Join me for Day 2 of my Zhangjiajie adventure as I explore some of the park’s most iconic and breathtaking spots!
The journey begins at the East Gate before heading to Tianzi Mountain, where I visit five scenic viewpoints, including Fairy Scattering Flowers and Imperial Brush Peak.
Later, I take a peaceful stroll along the Gold Whip Stream, famous for its crystal-clear waters and playful monkeys, even walking through the rain to capture the stunning scenery.
Hello guys, this is Yong. Welcome back to my channel.
Today is my second day on a journey to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
So I'm gonna enter from the east gate which is the most iconic gate and serves as a portal for
the visitors. So just join me to explore this amazing place. I enter the scenic area through
the east gate. Then I take a cable car up to Tianzi Mountain and explore the beautiful
sights there. After that, I take a cable car down the mountain. Next, I take a shuttle bus
to Golden Wave Stream and enjoy a peaceful walk along the stream. Enter that iconic tower
Tianzi Mountain. I'm about to take the cable car.
Now I take a cable car up to Tianzi Mountain. The sky is cloudy today. As the cable car goes higher,
I can see layers of mountains all around me.
The clouds drift across the sky creating a dramatic ever-changing view.
The ride feels calm and I quietly enjoy the scenery from above.
My first stop at Tianzi Mountain is Fairy Scattered Flowers.
Here I stand before a standing rock formation that resembles a graceful fairy
holding a basket of flowers ready to scatter them across a valley below.
Covered in lush greenery, the figure almost looks alive against the dramatic mountain backdrop.
Legend says she's a celestial maiden turned to stone blessing these peaks with timeless beauty.
As clouds drift by, the light and shadows shift across the cliffs.
Making the scene feel magical. Somewhere between myth and reality.
This is just the beginning of Tianzi Mountain where every peak has its own story and every view
My second stop is the warrior taming his horse.
From this viewpoint, I see a striking rock formation that looks like a brave warrior
holding the reins of his horse. A giant stone figure stands tall and proud as if frozen in time
while taming his wildest deed. Local legend says this formation symbolizes strength,
courage, and determination. As I look at it, I can almost feel the power and spirit of the warrior
standing guard over these mountains. The scenery here is bold and dramatic.
A perfect contrast to the softer beauty of fairy maiden scattering flowers.
Next, I arrive at the Imperial Brush Peak. Here, several tall stone pillars rise sharply into the
sky. Looking just like giant calligraphy brushes standing upright. They seem to be carefully
arranged as if an emperor had placed his royal brushes here after writing. According to local
legend, these peaks represent the brushes of an ancient emperor left behind to bless the land
with wisdom and prosperity. Standing here, I admire the towering rocks and imagine the stories
they hold. The view is both majestic and peaceful, with the peaks reaching into the sky
like works of art carved by nature. Then I arrive at Yunqing Rock, one of the best viewing platforms
in Tianzi Mountain. Here, pine and cypress trees grow all around, adding a touch of green to the
rugged landscape. From this spot, I can see countless peaks rising sharply from the valley.
Creating a dramatic sea of mountains. It feels as if every peak is competing to stand taller
than the others. This is truly a perfect place to take in the beauty of Tianzi Mountain
and enjoy the breathtaking scenery that stretches in every direction. Tianzi Viewpoint.
Finally, I arrive at Tianzi Viewing Platform, the last stop of my visit in Tianzi Mountain.
From here, I get a panoramic view of the entire area. Countless peaks stretch across the horizon,
standing tall and majestic. It really feels like I'm standing at the top of the world,
surrounded by layers of mountains. This spot truly lives up to its name, Tianzi,
meaning son of heaven, offering views that are both grand and unforgettable.
Now it's time for me to take the cable car down the mountain and head to Golden Whip Stream.
As I get ready to leave, the weather starts to change. The sky grows darker, light rain begins to fall.
The raindrops gently hit the cable car windows as I descend, adding a calm,
almost peaceful feeling to the ride. The mist and rain together create a different kind of beauty,
soft, quiet, and mysterious. Even in the rain, the mountain still looks stunning.
Here I am at the entrance of Golden Whip Stream.
Look at these monkeys. They are sitting around, waiting for food from passing visitors.
Wow, what a jump.
I start walking along the stream, enjoying the sound of flowing water
and the lush scenery around me.
I keep going until I reach the U-shaped canyon.
I think this is a U-shaped valley.
But the rain becomes heavier and heavier, so I decide to turn back and return the same way.
Actually, if the weather was better, I could keep walking for another 4 or 5 kilometers
to reach the south gate. I don't see any visitors anymore,
I think people are just taking shelter from the rain.
I gotta call it a day because of the rain. Now I'll be heading back to the shuttle station
and end today's journey. Hope tomorrow it will not rain all the time. So see you guys tomorrow.
