DELICIOUS Taiwan Street Food at Tonghua Night Market!

good morning guys welcome to Taipei we landed in Taiwan last night and yeah okay I'm having to wash let me pick I'm having to wash everything I own when we left port barton in the philippines everything I own everything I own when we left port barton in the philippines we have some wet clothes I thought that I thought a great idea would be to wrap it in a towel put it in my bag turns out it leaks through and made everything in my bag wet all the smell is all right now I can't even scott mhairi it smells like bins I'm going to take this good laundry place and they've got a clever so we sussed out a laundry place on Google Maps we hope we can find it and we go get this SOI demo getting some breakfast and then we're going to try and go to the highest Starbucks in the world [Music] [Music] professional moon now I don't know what the kind of rules aren't costing them out there but it's clear so we're going to go a lot of places walk out yeah we're just like seeing a new country for what let's see what you do that was way easier than I expected because everywhere online was saying that nowhere does wash unfold you have to do it with yourselves and you have to like wait for it tumble dry it yourself and that would take quite a long time with the amount of clothes we've had so that was really hardly we don't do our washing but now that's all done now we're gonna pick out tomorrow morning it's like a 24-hour thing it's perfect I think it's about 16 pounds so how much we had that's not too bad that's really good and now I'm really excited because it's finally breakfast time we can finally get a morning coffee and then we can finally start exploring new city I think I think I never thought of coming here as in it wasn't like on my list I had but you have much mouth there but when we were on a bus from Thailand to Cambodia we were speaking to these guys that live in Philippines they live in Manila and they were like we were on a visa run once and we went to Taipei we went to Taiwan Taipei and they were like it was the most amazing place they being in Asia he was saying that how clean the streets are how it's got a really nice that were chilled out 5c were like fine we were stuck at the Hong Kong airfield if you're going to the Philippines about a long wooden fly and you know we had that really fix right like anything that was when we found of cheapest right the Taiwan we call perfect will give it and I'm glad we have to pay for it it's really nice [Music] I found some food valo or entities here and a pork curry with rice we literally there's more thin air ordinarily hair yes okay and it cost a pound so perfect for the traveler on a budget we just got a first look at Taipei 101 which is this huge building here that's really tall like the top is in the clouds I'm not sure where exactly the Starbucks is but supposed to be the first in the world so we're gonna see if the coffee tastes any different altitude [Music] so bottom line you have to like us - come on Starbuck it's not the same go today and you've gotta find this kiosk thing that's big eighty-nine [Music] okay we're at the wrong machine before so we think this is the one should have read this online if you're coming here read online first or watch this video which are really doing you need to book in advance the day before by cooling Starbucks it's crazy when either I guess to keep vote all the time and it gets so busy otherwise but yeah you have to basically call up waiter now go find a pay phone because iPhone said work your inner to one offense they lose the money on app too so it's cheaper to get a pay phone call them and make a reservation for tomorrow to take it to this is like the water cooler okay so we come back into the shopping center now Taipei 101 we're gonna have let this looks like freaking huge Apple still we're going to check out the new iPhone because we've been abroad for so long we haven't seen it yet so we're gonna have a little look now I think that's it I've no idea that's nice feels really good actually so this is the X s max okay put the expensive phones down and try and find a cheap way to pay phone to make a reservation at Starbucks if you really need an iced coffee now maybe we should go to a cafe a good thing about where we're staying is we're very very near a night market which we are gonna go and explore this evening try out some local food that we love doing that if you've been watching these travel videos you'll know that you'll know that we love eating our way around Asia and this is a new place so we've got to try the local food we've got to see what's going on oh so good the street food and night markets are generally the best ways to really eat local food we've found [Music] [Applause] right number one pick up number two point about how much in one of the coins who happens do you know the number and he takes one five and ten [Music] - style - happens dialogue definitely and then it's been a very kind man just came and helped us we were here like literally tried like eight times thing instead of gentleman over there it is kept not working and like there's other ways woman were speaking for some Andrea but we also can understand her so then we will excuse me and we can be helpful and he tried this in a work tried his own phone it's just so nice but he couldn't get through either I think the line like he must be engaged maybe that's my guess I just wouldn't dial wait it would be kind I have opened this phone it press really do that and look down and there B is like Risa calls that I mean understand no I Starbucks yes on the ground floor yeah it's in the basement no you no no no you can't call this a coffee like this is the most unhealthy chocolatey it's called a java chair I've never had tribe up and just batch that couple of hours working Starbucks and we're just about to leave the shopping mall but I just spotted a Sony store with a load of nice cameras at the front a 7r mach3 we're kind of sonic with full Panasonic's out for the moment but I mean look I mean look at this look at this we can always we can always be persuaded at some point I mean we love the g85 is it it's