What's up, my name is Miko, this is my driver Matt,
the internet hometown hero, and the deluxe that actually drops tonight when we're recording this.
I don't know when this is coming out though, but it'll be out, it'll be out.
Let's take a look inside of this, is it a Chrysler?
Chrysler Pacifica!
Sorry, I'm not the one driving, so...
So how this looks driving is exactly what you see right now, because Miko here doesn't drive.
I don't have my license.
So I'm the only one that does the driving, so I am always in the passenger...
not in the passenger seat, sorry, in the driver's seat,
and I have my resident passenger princess beside me at all times.
He doesn't let me have aux duty though.
Well, he falls asleep most of the time, so I put on what I want to listen to,
and then sometimes he wakes up, then I'll play his music just to annoy him.
Nightly, Nightly's new album, so I have to drive to it.
It's such a good record.
And today we're playing through 1975, the live album that came out a couple months ago.
A deeper cut Tennyson, if anyone knows Tennyson watching, I love Tennyson.
Van Camino.
It's longer drives, and half of them usually are me by myself with this guy that takes a nap.
Just to make sure there's always something on that I'm enjoying.
We were just talking with Nightly, they told us that they cleaned up their van, they decorated it.
We did not do anything of the sort.
We kept it messy and real.
Most of it's drinks.
There's actually a Cool Ranch, a bag of chips.
Oh my god, I haven't opened this one yet.
That's disgusting.
Honestly, most of this we could clean up.
We could.
There's a lot of empty bottles in here, but it's just the last thing.
Do you want to time-lapse us cleaning?
How old is this bag of Cool Ranch?
Way too old.
It has smelled like Cool Ranch for the last three days.
And it's been a hot couple of days, so when that sits in the car, it's not too nice.
I honestly don't know why it's still here, but I'm going to put it back.
I feel like I should.
The liquid death.
If you were a general, my favorite thing is liquid death sparkling water.
I love liquid death to death.
I hate sparkling water.
I'm a sparkling water avid hater.
There was this one time where I was at Matt's house.
We were trying to run a session.
This was the first time that I had ever had sparkling water.
He has one of the machines at his house.
He poured me a glass and gave it to me.
I was like, I don't really like this.
And 30 minutes later, I had the worst migraine of my life for the following 17 hours.
Probably not related at all, but I'm going to relate it.
You haven't had sparkling water since.
Liquid death across the board.
Us and our whole team, we all love it.
These are actually all the still water ones.
I just like how it comes out of a can.
I don't know why.
We're turning this into a liquid death ad.
We do love liquid death.
It's usually just our luggage.
This run, it's just the two of us, so there isn't much going on in the rest of the van.
We usually have this stacked with gear.
We push one of the seats down to make room for everything else.
It's just a bunch of stuff that we've collected over time.
This bag of M&Ms, for some reason, every single startup tour,
we always get the biggest bag of M&Ms on our rider.
It's always the zipper one.
We end up getting smaller ones every single time
and just refilling the same bag over and over again.
It just could be us.
We'll collect all the M&Ms as we go through.
It gets really confusing when you start mixing regular M&Ms with mini M&Ms.
That's not a very pleasant sensory experience for me.
I might be the only one that's bothered by it.
Other than that, what usually lives here is our luggage, sweaters, and the M&Ms.
That's a special place.
My guitar sometimes.
Our jackets whenever we don't want to wear them.
Because this car, is this going to get me off a Chrysler ad?
This car doesn't get cold.
So it hasn't been that fun of a couple days in the afternoon, driving at noon, 1 o'clock.
Because the air conditioning doesn't feel like it does anything in this car.
You feel the air, you feel it's cold, but you yourself never get cold.
It'll make us appreciate the upgrade that we get next.
When we hopefully have air conditioning in the next vehicle.
Hopefully.
I remember one time we thought we were going to and it just did not pan out that way at all.
This is the back.
Usually we put our rig, all our gear on top and his guitar.
This, to be very clear, is his manager's.
This is not our bag.
We've been trying to get a black bag to come with us.
Because this is usually what we carry merch in.
Because we don't know how to carry merch any better.
But yeah, we've just been using whatever leftover bags my manager is willing to give us.
This one's like...
Yeah, it's garbage for sure.
We've broken off both zippers and somehow found a way to finagle it open.
But they're here because merch is sold out.
So we don't need it right now because they're empty.
So that's why they're sticking in here.
Oh, your luggage is here actually.
Yeah, my luggage got made into the back today.
But usually it's in the middle.
We honestly are going through...
We haven't done a lot of tours with other people.
We've had a lot of experience when it comes to headlining and nothing else.
So we've just been raw-dogging the entire experience.
And this tour and a couple other opening slots that we've had...
Are kind of our first exposures to how to actually properly operate.
So funny enough, this is the first time that we purchased lights for our merch.
This seems like something that should be so obvious to us.
Like putting lights on the merch that you're displaying.
But it's just something that we never thought of.
We love you guys for buying it anyways though.
For all the people that come to Miko shows.
You guys kill it.
You guys kill it even though you can't see what you buy.
But yeah, that's basically it.
It's a pretty bare-bones setup.
This is our little van so far.
Not much going on right now, but hopefully there's more eventually.
This run has been fun so far.
Hearing you guys sing along to all the songs in it at Hometown Hero.
It's been a blast.
I can't wait for more shows.
If you want to come up to one.
You can probably find one over on my Instagram, Miko Toronto.
Or on my website, mikotoronto.com slash tour.
That's where you'll find the dates.
I know I have a lot of headliners coming up at the end of this year.
But besides that, I'm sure we'll be on the road whenever you're going to look for it.
Keep an eye out.
Thanks.
