I Snagged Bill Gates’ Favorite Watch for $75! (Casio Duro Pepsi)

Casio Duro watch review. Hello everyone. This is Ahmed Dan. Today I'm going to have a quick unboxing and review video of the Casio Duro uh MDV 106 which is a very famous watch. Uh it has been uh rumored online that Bill Gates uh owns and wears one of the Casioduro watches and this is another reason why this watch is very popular and I wanted to have a look. Uh, so I ended up buying the Casio Duro Pepsi Basil on Amazon Prime Day sale. And today, let's take a look at it. So, I'm just going to go through the unboxing first. So, you can see that this is the uh basic Casio unboxing. All of their like, you know, watches are very similar type of box and paper uh box uh and inside like you know there's a plastic uh tray. So, this is how it looks and I think I saw the model number which is right here. So, this is MDV 106 DD 1 A2 VCF uh model. And let's open it up and see what we have here. So, this side is empty. I'm going to just set it aside. And this is the watch right here. So, you see that it's wrapped in plastic uh paper or plastic wrapper. So, I'm just going to take it out here and put it here. Now, it looks like they included a like, you know, some kind of I think this is warranty. Uh, let's take a quick look. So, this is just a warranty. And I don't think there's anything else in here. So, yeah, that looks like uh that's all we have here. I remember in the past they used to attach like a huge uh fat brochure, but I think they cut it or maybe it's somewhere still here. We're going to take a look at it. And uh just a note that today I'm wearing my uh Certina uh GMT a Powermatic 80 watch. So this is how it looks and I'm going to wear the Casio just to show you guys how it looks on my close to 7 in uh wrist. Okay. So let's uh take a look if they attach the brochure. Okay. I think this is what I was telling you. uh they still have these uh like you know brochures but I see a change it's mainly made of paper and they cut it looks like uh I remember before there's like in a book very fat book but this is just like you know uh made of paper I'm just going to put it back and let's take out the watch from the frame and I see that they have this is stainless steel uh band and this watch comes in uh rubber band, but I went ahead for the stainless steel band. So, I'm just going to unwrap it. And let's uh the first thing I'm noticing right away, it looks beautiful, but I think there's a plastic wrapper or plastic covering here. So, let me just take a And another thing I see that it's moving. So, it's already working, but I'm going to have to just take out this plastic wrapper. So, we'll put it aside here. Now, you can see that it's really nice looking watch. I cannot believe this is so inexpensive and yet looks so nice and durable. Now, if you're interested some of the specs which I have it right here. So, 44 mm case and we have band 22 uh mm and then the case thickness uh is 12.1 and then this is 170 g. It has weight and then 200 m water resistance and then screw down crown uh which the crown is right here. Now, this is a big watch, but the thing is when I'm holding it, it doesn't look that bad. It looks just fine. So, I'm just going to, you know, quickly wear it. But before that, looks like the band is not bad at all given the price range. Uh, it has also plastic wrapper here which I'm going to remove it later. But, you know, I really cannot complain about what the price paid and what I got. And I think this is a collapsible clasp band. And you can remove it. And on the back, this is how it looks like. Not sure if camera is going to be able to uh pick it up. So, it says Casio Japan. Uh, okay. Actually, I cannot assembled. I think it says something cased in China. I'm not sure. I couldn't see the word. Okay. The model number is right there too. and so let me just uh you know quickly uh remove my certina and wear it. So this is a GMT watch with uh Pepsi Ba Basil and also that one is a diving watch as well but this is a diving watch with Pepsi Basil which is should be unidirectional. So let's just take a look here. Whoa. It is you can you can hear actually the noise and it makes a very beautiful noise and it is unidirectional. I cannot you know um move it both direction. So it's just goes in one direction but it looks like very uh nice uh basil and it's aligned perfectly. There's no complaint there because sometimes the basil do not align properly. But this one seems to be just right. So let's put it here. I have to cut the band. But for now, uh this is how it looks. And as you can tell that although this is a 44 mm watch, it doesn't look bad at all. It looks just fine. That's incredible. So it looks just fine. So, I have to just, you know, do the cut the bend or adjust the band later on. So, definitely I'm happy with the product and uh this one usually runs for $90 to $100 Canadian. Uh the stainless steel band if you're buying the rubber band, which is cheaper. However, I was able to pick it up on Amazon Prime Day for like $75 Canadian, which is really hard to believe. And I I remember seeing the rubber band on Amazon Prime Prime Day same watch for I think 60 or $65 something like that. So, you can see that this is really a good priced watch. And you cannot even tell that this is so inexpensive and definitely it looks very nice here. So, I'm complet I'm totally happy with the product. So, that was the Casio Duro MDV Pepsi Basil.
