Why YouTube Demonitization DOESNT MATTER! (How Much Money We Earn)

hi guys welcome to another TC blog today we want to address something that is going on on YouTube right now in the YouTube awareness and a lot of people are upset about this we kind of want to explain why you don't have to be oh that means I dinner's ready before we start like explaining our opinions on all of this we are over the threshold and we haven't been affected by this so obviously we are very like empathetic for the people who are below so before we say anything here like we're not being horrible like at all and we understand why you're frustrated and by saying that you might think well it's easy for you to say no because it's not failure but we just want to kind of give our opinion on it and share our views on why it shouldn't matter yeah because it's basically everywhere all over Twitter isn't it yeah a lot of people have been very upset about it anyway here is what YouTube say if you haven't heard about this so this is the email that a lot of smaller creators now wouldn't even say for creative because I think we're small creators yeah so channels under a thousand subscribers basically and four thousand hours watch time in the last twelve months got this email under the new elegy under the new eligibility under the new eligibility requirements announced today your YouTube channel the name of the YouTube channel not gonna read out who's we're using it's no longer available for monetization because it doesn't meet the new threshold or four thousand hours of watch time within the past 12 months and 1000 subscribers as a result your channel will lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the YouTube Partner Program On February 20th 2018 unless you support this threshold within the next 30 days so accordingly the CMOS says the 30 day notice that your YouTube Partner Program terms are terminated so this sounds really serious and stuff I think I could have said it a bit better maybe I don't know a way to receive thanked made it out as it is a lot of smaller creators people hundr thousand subscribers I hate small creators because there's some people who are making such good content here are low subscribed cats a lot of people are upset about this and annoyed and they feel like YouTube don't care about them they feel like YouTube of punishing them yeah but to be honest the way we see it we agree on this don't let it do that if you're a smaller creator let me do the opposite be encouraged by this firstly making money on YouTube should never be the reason you make YouTube always said even like I don't even think we manage myself if we didn't know you could monetize videos subscribe yeah yeah fit a pastor threshold which is quite ironic I said with our kind of numbers you don't make much at all in fact okay here is what we made in the first reais doing YouTube this if nothing like you this is the kind of figures that these channels will be looking at so like the money shouldn't even matter can't even come into it I think too many people these days are trying to do YouTube trying to start YouTube to make money and get freebies yeah and to us that is just such a shame because there's people like us we're proud of our content we enjoy the editing we enjoy the creativity it allows us to do it allows us to have a relationship with you guys and to be honest is something to do in our spare time which feels productive rather than just about what's in Netflix definitely and in saying again like I feel like we're treading on eggshells a bit we're not saying that everyone who's annoying about this is saying it because they are losing out on money like we're not saying that yeah but a future a few people we have watched and a few tweets we've seen kind of a swaying towards the YouTube taking my money away from Justin loads and loads of negativity like fu YouTube what are you doing to us blah blah blah like you to miss the platform that for free allows you to put content on there and potentially reach a big audience if you're good yeah like don't diss YouTube like YouTube has its flaws with some things but we love YouTube it's such a youtube doesn't have to exist yeah and could have traditional media still like TV ruling YouTube is such a cool space where anyone could has the same upload button anyone can create something anyone can take to audience I think there's too much negativity on YouTube and I also think that if I know it's all again all very well saying this is we haven't been sort of we haven't been sent this email I've genuinely do think if we were saying that we'd go oh my god so in 24 February let's crack on let's go that watch timeout there are pausing so I've account and let's actually work let's not focus on our videos as planned no delete channel not interested I think that's a site I think that's a total wrong way that you should want you to take this I've seen so many people on Twitter say given up on YouTube now because of this this is the final straw no I don't know come on if they finally do that if you enjoy creating if you've got a passion for it and this is kind of gonna weed out people who don't care too much about it anyway so it's probably a good thing yeah if you've got the passion and creativity for it do it don't think about the money just work on your content yes it's like a challenge see it as inspiration see it as let's put all our effort in let's upload daily let's get to a thousand subscribers it's exciting if anything like even though I just can't help but think people watching this are gonna be saying well until you have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and you're clever with your content and you're getting some interests from brands and things like that you can't make decent money on YouTube anyway and at the end of the day like as we've said in our our Darby video the way you make money on YouTube is through brand stuff it's through brand advertising and through sponsored posts and promotion on YouTube it's trying to say you don't get paid a huge amount from Adsense like if you guys don't know how it all works it's literally like pennies per video length of time like it's it's not a huge amount of money at at all so lastly just to add the point of view from an advertiser paying money to pay adverts on YouTube which is what this whole thing is about YouTube's decision to do this isn't to punish creators it's not it's to protect advertisers it's to restore faith in YouTube from advertisers after like the Logan Paul video yeah and just a few things like that that happened on YouTube so if we were an advertiser we'd like to know that our money is being spent on content that reaches the right people and certain quantity of people so this now is going to ensure that the adverts are going to the right places and the right people yeah like we should we should celebrate that as well because advertising revenue keeps YouTube running keeps the whole thing going and it keeps the platform that we love and that we can create on it keeps it a space that we can use and I think at the end of the day all of this message from us to you whether you're watching as someone who's over or under the threshold is just keep doing what you're doing and don't let this get you down I've seen people with like that are over the threshold like doing a video and moaning about it I'm buying it's not it's not something to find about please no fear thank God like these don't be offended by saying this because we this is we have friends that are under we really get along with them I got friends of a pissed off about it but we just want to say to you that like just do your thing focus on your content thank let's make it into exactly we don't think this is a two-sided debate obviously we appreciate all your opinions in the comments below but we don't think this is really a two-sided debate this is just our opinion we don't want to offend anyone that's like genuinely not we've not made this video to get in on it and say oh you're wrong we're above it it's not about that because we'd be making this video saying the same thing if we were below it completely completely so if you create it just do the thing get your videos out what can your content be inspired just do it just focus on it don't forget hold the drama forget about the two pound 80 you might make don't worry about that that can come later if you focus on your channel if you build a great great channel you will make money in the future and even if you don't get there by the 20th of February you get never this money the March it will come back into play anyway they're not saying that you're never gonna earn money from YouTube if you don't like that and remember the number one rule don't let you to be about
