Before we pray, let's take a moment to reflect on God's Word, and then we'll come together in prayer.
There've been times I've felt so far away, like I was drifting and I couldn't find my way back to peace.
Maybe you've felt that too, where loneliness or chaos pulls you from what matters most.
But I've learnt that Jesus is always near, ready to hold us close.
Psalm 91.4 says,
Every space I feel, where I'm distant, where I'm hurting, where I'm wandering alone.
But you, Jesus, are greater than all of it.
You are the one who sought the lost sheep, who drew the children close, who stretched out your arms on the cross for me.
And I know that if you can do all that, you can hold me close today, right here, right now.
Thank you, Lord, for your tender love.
Thank you for the cross, where you bridged every gap to bring me near.
I lift my voice to praise you, because even when I drift, you are worthy of every word of adoration.
You are the Good Shepherd, the Everlasting Father, and your arms never let go.
When I think of how you've held me through lonely nights, through stormy days, through times I felt untethered, I can't help but say thank you.
You've been my shelter, Lord, and I know you always will be.
But I confess, Jesus, that I don't always stay close.
Sometimes I pull away. I let my worries distance me, or I let my shame push me from your embrace.
I've roamed, Lord, seeking comfort elsewhere, only to find it's empty without you.
Forgive me for that. Forgive me for the times I've run from your love, for the moments I've forgotten your nearness.
Today I come back. I lay every fear, every ache, every wandering step before you.
And I ask you to hold me close with your love, a love that covers me like wings and calms me like home.
Lord, I need your closeness today. I need it for the deep gaps, the loneliness that stings, the grief that isolates.
And I need it for the quiet drifts too, the days when I just feel far from you.
Your word says in Deuteronomy 31.6, He will never leave you nor forsake you.
I rest in that now, Jesus. Draw me near when I stray. Hold me tight when I shake.
Help me to feel your arms around me, because you are my refuge.
I remember a time when I felt so alone. Maybe some of you watching can relate.
When a season of change left me unmoored, like I didn't belong anywhere.
For me it was moving far from family, and the silence was loud.
I'd pray Lord, hold me, but I'd still feel the space.
Then one night, I pictured you arms open, like a father, and I felt it, Jesus.
Your love wrapped me up, a closeness that warmed me.
And I know you'll do that now, for me and for everyone listening.
Your word in Psalm 34.18 says, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
Be close to me today, Lord, and not just for me, Jesus.
I lift up every soul watching this video.
You know their far places, their aching hearts, their quiet cries.
Some are distant from loss, others from rejection.
Some feel alone in crowds, and others long for you, but don't know how to reach.
Hold them, Lord. Pull them into your embrace.
Let them feel your love like a blanket, a shield, a hug that never ends.
Lord, I ask for peace too, because your closeness brings peace.
Your word in John 16.33 says, In me you may have peace.
Give me that peace, Jesus.
When I feel far, let your nearness calm me.
And as I pray for peace, I pray for comfort for the one who's hurting, who's cold inside.
Psalm 23.4 says, You're with us in the valley.
Comfort us, Lord, for the heart that's broken, the mind that's restless, the soul that's lost.
I pray for strength too, for the one who's weak, who's slipping away.
Isaiah 41.10 says, You uphold us. Hold us up, Jesus.
I love how your word keeps drawing us, Lord.
In Matthew 11.28, you say, Come to me, all you who are weary, and I will give you rest.
I come now, for me, for everyone watching. Hold us in your rest.
And here's a story, Lord, because you love when we tell of your love.
There was a time I felt cut off, after a fight that left me isolated.
I'd pray, Jesus, be near, but I'd still feel the chill.
Then one day, I read Zephaniah 3.17. He will quiet you with his love.
I let you quiet me, Lord, and your closeness melted the distance.
I know someone needs that now.
Whatever pulls you away, Jesus holds you close.
He's alive, he's here, and his love surrounds.
So I keep praying, Lord, because your nearness is endless.
I pray for healing, for the wounds that distance, the scars that push.
Psalm 147.3 says, You heal the brokenhearted.
Heal us, Jesus. I pray for hope, for the one who's hopeless, who's far from light.
Romans 15.13 says, You fill with hope. Fill us, Lord.
I pray for joy, too, for the one who's joyless, who's lost the warmth.
Psalm 16.11 says, Your presence is joy. Bring that joy, Jesus.
I could pray all day, Lord, because your love never fades.
I think of times you've held me, a prayer that felt like arms,
a kindness that drew me in, a moment of peace that was you.
You're in it all, Jesus.
So I pray for hearts to feel it, for myself, for everyone.
Open our hearts to your closeness in the far, the frail, the fallen.
Help us rest in you, like the child on your knee, like the sparrow under wings, like John at your chest.
Your love is our refuge, our rest, our home.
And as I pray, I think of your grace, how it holds every drift.
Romans 8.38.39 says, Nothing separates us from your love.
Let us feel that grace today, Lord. Let it hold us, warm us, remind us we're yours.
You died to draw us close, and that's why we can rest.
So I pray for trust to stay in your arms, to live in your love, to share your nearness.
Make us bearers of your embrace, Jesus, even when we're far, because your love pulls us in.
Lord, I'll keep going, because praying together is mighty.
I pray for families watching, for rifts that distance, for hearts that drift.
Hold those homes, Jesus.
I pray for workplaces, for stress, for cold, for far.
I pray for churches, for division, for longing, for your wrap.
And I pray for this world, for the lonely, the hurting, the lost.
Let your love hold through us.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing us.
Thank you for your love that holds.
I trust you with every space, every sigh, every heart.
You're our savior, our refuge, our king.
We love you, Jesus.
Hold us close today and every day with your unfailing love.

Amen.
