Are you a wheelchair user dreaming of sailing through Alaska or exploring the rugged beauty
of the west coast? The Discovery Princess might just be your perfect ship. Stick around as we
take you inside one of the wheelchair accessible mini suites because accessible luxury at sea
is definitely a thing. With Princess's medallion technology the door unlocks automatically.
No need to juggle room keys or do awkward wrist gymnastics. Just roll up and you're in. This is
the accessible mini suite and it lives up to the name. Wide open floor plan, easy maneuver and no
strange layouts getting in your way. The bathroom is fully equipped for wheelchair users. Roll in
shower, fold down bench, grab bars and insulated pipes to prevent burns. Everything's positioned
where it should be and it actually works. We had space for four people each with a suitcase and a
carry-on. Plus I brought a full setup of medical supplies for a 10-day cruise and still had room
to spare. The room configuration includes two twin beds that convert into a king, a pop-up sofa bed
and even a pull-down bed from the ceiling above the couch. Perfect for families or friends sharing
a space without feeling cramped. For my cruise I had an adjustable bed delivered right to the cabin
and when you call me to book your trip I can help arrange one for you too. So everything's set up
before you even roll on board. You'll also find two tvs one facing the main bed the other facing
the seating area with the curtain you can draw between them if someone wants to stay up watching
while the other crashes early. Smart and practical. This accessible balcony is so easy you can roll
right out and soak in glacier passes and wildlife right from your chair. It's your own private
viewing deck perfect for those early mornings sipping coffee while stunning Alaska scenery
drifts by. Back inside there's a desk, a fridge for medication or essentials and nightstands that are
easy to reach. If you're planning a cruise to Alaska or the west coast and you need a space
that's actually built with accessibility in mind this reserve collection mini suite on the Discovery
Princess is a fantastic option. From the thoughtful room layout to the accessible balcony and the
option to add medical equipment like an adjustable bed it all just works. As a certified Expedia
Cruises travel agent who actually uses a wheelchair I understand the details that matter and I can make
sure your experience is smooth from booking to boarding. So if this looks like your kind of
vacation reach out. I'll help you reserve the right accessible stateroom, coordinate any special needs
and make sure you're ready to sail. And don't forget to like, comment and subscribe for more
