Hey, we're Taylor Redd. Today we're reacting to Babymonsterz' Batter Up music video. Here we go.
Oh my gosh. This is crazy. Alert. Alert. Whoa. They're on fire. Wow. Freaking me out. Just the intro. I mean
they're letting us have it. They're setting the bar. I thought this would be about baseball.
Did she say no matter what? I liked it.
Oh my gosh. She's like a mythical creature. Centaur. I was thinking Britney Spears with
the school girl outfit. And I wanted to see what her hat says. It says star dumb.
A baby egg. Yeah. Like a baby monster. Okay, there's a monster egg in this. Is that a Lady Gaga egg?
This has reminded me of Ariana Grande. Just some of her vocals. Obviously,
this sounds like Blackpink, right? Well, I feel like they haven't done any
of that. Okay, that's Blackpink. That reminds me of Taylor Swift to me. Yeah,
that's true. I don't know. Remember me? I feel like that would be on her reputation album.
That's true. Somewhere. How you like that? Okay. You got me. But they're their own group.
I'm obsessed with the name baby monster. A baby is so polarizing from a monster. Just like black
and pink are total opposites. Sounds like a wrestling name. It sounds like, you know,
if you were in roller derby. This is their debut single too.
The production is insane. We went from the school bus to literally Frozen's
lair. Maybe the little ear things is because it's monster.
Oh, this is like awesome. Amazing. We need to use this in all of our TikToks now. There was so
much English that I didn't catch it when they were, you know, going in another language. So,
I really appreciate that. We need this. It does hurt my self-esteem when I see this kind of
dancing. I'm wishing themselves just a great dance group. Beautiful, can sing amazing. They're coming
in hot. I love like to see the different personalities on an introduction video. You
know, we already can like gravitate towards certain ones, you know. Not very singy and
they're trying to be all pretty the whole time. It's like, you know, they're strapped up. They're
already hitting the rhythmic notes. They're not like trying to make you like, oh, they're so cute
and pretty. They're like, no, we're going to hit you. Wow. What do y'all think? Yeah,
a giant dune buggy. Thank you. Can we borrow that? Can I have a board ride with that? Who would get
to drive the dune buggy? Me. Me, duh. And her rap sounds so like, this girl's like a real rapper.
She sounds like, oh, it's not like a singer rapping. It's like a rapper rapping. Oh yeah,
she's legit. Oh, we got another rapper. Wow. Oh, she's a little more prissy, I think. She's got
the fur on and this is fun. I like the contrasting looks and their voices are like, she's a little
more higher pitched too with her rap. They're drastically different in styles.
That pink fur. She is a rapper. That's what I was going to say. Natalie could pull off some pink fur.
I could pull off the look, just not the rap. I could see you in the hat. Yeah, it's cold wherever
they are. The rappers are in the front right now. This is so cool. I love this. So, they're like,
establishing themselves with two great rappers so far. So far, I could be wrong. I know. By the
end of it, we'll see. Well, and you will figure out their name is Baby Monster because it is in
this video. Oh, it sure is. In the background. Branding on fluke. It kind of looks like Monster
High toys. Yeah. And the CD is so powerful, girls. Yes, it is. I like that. Whoa. Yes,
this is amazing. No, I can't. Do that again.
You're pretty good. Got a red hair. Oh, girl. Keep bringing it.
Okay, I like the sting like a bee the best. That's what I'm referring to this song first.
It's not sting like a bee, sweetie. It's sting like a bee. Yeah. What's edgier than red and black?
Evail, awesome, empowering.
This reminds me of like, oh my goodness, 2000s. Like, Christina Aguilera.
All right, this is my favorite. Like, we batter, batter, batter. I just love it. It's so fun.
It's like, is that a saxophone in the background too? Because I love that instrument. It's like
fancy, you know, like I'm so fancy. Yeah, it reminds me of fancy, the instrument, that horn,
whatever that is. And they kind of have baseball gloves on. That's neat. And I love every song
where they build up on the pre-chorus, then all the music drops out, everything. And then it goes
batter up. The combat boots come all the way up to their hips. Okay, I love that. Obviously,
they have so many baseball references, you know, going, going, gone. Well, I wonder if there's
something to do with baby monster being a bee and then batter up. Just some kind of subconscious,
like, amazingness of alliteration. And do y'all think, like, the batter up kind of means, like,
like, please give it a shot? Like, batter up? Like, who's gonna, like, try to, you know,
steal my heart or something? You know, and they're like, you know, I sting like a bee,
kind of. They're up to bat. And this is their first single, so it symbolizes them being up to
bat billboard-wise or music-wise. And I'm stepping up to the plate. I'm gonna hit a home run. They're
monsters. Yeah, baby monsters might be worse than big monsters. Uh-oh. And I love how they
just have one word, well, one phrase is, like, four lines of the chorus because it's that good.
Yeah, the dancing's going along with the lyrics, which is really cool. Like, the baseball dance,
you know, I feel like it can be replicated as a TikTok dance, so maybe that's their goal,
some of these, um, little moves, you know. Like, you could pick up on, like,
some of it and be probably, like, a D version of this. Yeah, totally. I like the blue clothes.
Oh, just to make more. That's what I was thinking. They're in Spain now!
They have to play Monster High. They're in school or something. I don't know in Spain.
They're like cheerleaders now. Yes. We're in the draft. Wow. The song sounds different,
but they're saying batter up. It's the matrix meets baby monster. And I love how they're saying
we are the monsters of the world. They're already putting themselves in a song. Their own song,
it's gonna be a hit. Oh, what? I love this. They always do that to us on these K-pop songs. It's
like, I'm not ready for it to end. Right. Practically writing it for all the news headlines.
Home run for baby monsters, batter up. I mean, it's just easy to write.
