today today so I wasn't okay then do
again today like I said safer today
today I don't we did good away we've
been asked quite a lot recently how we
do our videos that I'll set up the light
for use the cameras we use and things
like that so we thought we'd do a little
video today explaining how to do YouTube
this is the youtuber starter pack but
it's not just about the technical
equipment is er no it's about the camera
angles and the specific shots the music
the pauses the techniques that we have
nailed yeah we have at all is that what
a No yeah the most important thing you
need if you want to start YouTube if you
want to start making videos obviously
it's a camera we use a Nikon d5 100 it's
a DSLR camera for these remaining videos
we also have a vlogging camera hi
it's filming over there you can see all
this up there which swiftly brings us on
to the lights which you just saw in that
last clip we have two big lights one
here for me one here for Lucy at our
right angle for our faces shine bright
white light onto our faces we use these
ones because if you firstly we like to
film sort of off to earthly things
generally it's obviously open occur and
it's not gonna be very bright house life
things always a bit yellowy
for this one create some more natural
light you can use normal life if you can
cover to get up early enough to do video
in the morning which we don't have time
for in a week then natural light works
just as well as this I think there's net
and I've always started off doing it but
obviously these are a bonus to film in
the evening the classic YouTube music is
something like this
and they seem to always involve a
ukulele not a lot a lot see
they always think to involve a ukulele
can you stick guitar yeah
it's always a happy jingle type thing I
don't know what I think this makes it
easy to watch it's quite friendly so
yeah so if you don't like a proper
youtuber video get some music like this
whack it behind your video and you're
halfway there
another important convention of a
youtube video and what you must include
if you want to be a proper youtuber is
the awkward pause and it's always got to
be a break in the music at this point so
the media playing haha someone's that's
weird and then you carry on as
normal
see just like very well you're fine
we're gonna make all our secrets here
but it's nothing you go and watch your
favorite youtubers they do this
technique we started to them you can
steal from us fine the next thing you
need is ideas now this shouldn't be too
hard if you know you want to start a
YouTube channel
you've probably got an idea already of
what you want to do it by our videos are
like so hard to explain we do so many
different rounds we do challenges
obviously we do stuff about
relationships we do stuff that should
appeal to you because you're watching
these and also appeal to us we talk
about what we know basically we don't
try and claim with experts on any other
weird topic other than that we just do
what you want to do intimacy know what's
the best freeze frame I can't even think
of a phrase for it it's basically when
someone says something that's a bit of a
risk scale and then you do a zoom in to
them to show how else it is I mean go
back to normal you had also stop the
music at this point if it's what we do
most of that all this stuff we've just
been talking about is obviously done in
the Edit now you don't need expensive
editing software we use iMovie which is
free on Macs and if you don't know how
to use editing software yet there are so
many great tutorials on youtube to learn
everything everything is on here you can
just search how to use iMovie how to use
Windows Movie Maker whatever you've got
yeah how to make thumbnails thumbnails
that is the next important thing I watch
videos by looking at thumbnail yeah
mainly and the title yeah a website
called picmonkey.com going it it's free
it's like a free version of Photoshop
you have some ads down the side but it
doesn't matter it's very easy to use
very quick very slick and user intuitive
user intuitive promotion self-promotion
is key social media get to it took out
Gary as well tweet loads of people
follow loads of people get Facebook page
get yourself out there so as you have
learned in this video you don't need
money you don't need expensive equipment
or anything like that to be able to
produce videos it's all free it's all
free you need a camera you need light
tripod iPhone 6 comes up but if you
can't afford a camera use your iPhone so
hope you guys enjoyed this video we are
in no way qualified to tell you how to
make youtube videos we just thought we
quite funny to highlight some of the
things that people do on YouTube and
lastly how to end all videos you need to
ask for a thumbs up so if you did enjoy
this video please leave a thumbs up
comment below we will see you guys in
our next video see you later guys
