Christian Horner's EMOTIONAL Red Bull farewell speech

The staff were not able to speak to me on camera, quite a few of them stopped to talk to me here and explain how upset they were that Christian Horner was leaving. Some of them had worked under him for 20 years and he has brought incredible success to this team. And even though they weren't getting the best results this season, they were still one of only three teams which were winning Grand Prix. But one unnamed individual passed on to me a video filmed by them of the speech Christian Horner gave to the staff here at Red Bull today. I think it will, in the emotion both from the staff and Horner himself, underline his personal investment in this team and also what the staff thought about him. Yesterday I was informed by Red Bull that operationally I will no longer be involved with the business or the team moving forward from after this gathering. I will still remain employed by the company but operationally the baton will be handed over. And that obviously tends the job obviously to myself but you know obviously what I've had time to do is to reflect over the last 12 hours or so and I wanted to stand in front of all of you to break this news and just express my gratitude to each and every single member of the team that has given so much during the last 20 and a half years that I've been here. When I arrived 20 years ago with a few less grey hairs I walked into a team I didn't know what to expect but I was immediately welcomed and out of two run down buildings we started to build what became a powerhouse in Formula 1. Watching and being part of this team has been the biggest privilege in my life.
