hey y'all we're in mcallen texas i'm ready it gets hot in texas [Music] okay natalie's seat is adjusting majorly it's like a booster seat yeah five foot one it's like a booster seat on this thing i've never seen such on a van before uh-oh still adjusting the spaceship we are in the vans park our engine cart engine harlingen and we're headed to mcallen texas looks like florida with these palm trees i know it's been nice [Music] we are about to head to our gig and i got natalie carrying everything almost i've got these two things but at least doing most of my heavy lifting today she's she's owed us a few times yeah i always do the heavy lifting no you don't that's a lie that is a lie they say that former president stayed here at this hotel so we're pumped that's how we roll and roll with the president texas is where the presidents stay natalie's got the minivan it's like the only thing [Music] oh my gosh she's showing off now now she's got the little things she's like hold the camera real quick feel me help me he's trying to clean it up in there but [Music] okay i thought it was on the carpet he was just cleaning it up in there we can't let nicole go anywhere [Music] nashville in texas this heat i'm welcoming this heat this is like our first gig with you have a jacket on it's like the beginning of spring summer i'm like this is my favorite time of year i'm ready it gets hot in texas i've hit nicole with the door how are you feeling it was really the wind every time we get in the car it's like there's somebody in the steering wheel when they have control over the ac it's like there's two kind of people people who just put the ac on a reasonable temperature or a blast radius then there's natalie she literally puts it on whatever the highest degree of everything is it's like it's like turn right literally it drives me crazy it's like we get in the car and she just blasts the ac blast the wind it's like knocking your hair back i can't hear anything 100 degrees outside sorry i put the cool air on for you and then you're freezing and 100 degrees outside and in here we're like you know the north pole it's just kind of annoying i don't know it drives me crazy well i'm just considerate sorry consider it people get on your nerves natalie has pulled up successfully to the back of his place thank you all for being so accommodating no no worries we can move in we're hoping we don't fall off the stage tonight they actually raised that up it was electronic and i guess it's an orchestra pit as well oh a pit what's your favorite song of the set playing fresh off the farm if i'm allowed to say that devil went down to georgia orange blossom special with natalie playing that that's really fun i have to name a banjo song let's see i like your foggy mountain breakdown yes probably banjo update it has been healed in a surgery that was performed in nashville tennessee like glacier instruments there's no scar damage can't even tell it ever happened that's amazing the neck was cracked on this very big fracture on the neck region and thanks to the modern day you know technology things like this you won't notice it's nice modern day technology what was modern day technology in this i don't know glue um a lot of things that i don't even know fire wind yeah water some kind of computer technology that hasn't been invented yet i don't know and then my bridge was actually straightened out so that's always good when your bridge doesn't fall every time you travel with it then you have to reposition it and line up intonation again so i have a perfect banjo intonation today and it was set up by a pro and not me um pro luthier in nashville tennessee so it's like my dream fresh strings you can tell everybody what happened um if they don't know from previous videos i don't want to name any names but something on our way from nashville to las vegas there was a connecting flight so it was and we heard actually on the plane we won't name names some big damage like we heard like some cases getting thrown into the plane we felt it on the plane so i assume it was that um and so yeah the neck like crap this whole nut here that supports all the strings was totally loose so the banjo was unplayable the banter was buzzing for three shows there was nothing i could do it was completely unplayable for one show we used a capo to fix it and kind of hold it as a temporary nut and then i had to play every song up one fret so which is super hard stressful but it all worked out fine she she held it together really good it's your favorite song to play in the set um definitely dueling banjos logging out breakdown all the banjo songs i love hold on that's fun i like wagon wheel i love playing let me think i like jolene i like jolene um what else do you like i said favorite song is in one song i like to play songs so it's hard to you know but yeah i like to play this thing the most real quick testing testing one two testing one two testing one two my favorite songs to play in the set are wagon wheel because um i like playing the fiddle that song i think it's a really classic bluegrass one because we get to kind of sing almost the volume of nika as a harmony singer it's really fun wilson phil's just known for their harmonies so like all their harmonies were super loud so we get to sing super loud and that song being nicole so those two are my favorite songs what do you think about mcallen texas i love it it's really hot it's a nice city it's really super nice and everything's bigger in texas something about this weather's making all of our instrument tuning on so that's unfortunate but that's the only negative we are sound checking banjo is working natalie broke a string before we got started [Music] here's the star of the show the fiddle that's good testing testing testing testing testing hey y'all we're in mcallen texas during our last show of the tour in mcdowell in texas we played around 25 to 30 shows throughout the past couple months i think this is our fourth or fifth texas state though in the middle of all those other dates we played all the way from washington to illinois indiana washington oregon one georgia date yeah california a lot of texas pennsylvania we even did dollywood yeah that was really fun in tennessee thanks for uh everybody who came out and thanks for watching because you're kind of been here if you watch these videos we've been playing hour and a half shows we do like an intermission in the middle it's been really fun i've been playing the violin and mandolin nike has been doing the guitar nicole's been playing guitar and banjo and fly with our instruments on a plane they call us banjo got cracked one time but it's all good now but summary killed playing a lot of covers originals a lot of the songs that we released as well yeah we haven't been late to one show so that's good got my ipad mini i read my lyrics i'm trying to read them before the show i usually just um it's hard like it's weird because i can't like talk through the lyrics in my brain i have to like sing them in my brain to remember the lyrics because like if i talk it it just doesn't make sense y'all just doesn't ready for the show we got a big crowd out there we are ready to go [Music] [Applause]
