Come along with us on our latest adventure, this time, we kept it close to home!
We kicked off our weekend on Friday evening at our go-to overnight spot: a lovely common where we could park up, surrounded by gorgeous Highland cows. Pure bliss! We were meant to be at CamperJam, but, well, someone misplaced the tickets! 🫣

So these are the dedicated motorhome spaces when you come to Atwells. I mean that's definitely not
a motorhome, don't you? Which one of us doesn't know how to change a tyre?
It's fantastic, I just can't believe someone's managed to make that.
She's awake, she can do the washing up. Who is she? Who is she?
Welcome back to another video. We are currently not in Camper Jam where we're supposed to be.
We are on the Minch-Hapton Common this week, well tonight. Which is very close to home because
one of us lost or binned the Camper Jam tickets and it meant that we weren't able to go.
Which I'm gutted about because we've bought the tickets, we've got proof of purchase.
I contacted them to say the tickets that they'd sent with the wristbands and the vehicle pass
had arrived but I've misplaced them, is there anything we could do?
And they said yeah buy the tickets again. For some stupid reason they send you the wristbands
and then I guess they just let you in when you get there. But instead of like a QR code like
every single other festival has and then obviously you pay for your ticket, scan the QR code, get let
in, they already give you the wristband so you just go in. So if you lose them I guess they can
just say you've given them to someone else or something which is a bit of a pain in the arse.
And I get that they're trying to save time but it's really annoying if you're not the most
organised. But surely there's got to be somebody on the gate looking at the wristbands anyway to
let you in. So can't they just be on the gate scanning your tickets, giving you a wristband
I don't know, it's a bit backwards if you ask me. So we've come to the Common because one it's very
close to home, two it is one of our favourite spots and we haven't been here for ages
and we just thought that we would come over here have some dinner and actually
what's this? And a beer, cider. Trying out a new drink. Yeah cloudy lemon patches. I do like
cloudy lemonade but I'm not sure about the cloudy lemonade patches. I reckon it'll be good. Does it taste cloudy lemonadey? I don't know but I like that.
Oh that's actually quite nice. I think tonight we're just gonna have some food.
I've, what have we got for food actually? I've got some chicken in the oven and then I think we're
just gonna have a little salad and that's about it really. A couple of ciders. Cutler tinnies.
And Molly and Fran are gonna come over in a bit as well, Harry's mum and Harry's sister.
Plan for this weekend? We're gonna go into the Forest of Dean. Forest of Dean which isn't too far
from here actually, it's only about half an hour away, three quarters of an hour away. I've just
realised we filmed our first video here as well. We did yeah. Our van tour was filmed right there.
Now look at us. Ah we really want to get to 5k by our one year anniversary and that is coming up
very soon in the next two or three weeks, 16th of July. So if you're watching, please hit subscribe,
it's free. I don't know what it does but apparently it helps and we really want to get to 5k in the
next few, in the next three weeks. And a comment, do you think Camper Jam are a bit harsh not letting
us in or is that standard procedure? Because I think it's a bit mean. So last week was a pretty
bad week for me. Not only did I lose the Camper Jam festival tickets, I also put our DJI mics
through the wash, which thankfully, touch wood, they're all right. And then to top it all off,
I got stung by a hornet. Like a big hornet. I thought that I handled it really well and
after about 10 minutes I said to Harry, are you proud of me of how brave I was then?
Thinking in my head, I just saw the whole hornet, got stung, took my sock off, walked away.
Apparently what actually happened was I ripped my sock off, which then contained the hornet.
I launched the sock and the hornet at Harry. I then started having a complete full on panic attack
and a mental breakdown. I was running half way up the stairs, turning around and running back down.
I wasn't breathing, thinking I might be allergic and yeah, just had a fit really. But the good
news, I'm not allergic to wasp stings or hornet stings. So we're going to put last week in the
bin and start fresh. For dinner we have, which one's which? You've got Greek style
pearl at home salad and I got a super green, super green? Super green. It's a super green salad.
