Kai Trump, the president's oldest granddaughter, discusses the NIL partnership, her decision to attend the University of Miami, the impact Donald Trump has had on her life and more.
She is the granddaughter of the most powerful man in the world and the highest valued girls
high school golfer.
And now Kai Trump has an exciting announcement.
My fellow Americans and content creators, after months of reflection, I made a decision.
I'll be running, no setting, into a new role, one with great responsibilities and 100% natural
caffeine.
I partner with Accelerator, no sugar, no crash.
President Trump's oldest grandchild, Kai Trump, joins us now.
Hey Kai.
Hi, how are you?
Hi, doing well.
Great to see you.
Tell me about this partnership, why you decided to do it.
Well, I love energy drinks.
My whole life, well, for the past few years, I've loved energy drinks.
And I actually ordered them on Amazon not too long ago.
And I loved all the flavors.
I loved everything about them.
And it was just a organic partnership.
And I love the company, working with it and the people as well.
And it just ended up being amazing for us.
That's great.
I mean, you're called the highest valued high school golfer.
All this hard work that you have put in over the years as a child, learning to perfect
this game.
Congratulations to you.
I know you've partnered also with TaylorMade.
What is your advice to other young women who are dedicated to a sport?
Just keep on chasing your dreams.
Keep on working hard.
With athletes, it gets tough sometimes.
You don't play well, get injuries, whatever.
But just keep on fighting through those and just keep on working hard.
Did you ever want to quit and say, this is too much pressure?
I don't want to do this anymore?
And if so, how did you get through that hump?
I mean, yes, in some ways, sometimes I do want to put down the clubs.
But I mean, I just know I had the talent.
And I've worked so hard to get to the spot I'm at.
I don't want to give up now.
Also, my parents raised me never to give up.
So it's very hard for me to put down the clubs and give up.
But I would just say, keep on working through it.
Tough times happen.
Anything you do, really, it's going to get tough sometimes.
But just keep on working at it.
Fight through it.
Your last name, Trumps, can't quit.
They never quit.
Tell me about playing with your grandfather.
How much of an influence did he have on your life?
He had a really big influence on my life.
And playing golf with him, honestly, he just
taught me to just keep on working at it.
I mean, honestly, I've gotten a lot better the past few years with golf.
He really just taught me to keep on fighting
and just keep on practicing and whatnot.
And I've loved playing golf with him my whole life.
And it's something that we share a special bond together.
So yeah.
Some of your posts are hilarious.
You have memes of your grandfather and other world leaders.
They're really funny.
You also have some serious posts and a lot of family pictures
and golf pictures.
Tell me about that influence on your life,
because you have, what, more than 6 million followers
across social media platforms.
I mean, it's a lot to handle sometimes, you know,
with the public eye and whatnot, especially also
being a high school student and just like a normal kid.
But honestly, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
And I'm very lucky and grateful for the opportunity
I have to meet all these people and collab with them,
as well as just meet world leaders.
So, I mean, I'm just very thankful
and just lucky to have this opportunity.
Yeah. I mean, Kai, it's so impressive.
You, I think you signed with Miami, what, last year,
when it was your, during your junior year.
You still have another year of high school.
So you committed at the beginning of your junior year.
What made you decide on Miami?
And what's your advice for other high schoolers
who have to make a choice early on?
Well, so yeah, I decided, well, I went on my visit
August 5th, last year, before my junior year.
And when I went there, I mean, I visited a lot of colleges
over the summer with my mom, but when I went there,
I was like, all right, this is the one,
like this is the place I want to be.
And after, at the end of the day, once I went there,
I had like a feeling inside.
So I knew it was like the place for me.
But I would say for all those athletes
that are visiting schools, talking to colleges,
just, you know, see what, where you want to like develop
to be the best player.
And I think it's important to also like the coach.
Janice and Tim, I think, are going to develop me
into be like the best player,
but as well as the best person I possibly can be.
So both of those, and I think that was really important
for me and my decision at Miami.
So I would say for those kids who are going
and checking out colleges, just see where you want to be
and see which people you want to surround yourself around.
And I think the team and the coaches,
I want to surround myself around.
Yeah, how are you feeling?
I mean, you have one more year of high school.
You've been with these friends for a while now
after moving down to Jupiter and are in the Palm Beach area.
Now you're going to Miami.
You've already committed.
What are all your friends saying
and how are you feeling going into your senior year?
I mean, I'm looking forward to going to my senior year.
I kind of, since I committed early,
I kind of feel like I'm supposed to go right now to Miami,
but on my seminal year.
But I'm looking forward to spending my last year
with my friends and honestly just enjoying senior year
because I felt like junior was very busy
and with everything going on.
So I'm really looking forward to spending my senior year
with my friends and just being a normal high school student.
Yeah, in some ways you can have senioritis
because you're already committed.
You already know where you're going,
where a lot of your friends don't know yet, right?
But yet you can't because you're endorsing this brand
and other brands and you also play golf.
So just as a tail end question,
tell us what you love most about Accelerator.
Why other students your age or all of us should drink this?
Yeah, so well, Accelerator, I love most about it.
It's just the different flavor options
and as well as there's no sugar.
And I don't eat a lot of sugar at all
just because I kind of get like a little jittery
and then I crash and with Accelerator,
there's no sugar so I don't crash at all.
So that's what I love about it.
And I don't really get like that feeling
with energy drinks where you drink it
and then like two hours later,
you just feel like you're about to fall asleep.
Like I don't get that with Accelerator.
So that's why I felt like it was a great partnership.
I love that, no sugar.
I'll have to try it.
Thank you so much, Kai.
No problem, thank you.
Great to see you, wish you all the best.
Thank you very much.
