Hello guys, welcome back to my channel, this is Anushree, the name of my channel is Swimmer's
Guide.
By now my viewers must have got to know and for those who are new, let me tell you that
I teach step-by-step swimming.
In one day, I cover one step that goes from basic to advanced.
In the last video, we talked about kicking, how to kick, how to do freestyle kick on the
front float.
Today I will share with you some more techniques for kicking, how you can improve your kick.
So let's start.
In the last video, I showed you how to do freestyle kick on the front float.
Now, for those who are not able to do freestyle kick on the front float, or if you want to
practice freestyle kick on the front float, the more you practice, the more you will be
able to improve your kick.
So I will give you some tips on how to improve your kick.
The first step is to practice kicking with certain techniques.
For example, if someone's knee is bent while kicking, how can we improve it?
Or how can we get more power in the kick?
The first technique is to keep both hands forward and practice kicking with breathing
or with the ball.
The first technique is to practice kicking with breathing or with the ball.
Now I will tell you the second technique.
In the second technique, we will lean our body a little outward on the swimming float.
Now I am leaning my body forward.
How do you practice kicking on the front float?
Here.
You can see that my knees are not bent.
I am getting a little jerk when my leg is going inward.
This is how I practice kicking.
Now I will tell you the third technique.
There is a tube in the swimming float.
People usually go inside it.
There is a round tube inside it.
You don't drown in it.
You can take that tube or kickboards to practice kicking.
You can take a kickboard.
How do you hold it?
Like this.
If you hold anything with both hands, then you hold it like this.
What happens is that your head is usually outside.
So you have to hold it a little far.
You hold it a little far and dip your head and practice.
Something like this.
Now the next step.
I will tell you another technique.
This is also an exercise for your core.
The next technique is to kick.
You are sitting like this.
Lean your body a little backward.
Straighten your legs.
You have to make a V shape.
And kick like this.
Pull the stick.
And straighten your knees.
There are two benefits of this kick.
One is when we do freestyle.
The other is when we do backstroke.
So this kick will help you in both strokes.
After that, we come to the water.
Now I am giving you a tip.
If you are beginners or basic swimmers.
Basic swimmers generally kick well.
But I want to tell beginners that
your kick should not drop.
It should not stop.
If you are floating and you are coming out to breathe.
You are stopping your kick at that time.
Then your body will go down.
Even when we come out to breathe, our kick will work.
If possible, you have to apply more power to the kick.
So that you can breathe and your kick does not stop.
Then the body will not drop.
I will give you a demo.
Now look at this.
My kick is working.
I can breathe.
My body is not sinking.
My body is up.
In fact, if I want, I can keep my head completely out.
And still I can kick without wall support.
What I do in this?
I am doing my kick very hard.
I am applying power.
My body is not sinking.
I do not have to breathe up and down.
My head is also out.
But you have to practice with breathing.
You do not have to do this.
When we go to the advanced level, we can do this.
For beginners, you have to practice with a wall support.
And the techniques I have told you.
If you want to make your kick more powerful.
If your knees bend.
Then you follow those tips.
And practice it.
Your kick will improve automatically.
That's all for today.
See you in the next video.