I'm super green. Wow. Chicken in the oven. Chicken. Are you putting it straight in there?
No, I put it on a plate. Please. Is it cooked? Take a bite, see if it's cooked.
Oh, look at that. For you? Or for me? I've got cheese for some reason. Have you got any cheese?
I've got brie. Brie, I don't like it. Brie. Oh, look at this as well. Cut myself at work.
What a beast that is. And where it was hot, it like sealed it. So it didn't even bleed,
did it? And yet it's so deep. No, basically I'm a kitchen and bathroom toilet and I was
cutting a small tile and I dropped it, tried to catch it. And then in my other hand, I had
the grinder and just ran the grinder into my hand. So not my best idea, but we've got friends.
Hello. Look how cute she is. Obviously not my sister.
Nine. So what's this called, Barry? This is shut the bloody box, it's called. How do you play it?
Uh, roll the dice. So you've got all these numbers along here. Whatever you roll on the dice,
you've got to flick down. So if you get a nine, you can put the nine down or you can put a five
down and you've got to try and knock them all down. How's your tea, Mel? Coffee-ish.
Every time Mel comes around, I offer a cup of tea and I either haven't got tea bags, milk,
sugar. I've never had that combination. And that's all I drink. That's all I ever want.
And they can't even provide me that. So I've got a coffee, which I don't drink, with oat milk.
So this time I didn't have tea bags or milk, so it's sugary water or coffee.
And the thing is, I actually text mum and said, are you coming up for a cup of tea?
I'm sorry, mum.
Ah, that was lush. So Molly and Fran came over for a cup of drinks and now I think we're going
to bed. What? You come out pulling a funny face, so I just blew my nose.
I got told off for having a snotty nose. He breathes out before he breathes in.
You've got to brew them up, ain't you? Get them all brewed up and get them in there.
No one does that. No one. All right, we will see you in the morning. See you in the morning.
Look at the little baby. Little baby mullet. Oh, beautiful.
Good morning, guys. I've been up a while, just chilling this morning. Have a little
nice, easy morning. I'm just going to have a bacon and brie roll. Good morning.
I'm making a bit of a plan. We're going to go to Atwell's and get some new chairs.
We don't need a table, do we? And maybe a new rug for outside, because ours is
absolutely knackered. We'll head there in a bit. The only bad thing about not building a van and
buying one is you don't really know how to fix it. Under here, let me grab my torch.
We've got a bit of a leak just under there. I don't know if you can see it.
Here. I don't really know how to fix it. I've rang my dad. Well, messaged my dad,
because he builds vans, and we'll see what he says. But yeah, I don't really know how to fix it.
The brie isn't as soft as I hoped as well, which I'm fuming about. It keeps happening, doesn't it?
Yeah. Also, we've got paper plates. We don't have to do any washing up.
Apart from that over there. Bone apple teeth. Also, it's boom town in like four weeks.
Come on. Three weeks. Four weeks. Three eighths. He's shouting at you.
Show us what you got then, kid. Watch this. I need a timer. Oh, wait. Oh, wait.
I'm so amazed. Literally four pounds, and it just clips in. I need more hair, but...
And then for breakfast, I've got kiwi, orange, and an iced tea, which is actually amazing,
because I've left my holy at home, so I've had to buy iced tea. So last week when we were with
Gallywhip, James has got a 3D printer, and look what they made. I think we forgot to show it.
Did we forget to show it? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, I think we did.
And they also made something else, which I don't think we can show on the channel.
Right, we are off to the camping shop. It's very windy out there. Good job we're not at a festival,
When we got here, there were Highland cows roaming around. Highland cattle.
Care. Yeah, they were just here. It's so pretty though.
