I've been seeing this makeup all over and I was like, I want to try it too.
So let's try Billie Houghton's makeup routine.
I'm going to try my best to use everything that she used in the video,
but I don't have everything, so we'll try to match it as much as possible.
Okay, let's start.
She starts with a hydrating primer from Laura Mercier.
I don't have the hydrating one, but I have the protecting one,
so it's going to be similar.
She also uses a brush to apply the primer, which I've never done, to be honest.
Not gonna lie, this feels really nice.
I might start doing this more often, honestly.
Next, she does her eyebrows.
She uses the Benefit brow thing, but I don't have that one,
so I'm going to use my usual brow stuff, which is the Beauty Beauty Below Brow Fix.
It's literally insane, but I'm running out of it.
She says she didn't do anything more than, like, the brow gel.
She has very thin eyebrows too, so I'm gonna pinch them.
I actually do this all the time, so this feels right for me.
I love the thin brow look.
I love it, but I cannot commit, so this is what I do.
She didn't do anything else to her brows, but I'm going to add a little bit to mine.
Otherwise, I feel they're not complete, so I just like to add a little bit at the end here,
because I feel like I'm missing that part.
What's next?
Next up is the Flawless Filter from Charlotte Tilbury.
As you can see, I have it.
She's at foundation with this one, so she applies it everywhere on her face.
I might not suit this shade now, because it's poor, and I'm the palest I've ever been.
Let's just put it on.
I even have the same brush as her, so let's use that.
As you can see, this is a little bit too dark for me right now,
but I have a mini version in this shade too.
Let's just try to fix this real quick.
Yeah, I think this looks a little bit better.
Let's continue.
This is giving glow its maximum.
She goes in with concealer now.
I used to have the one that she uses.
This is the Maybelline one, but I don't have it anymore.
I literally finished it, so I'm going to use my favorite concealer right now,
which is the Fenty Beauty one.
Oh, this stuff, it's incredible.
She uses quite a light shade compared to her face, so I'm going to try and do that.
This is basically where she places everything.
Okay.
She goes in with the same brush.
She also says she doesn't blend her concealer fully.
She lets it kind of half blended, which makes sense.
We're going to put more creams after,
and then we're going to blend everything together again so it's seamless.
So why make it perfect now if, you know, I see her vision.
At this point of the makeup, I literally had to wipe it all off and start again
because it started peeling, and I was so mad.
I didn't give enough time for the primer to set properly.
Particular primer has SPF in it, and I think that might have caused the peeling.
Whatever you're watching after this clip, it's literally new.
Same, we'll continue.
We'll continue.
It's fine.
Okay, let's continue.
Now, bronzer.
She uses one from Fenty Beauty.
I don't have the same one.
It's also a cream bronzer, but I'm going to be using my sticks.
This one's easier to give you a warming up on the back of your face.
So I'm going to grab it from here like this.
I'd say this is quite, like, normal placement.
I don't know why it's making my cheeks so huge.
And draw a line.
This is basically what I would do.
She puts some on the eye, and now she said she puts the bronzer on the top of the nose.
Next is blush.
She still doesn't blend everything just yet.
She uses one from Patrita, which is very similar to this one, but it's not shade.
She uses it all.
I'm using just enough.
This is one of the newest shades.
I don't have the other one.
We just have to deal with it.
She only uses the cream part.
I always surprise myself with this blush.
Absolutely stunning, and it blends out, like, alone.
It's so pretty!
It blends a little bit on the tip of the nose and on the eye as well.
Now is where she starts blending everything together.
It's a great way to avoid, like, any excess of blush or bronzer that you put on.
Just going back in with the foundation brush.
In this case, it wasn't foundation, but you know what I mean.
Just make everything look mixed together and more seamless.
I mean, she definitely did not invent this, but I love how she's using it.
I mean, it makes a lot of sense.
This is looking great.
Now she applies powder.
She uses the Givenchy powder in the rosy ones.
Since I don't have those, I'm gonna use Cherry Blossom from W.
What a beauty powders are.
If you know, you know.
I usually don't reach out for pink powders, but I'm gonna do it for her.
She uses, like, a random Amazon powder puff, which I also have.
She just grabs it like that.
I'm scared, I'm so scared.
Get rid of any pieces.
This is so pink.
Oh my god.
It says she continues doing, like, tapping until it's kind of absorbed.
Oh my god, I love that.
That looks flawless.
Okay, reverse contour, which I often never do.
I'm gonna do the other eye, be right back.
Okay, now she just takes a fluffy brush.
The rest of her face.
Very lovely.
