Welcome to another Daily Juice.
It's 6.32am, we are leaving Cambodia today.
Morning.
Good morning.
Always scout a room guys before you leave a hotel.
Every time, side of the beds, under the bed,
look everywhere to check that you haven't left something.
And most importantly, do not forget your bus snacks.
Fully Asian breakfast this morning, I think for the first time.
Oh, you've got a fried potato.
Other than that, I think this is really really steamed up.
This is your coffee by the way.
Enjoy.
We've hopped in a tuk-tuk now for $3.
Another day, another tuk-tuk.
Literally, and we're going to somewhere called Oraste Market,
which is where the bus is picking us up from.
We're meant to be there an hour early,
but it's quite a lot less than an hour before the bus leaves.
We prioritised breakfast this morning,
because we're probably not going to have lunch.
Just got on the bus without Lucy.
She's decided she needed the toilet, just as the bus was pulling away.
Great.
Made it.
They've given us these like massive packets,
and they're just like plain.
And we also picked up some baked goods at this little bakery,
in actually quite near our hotel.
So I've got an almond croissant to eat in a bit,
and Geordie's got a pan.
We've upped our snack game.
Forget the 7-Eleven Pringles.
We're on pastries.
Funny story, we thought they were really cheap,
because we had bought them on Wi-Fi,
but Geordie's little converter app was saying
that the pastries were like 25 cent each,
and they were all really nice.
And we were like, wow, that's amazing.
We go to pay, and they were like,
because we were expecting to be a couple of dollars for a few pastries,
and they went, uh, $9 please.
And we were like, hmm?
And we were like, no, no, no, that's wrong.
We were showing them this app.
In the end, we connected to their Wi-Fi, refreshed the app,
and it turns out that the currency thing hadn't loaded properly,
and it had given us a total false amount that it should be.
And we were there just like telling them that they were wrong,
that we were idiots,
and we just ended up paying loads of money for these pastries.
So it better be nice.
I'm not sure our passports have just been taken.
Did she work with the bus company?
No idea.
We should probably go and chase our passports.
So the bus has just pulled in.
I think we've got a 15-20 minute stop here.
I think we've probably got about three more hours on the road, maybe.
There's a stop here, you can get food or a drink if you want.
And wow, that is hot.
It is...
What is the time?
I don't even know the time.
It's 10 past 12, so it's like midday, midday sun.
We've lost the woman that has our passports,
and I don't know where she's gone.
She went down that way.
God knows.
Well, this place is actually a guest house.
It's like in the middle of nowhere.
The maps don't work because I don't have any GPS.
With our phones, when we get to Vietnam,
our phones will work as normal because we're the three.
And it's one of their home-and-away country things,
so it'll be really handy, won't it?
Yeah.
There she is, doing our passports.
Doing something with them.
Just trying to work out where we are.
I think, if you look here, this white line is a border.
Just there.
And we're just here.
So we're about to cross over now into Vietnam.
Yay!
And then Ho Chi Minh City's down there.
I don't know what we're doing.
We're in a public bus.
We're in Vietnam, guys.
We're in Vietnam.
The crossing was super smooth, actually.
We were really, really impressed.
We had to take all our luggage off the bus,
which was different to the Cambodian border crossing.
But other than that, it's all plain sailing.
And we've just had our dinner confirmed.
So a company called Bonsai Cruises, like the tree, Bonsai,
have sent us an email a couple of days ago.
Oh, no, it was only yesterday, wasn't it?
Yep.
God, we're so fast-paced these days.
Just saying, we've got this thing called a dinner cruise.
We saw the name cruise, and we were like, we're in anyway, whatever it is.
Because you know we love our cruises.
It's like a really...
Is this guy winding me up?
It's like a really nice and fancy dinner cruise.
And there's entertainment on there, and it looks amazing, this cruise.
But he's just texted me now saying they've arranged a pick-up for us.
They can also offer us a flow of soft draft beer and house wine.
Juicy vlog back on the beers.
We had a few days off.
We're here.
That wasn't too bad.
A 20-minute walk for eight.
So good.
And our bags are heavy, and it's hot, so I think it's the best thing to do.
So we're going to go check in at our hotel now.
We've got a few hours then to...
We were going to get some food, but tonight's dinner looks amazing.
So we're not going to, so we're super hungry for it.
It looks so cool here.
I'm really excited to explore it.
Oh, here we go.
Here's our grab.
We are very, very excited to be here.
Driving in, I saw about 85 different coffee shops.
There's another one there.