Just make sure when you come to beautiful places like this, you leave nothing but footprints,
because we ruin it for each other, and this place is beautiful, and I would hate
for them to stop people coming here and wild camping. There was loads of signs up when we
got here yesterday, and we thought oh god they've stopped everyone from parking here, but
it just says no parking behind the barrier, as there's birds or something or wildlife and stuff
in the grass, and then it says no fires. But you can choose because there's gravel spots,
grass spots, and there's so many that you can just have your own little section as well.
But yeah, just make sure if you come here, you don't leave any litter.
So we just made it, we need electric pump for the bed, for the bed, some chairs because ours broke.
Ours are a little bit worse to wear. There's some bits for the tent, because we think we're
gonna do a night away without the van, driving the car, and then just stay in the tent. So we need
some cooking. Yeah, let us know if you'd watch that, it'll be a little bit different, it'll just
be us on a campsite in a tent. So these are the dedicated motorhome spaces when you come to
Atwells. I mean that's definitely not a motorhome.
She's on fire today. Just watch me do that.
Is that for the barbecue? Yeah, the fire pit.
Cleaning the top, that'd be good. You're welcome. I do want some of these, but I reckon I can get them
on Amazon for a lot cheaper. That's what Ads has got in his new one. But these aren't multi-coloured.
There's the pumps there, look. That's more like it. 12 volt El Nino pump.
We need a new rug, because ours keeps tripping people up. It's not a very nice rug. So this is a
pretty cool idea. It's an inflatable trailer. You basically inflate it from one place, a single
point inflation, I guess that's what it means. And then you've got a little side room there.
A little seating area, double bed at the back, and then another double bed there. And it all just
inflates and sets itself up. £25,000 mind, but you get all of that. It is a really cool idea though,
all in one. Baby blue or green? Well someone spilt loads of wine in our van last night and
used our tea towel to clean it up, so now we haven't got a tea towel. Yes we have. So I was
looking at a little tactile. We've already got one for dry-in, so I think we'll get one of these.
Right, I feel like we should leave now because I'm running out of arms. You done? Yeah, you?
I still can't find a rug though. Yeah, the only thing we haven't got is a rug and some chairs.
Oh, it's starting to rain. So this one over here? Yeah, the one that says oil on it.
Yeah, 710. Yeah, get it in the oil then you sausage. This is the only
pink job she's got for the van. Are you serious? She thinks she's a mechanic.
Which one of us works for Mercedes-Benz? Which one of us doesn't know how to change a tyre?
Is it even a road trip without snacks? Ask stupid questions.
Is it even a road trip if you're not stuck in traffic? Call it a road trip,
we're going an hour from home. Half an hour. Anyone else eat Pringles like this?
No one. Because you've got the flavour on your tongue, you've bitten one bite.
So we have come to the sculpture trail in the Forest of Dean, but a bit of a hack,
if you're going to come here, there's a car park less than two minutes away called Speech House
Woods and you can park here for free and then you're literally on the back of the sculpture trail.
Not sure how long this walk is, but there's loads of sculptures dotted along the trail.
I think we've done it before, I can't remember. We've decided to pop in and get a quick cup of tea
and then start the walk. Cup of tea. Lovely. The food looks really good. Yeah. Cheese toasties
and chips, but I didn't get anything. Nice. We just stopped, had a cup of tea at the little cafe
and now we're going to start the sculpture trail. I think it takes about an hour and a bit.
What was that? Dinosaur. It's been guzzling for about five minutes. You done? I think it
automatically refills from that. I don't know how long the walk is, there is a big sign up there,
we'll have a look. Oh yeah. So we are here. We can do, oh it looks like there's
a long route and a short route. Sculpture trail is 4.8 miles. Or alternative.
A. No, let's just pretend that we're doing the whole thing and then we'll just do the little one.
Yeah, but I want to do the whole thing. No, yeah, yeah. We'll do the whole thing, yeah.
Yeah. We all know we've walked more than 7.7k today. We'll do the long one.
No, I actually want to do the long one. Right, let's go. Normally we dither,
unless we dather. It says I've got to keep you under control at all times.
Am I a feral wild boar? No, you're a dog. What the hell is that?