so heavy is there really I mean I don't think you did lot you wouldn't block with a lens like that but look at it [Music] that's a beast do as a Christmas present yeah they good if you fit anyone if not wider than resume and then then you get oh wow yeah I know it's a very quick technical section for those of you interested with this lens that we use a microphone thirty seven to 14 mil lens it goes as wide as that it can't go super super wide if we want it to and then it but it only zooms into there is that so Lucy and I are after and then we switch our lens for our beer all sections where it's nice close-up low background that's I think a 25 mil micro four-thirds legs yeah and then it goes really wide so we want something like let's go again so we want something like the lids we've just seen here which can go super wide then also go really zoomed in and get that nice blurry background effect all in one lens then we don't have to keep swapping and change the lens stuff but looks lights going to be a huge lens can be heavy so it more difficult to vlog with do you know the only problem of Sony's vaporization yeah and yeah and it's very low light no flip out screen [Music] well yeah burps so it does that it doesn't it doesn't do anything else that would be I look so nice it's very heavy no I struggle with the Hechavarria wait at this one with the gorilla [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay we just on top bar and we are at one of many night markets in this area lol ahsoka is really really busy it's obviously really really popular we're going to get some tasty food hopefully and it's like right it's night because of all the lights it feels like daylight so it seems to be across like two streets this street and the one over the road there so we're going to walk down this one first what we like to do in markets like this we've done similar ones in Thailand so good we like to kind of walk down and suss out what we like the look off first and then go back and choose because we made the mistake when we first went a night walk it's a we were starving and we were like that looks nice we got it we filled up and then we saw all this other nice food and we were like oh I wish we've waited and actually got something better so there's some chicken and then you get all sorts [Music] - they don't have English translations on the menu and it's very very like there's no time zone understand so we've Speight something that we like look off it's like a roll with cheese and chicken his or me beef is that what it's called do you think Oh No maybe anything here it's all like rested in a different language here so we're gonna had to get and it's just over a pound which is pretty good no thanks okay so it looks like they make it fresh for down thank you thank you very much hey he asked if we wanted it spicy Lisi tried to ask how we the stuff on the side which is a good thing to do I think incipit and I think the red stuffs what make it spicy because the people behind us had it without that and if they said no spicy yeah it's in the past we have to eat stuff and we've missed out I was supposed to eat it and we went for chicken there was loads of different choices of meat we got chicken oh my god I can see the grease on your lips tastes really really really greasy spicy I'm gonna get some chicken because all that had attracted the outer really good that is really really good just takes the spirit like to tuck in pasty interior but deep fried and when it created and surrounded with like crispy deep-fried goodness their cheese a nap this should be teasing them I've got to be a butt is really kind of ism is a bit like that mine up idiot you writers Panetta space like something he tried already good it spicy or ending with a really are one of them spring rolls better Vietnam will be a yeah it's very crispy yup yes please thank you nice this is some crispy pork this is spicy tacos okay sounds pause baby say it looks very unhealthy again there's a nurse yeah and tasty spicy is on the pony I didn't realize that oh wow it's actually really hard to eat so it's kind of deep fried and crispy but there we go that's much better easy with your bingo it's easy with your fingers it's gonna be bone yeah those are young puppy take me mad [Music] good these pieces faith eyesight the box what's that passel oh yeah that's three out of three deep-fried so far that's really bad let's try and get something not deep-fried we've despite this a flaky scallion pancake we're gonna go for a garlic and herb spread yes please very good yes thank you and this isn't deep fried it's just fried my mama it's not plain the garlic is really nice please have any to give screw - I think I'm gonna smell after this like my mouth full of garlic now it's nicer right [Music] there's nothing wrong with that it's nothing wrong with it so it's actually really nice but it needs more flavor I'm speaking on some food connoisseur it's a decent it's a decent little snack it's apparent tasty and it costs like 75 paise so we can't really complain thank you thank you Oh sugar this is why you ask our youth drink stuff thank you so the guy has a little sign a little tourist sector there so I was way too sweeps like it fits up in the bottom here to the brown sugar that's right really and then the lady sprinkle brown sugar and stuff and then torch them and paralyze their bed because there are 18 times they've gotten bit spot and there's ice on the box I think it kind of going to college is it anything like iced coffee an iced tea I don't like tea I like the coffee is that really other bulls nice iced coffee so the bottom the bottom baby brown sugar aftertaste like a friendly hello don't know if you like to see it let me try then you got a suck kind of hard there you go you can see the balls going up but you don't like tea how nice the balls the balls again I'm gonna hide my facial expression on during this there because that's obviously like very very poor my thing yes how many going up yeah alright for someone that doesn't like it you're drinking quite a lot so nice just yell about it already tea though is that I still don't like it this whole time we've been early -