There are so many.
Yeah, I'm thinking coffee is a big part of life here, which I'm very, very happy about.
Okay, we're here.
This hotel room's not too bad.
It's actually got a little desk and the tiniest bath you've ever seen.
Quick turnaround here.
We've probably got about an hour, have a freshen up, edit yesterday's vlog,
sort ourselves out, and then we're off to dinner.
It's a big bed.
I don't know what this is, but it's nice.
Guys, you know what it's time for?
No, no, no, no, not that.
It's time for this.
But I wanted to do that.
No, we'll do that in a minute.
Oh, okay.
Here we are.
That's not bad, but as you guys know, it's not the download speed we care about.
It's the purple.
Oh, wow.
Yes, boy.
So we've just started unpacking and can you hear that?
I started unpacking my bag and it was vibrating and I was like, what the hell is that?
Turns out my electric toothbrush has been on for God knows how long.
So we've got all dressed up.
I'm wearing a raincoat.
Yes, it's still raining, but it's fine.
I'm wearing eyeliner for the first time in ages and lip gloss.
The Grab's picking us up now.
So the company tonight are called Bonsai Cruise, we said earlier.
And I don't actually know how they found us, it was Instagram or YouTube,
but they sent us a message and said, we'd love to send you on a cruise this evening.
And it's like entertainment.
There's loads of drinks, unlimited drinks, a buffet.
We get to just sort of cruise along the river, which will be really nice.
There's loads of different boats lined up along here.
And we've just been given an umbrella from the lovely people at the port.
This is so nice.
It's literally like being on an actual cruise ship.
Nope.
I still might have a beer in a bit.
So there's going to be a little show here later this evening.
We'll show you all the food properly, but from what we've seen, it looks insane.
Let's get some Pad Thai.
Got some fresh Pad Thai here, and some sides.
How cool?
So nice.
I can't wait to get it back, but it's the main course.
We make ourselves first, let everyone else start.
We can't try this, we're going to be locked out of it now.
I'm so happy.
I've never seen you look so happy in your life.
Bit of context here, my nickname with Lucy's dad is two puddings.
Because I always have two puddings, at least two puddings.
One, two, three, four, five.
I've got five here tonight.
There once was a time on an old family holiday where I had 22 puddings like this in one night.
Like this kind of size.
So you can see how you can have 22 puddings.
No, you can't.
22 of them.
This is called a cappuccino.
Wow.
I got two.
Two puddings.
Wow.
You don't even know if you like it.
I just knew I was going to like it.
I'll try it.
Amazing?
That is so good.
I think Claire would like that as well.
It tastes like strong, a nice strong coffee.
I also got a sponge cake, another sponge cake, and a banana cake.
Wow, they're all like dream puddings.
I'm going to have like eight more of these, I swear.
We're off the boat and that was so, so good.
We both had the best time.
What a good idea.
Why don't they do this in Brighton at like Brighton Marina to do a little dinner cruise?
Honestly, that was so good.
Dinner, unlimited beer and wine, great food, like great entertainment.
It was honestly so, so good.
So thank you to Bonsai Cruises who invited us on this.
And we also eyed up the other ships that were there.
And I think ours was like the best one, isn't it?
I like to think so.
Suddenly at the end, they did like a Beatles song.
And like the guitarist like gave me a little nod because he could tell we were from the UK.
He was like, Beatles.
He's like, this one's for you.
We've ordered a taxi now.
We're on our little app and should be here.
It's 80p, that's like, that's like guilty cheap.
I feel guilty that it's that cheap.
80p for like a 10 minute drive back to our hotel.
Well, I think it's going to be bedtime.
So guys, thank you so much for watching today.
Hope you enjoyed the vlog.
Hope you enjoyed seeing us on that boat cruise.
It was so, so cool.
Right, fine.
Lucy, Lucy gets jealous when I speak too much on the vlog.
Well, I don't get jealous.
You do.
But I feel like you're missing out on me.
Do you know what I mean?
Wow.
Okay, you end it as usual.
Thank you so much for watching, guys.
We hope you enjoyed this video.
We are loving Vietnam.
There's tiny little glimpses we've had today.
But we've got some very exciting, very exciting things planned tomorrow, actually.
But that also means a great early start.
We've probably about two bottles of wine between us and a couple of beers.
So not sure how that's going to work.
But see you nice and bright and early again in the morning.
Please subscribe if you are new to these videos.
And give it a big thumbs up because that really helps us.
And we'll see you tomorrow, as always.
Bye.
