DJI Mavic Air -FIRST FLIGHT REVIEW!

[Music] hi guys welcome to another juicy vlog we're very excited about filling today's video on me we are indeed our new drone has arrived like a month earlier than we're expecting here it is that was a plan that was about this isn't a normal kind of video we're gonna doing do a quick review today for you guys we're gonna unbox it here then we're gonna head straight out it's a gorgeous day outside unlike a lot of videos we've seen for these unboxings and they're kind of like professional like drone pilots and like experts in their field however we all kind of we've had its tremble we've we've currently selling our DJI phantom 3 advanced so we have thrown a drone before we've never played this basically we've never flown this one so you're gonna see like a stripped back review today need rain very very excited we're gonna get out the box and like you said we're gonna get it straight outside first of all we're amazed how small like the boxes it's tiny the drain the main reason we're upgrading from the Phantom is that the Phantom is huge the barrel gotta carry around in this massive this is so compact so small and if some of you guys do receive this and think Pamela didn't order the white one all the boxes have a white drain on but you've got a little thing on the top here that says what color you're guessing and I saw someone say that and I'm I'm over this and I went hang on what so let's open it do it so straightway the carry case and I think the drone is in this is crazy go get the one for our bag for our home Joe so this is the back we're currently using for the fans and three of Barnes look at the size and Harrison here guys look at that that is a joke that's life we need to carry this around in look at that this is crazy so this is the first thing that you see in the box underneath that you've got the propellers and the propeller protect the things and with the instructions in there and then you've got the video controller which again is absolutely tiny but we'll show you bit more about the things in a set then all you're like charger things and here but standard stuff that the joint is actually inside this thing it is tiny there is that fly more bundle you can get with this drone and I thought the fly ball had this back in it but it turns out it's a separate travel bag but when I saw that I was really happy because I thought we weren't having a case all right you understand it we nearly ordered an extra bag for that 60 quid because we're like we don't have a case but luckily comes with this which is a little bit wow this is so small that's crazy look at that I actually fits if you look in online of this you don't know how big is they actually fits in the palm of my hand this is an iPhone 7 not the class similar size to iPhone 7 I think it is the same class of the class I'd say yeah that's ridiculous mad so basically they all flips out you don't have to propel us on this giant which is the best thing I think we're not gonna okay they flip out like that to the bottom the back ones flip out under like that frontal ones go around they flip out and then you ready to fly so much easier than twisting on the propellers by hand on the Phantom series you can see it's not gonna buggies in there yeah and then you've got like two cameras on the front the sentences two on the back and then two underneath yet you under here as well yeah so if you're flying forwards and backwards it's not gonna hit into objects if you go towards a tree or a building it stops before you hit it not that we recommend flying it into a tree rebuilding to test that out I will not be doing that today no right we're gonna get this thing outside guys we know that's what you really want to be before we go this is the controller it's so much smaller as well thankfully out like this and instead of fiddling around let the other fountain we had to have like a Mac able to plug our phones in here you've got a little adapter here that we call it an adapter might look like an iframe pull up there and then you literally just slot it in put it outside okay we've come out to the location we're going to fly the drone it is cold and it's windy so this is actually gonna be a really really good test for the Maverick air and because it is smaller we did kind of wonder how it would handle in the wind yeah let's get it up so with the controller these little bits here come out I'll do it back to front hang on and then inside so you can see these little like what I call joystick things on there and then underneath here you let you put it out of here and then screw on here so now they're on and then these little things come up here so then we've got to plug the phone in so obviously - bit there into here and then there's bone like slide stuff into that I think it's really cool cuz it's now like it's such a small controller and they know it's like a normal sized ones but it's made up from maybe your phone I still probably if it just comes in this size bag here we go so firstly we're going to take off the gimbal protector like that little bit of plastic fold out the downward legs first then the side ones and then on the side ones the landing gear so these little things so that's gonna make sure it's nice and steady on the ground for you to take off okay we've calibrated the compass and we've got GPS we've got 14 satellites we're connected to says ready to go let's get it in the air [Music] well so far we're getting a lot of like signaling saying that it's very very windy out so we have been quite powerful attitude is too large backward sensing is unavailable what does that mean you can see it's been dragged by the wind I'm not controlling it and it's like being pushed over so we try some of the trick shots in a minute yeah we're currently in 4k 24 frames per second and it's looking really good hands gonna hold on right and it's all cool it's tracking mark as you're walking around so it's tracking us all down here we've got it set up to do some trick shots and you've got drainie circle helix rocket boomerang asteroid [Music] there's currently just done the asteroid move where is that really I can't go yeah in the same place they're now gonna try the boomerang mode let's see how it goes in this wind so what do i do again [Music] so we're trying out the smart move now Malusi is able to control the drone with her hands they go this is so cool guys like lutz you just watch everything and it knows like it doesn't let it get too close to me sorry it's beeping more a low-battery oh yeah there we go you're gonna hit me really impressive that considering how windy it is like it is really really really windy we're getting loads of caution messages coming up on the screen but it stayed wrote was it was very stable we haven't seen the footage yet but we'll have a look them to get home the best thing to me is how like compact it is and how easy it is to use and not having to fiddle around putting the propellers on every time and it was really fun playing around the different modes we all do more of that and get more practice um since it was our first flight today so and we'll have a look and see sort of what other things they can do and play around with other ones and obviously we like we did the boom range of some like a patch of grass and stuff but you can imagine it was like this amazing scenery in front of you like it's gonna be really cool I think we're gonna use it a lot so keep an eye out for our usual videos we're gonna be using this a lot thank you so much for watching we hope you enjoyed this quite real-life sort of tutorial and review on the pneumatic we are so excited this and can't wait to get out and use it more give this video a thumbs up you enjoyed it subscribe if you're new to our channel and check out our other videos absolutely [Music] [Applause] you