Now she sets all the creams with powder, so I don't have the same bronzer palette,
so I'm just going to use my Too Faced chocolate bronzer.
This is a mini version.
I've had this for years and I'm just, you know, touching time like that everywhere.
Okay, I'm not blocked.
She uses two Kylie Cosmetics blushes and I only have one of both shades.
She first goes in with this one, which I actually have never tried.
Perfect location.
The plastic is stuck.
Ah!
Okay, beautiful curly shade.
Then she uses another shade of the Kylie Cosmetics one and I have it.
So I'm gonna use the powder version of the Patrick Ta that we used earlier.
It actually comes together with that.
I love it.
Oh my god.
Now she does what she always does.
She contours the nasal cavity.
She always says that.
It's just so funny.
But she contours it with purple.
She uses like a mini shadow palette with different brown shades so it looks more natural.
I feel like this is where it's gonna start going downhill.
I'm not sure if I like this.
I feel like it's very false.
Like the way- like freckles don't just contour your nose, right?
I'm gonna wait.
I'm gonna wait until everything's blended.
I'm going to give myself another few freckles to make it more natural.
Here I have a pimple.
So I'm just going to make it a lot more visible.
Just like that.
And here as well.
That's something that I do usually because I usually have a lot of pimples.
Wait.
Now she goes in with the powder puff and with nothing else extra.
Just like the remaining product that is in there.
She goes over everything and kind of blend that in.
Wait, wait.
I'll talk to you soon.
I think- I think I like it.
Yeah, I think it looks good.
Okay, Lia.
Okay.
Now she goes in with setting spray.
She loves the Hourglass one and the Charlotte Tilbury one.
I don't have any of those.
And this is my favorite one.
Urban Decay All Nighter with Vitamin C.
I like this one better than the normal one because it's- because it's more hydrating.
The one thing I hate about setting sprays is that it gets all over you.
Like all over your clothes, all over your hair, all over everywhere.
Like-
I hate it.
Letting that dry.
Okay, this is the last step for her base makeup.
Highlighter, but-
My hair is scrunchy.
This is the most similar one that I've found.
This is the Rare Beauty Nude Smudge.
This is quite a fluffy brush again.
I feel like she only uses fluffy brushes.
I'm gonna use this one.
It's either horrible or stunning.
You decide.
Well, but it's-
Oh my god, what the-
She now uses another one for the nose and the inner corners and stuff.
She actually uses one of the Rare Beauty ones, but I'm going to use the same one.
This makeup is looking beautiful.
But the fact that this is like her everyday, gonna get out the house makeup-
Whoa.
Not because I'm saying it's a lot.
I mean, it is a lot.
Definitely not saying you shouldn't be wearing that much makeup every day.
No, that's not my point.
My point is like, do you have the energy to do this like every single day with these many steps?
Because I wished.
Now she goes with the eyes.
I feel like she doesn't do this step, but I'm gonna cover my lashes.
Because she has insanely beautiful long lashes and I have like teeny tiny lashes.
Okay.
And now she does her eyeliner in brown.
I had to do my other eye off camera because I was getting so stressed.
I mean, I love this eyeliner because like the tip, it's so fine.
It's one of the finest.
I'm trying to sound so wicked.
I love it, but I hate it at the same time.
To mascara.
I do have what she uses.
She uses the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara.
This one.
And she applies the mascara this way.
She pushes the lashes to the side diagonally.
I do think this mascara is great.
If you want to elongate your lashes.
But I do think the main reason of her lashes looking great, it's her own lashes.
Like she has the longest lashes I've ever seen and that's a fact.
I mean, yeah, it is good.
It is good.
It's her lashes.
I'm so sorry, but it's her lashes.
I do love it though.
Okay, she doesn't apply any mascara on her lower lashes.
So let's go straight in with the last step, which is the lip combo.
It's actually just one lip liner.
I've got the same one that she uses, which is the Kylie Cosmetics
Lip Liner in shade Kylie.
I love it.
I love it so much.
So I'm very happy that she is.
She overlines a little bit and then she blends it out and that's it.
She overlines only the center and then she follows like natural shape.
You know, blends that in.
Not like that.
I don't know.
Kind of blends everything a little bit.
Okay, and that's it.
What do you think?
How did I do it?
How does it look?
Would you do it?
Let me know.
I honestly think this looks bomb.
I might have to start doing this more often.
Not for the everyday.
Like I couldn't do this every single day, but girl.
This looks insane.
I just feel like the lip liner, the way that I overlined my lips this time, that made it
such a difference.
Overall, this makeup looks insane.