I thought it was a heart-shaped stone. Any facts? Yeah, it's a stone. It looks stony.
Do you reckon it's fallen out of the middle? Is that what it's supposed to look like?
So is this art? Is this a sculpture? Yeah. How? What makes it a sculpture?
Because somebody sculpted it into that shape. Yeah, but that's just putting some...
I reckon we could build something like this, you know? That's what I mean.
On to the next one. It's fantastic. I just can't believe someone's managed to make that.
What's your favourite fact about it? I don't know. Maybe it's flame retardant paint.
Flame retardant. You're a flame retardant.
If you carve our initials into it like everyone else does.
On to the next one. Flame retardant. Which way, Ash?
Shortcut A is that way. Is it shortcut A? No, let's go this way.
Okay, let's go that way and do the long one. Are we there yet? The 7.8k is taking a long time.
7.8k later, we're back at the van. No, we did do the shortcut because we're both knackered today.
But I'm still done. No, we did it. We did it twice. 9.9 thousand steps, so I'm almost at 10k.
So we walked quite far. You go do another loop, I'll get the kettle on.
Yeah, but I might go down until there's like a glass sculpture that's suspended in the air. I
might go and see that after. I think I'm sweating. I've got sweat patches. Oh, that stinks.
How are you doing, baby? He's knackered, so I actually think he's asleep. I'm going to make
some lunch. I'm making halloumi, peppers, onion, couscous because I haven't really got anything
else. Well, it's twenty past four. It's close to dinner time. So Lauren's taking a little nap
after she's eaten her dinner, couscous or whatever. So I started making my dinner. I've got
new potatoes with garlic butter and parsley and bits and bobs on. I've got parsley, something or
other, garlic butter, chicken Kiev and then some veg, some broccoli and peas and stuff.
So I'm going to munch on this. Also, there's chicken out there. I am absolutely stuffed after
that. Oh, she's awake anyway, so she can do the washing up now she's awake and then we'll
awake. She can do the washing up. Who is she? Who is she? I won't be doing any of that.
I did the washing up earlier. In fact, I washed up all your stuff earlier. Come on, fair game.
In fact, the pan's actually yours. So, yeah, I think we're just going to try and find
somewhere to park and then we'll head there. Did you want to go to Tesco to get some milk and
tea bags? Yeah, because I can't make a cup of tea. I've only drank my last tea. The sun's out now
though. It's bloody lovely weather. Car park's nearly empty. Hey, yep, do you reckon we'll stay
in there? They've got a tent box. I doubt it because there's a big sign over there that says
no overnight stays. He's stopped. Every time I get out to get a driving shot,
he drives off without me. Oh my God, if he pulls away, I swear to God.
I'll get a good shot, Snoopy. We've just parked up in a little car park just outside of Cinderford.
We sat here for a little bit and I'm bloody knackered, so I think we're just going to...
I'm still stuffed from earlier. I've eaten loads earlier. I can't eat anymore, so I'm not going to
have dinner tonight. So I think we're just going to get the kettle on, have a cup of tea and probably
chill out tonight. Yeah, I think we're going to call it here. It's been a lush, unplanned,
no, unexpected weekend because obviously we weren't supposed to be here. It was supposed
to be a festival but... Oh really? Why aren't we at the festival? Well, Harry still hasn't
forgiven me. He's mentioned it about eight or nine times today and I can't say sorry enough.
It's not my fault anyway, it's Camper Jam's. Yeah, so we apologise to all the Banksy, Taylor
and Mark that we're not there. Some idiot forgot the tickets or lost the tickets, so... Anyway.
On that positive note, we'll see you next week. We'll see you next week. What are we doing next
week? My parents have bought a motorhome. Oh yeah. So we are going to go to a campsite somewhere
with them and... I don't know where yet. No, and the kids maybe, the niece and nephew. But yeah,
it'll be a good one because their van is twice the size of ours, so we'll all end up in there
having drinks. Yeah, see you next week. See you next week.
