Welcome back to day 3 of the 2025 edition of the Paris Airshow and much like the first 2 days,
it's really been the airshow of Airbus with the planemaker confirming a new deal. The purchase
involving this time just 2 planes with an MOU coming from MNG Airlines or M N G A. MNG Airlines
is an e-commerce enabler based in Turkey and plays a significant role as a global logistics provider
as well. The manufacturer says it is absolutely delighted to welcome MNG Airlines to the A350F
family as this represents the second commitment to the upcoming freighter variant at the airshow
to date. Additionally, Airbus views the purchase of the A350F as a further means to highlight the
strong operational foundation that the company is providing to prospective operators who are
obviously going to purchase said plane as they feel the need to elevate their freight business.
As for MNG, which the more I say it becomes even more of a tongue twister, the move to purchase
this plane is crucial for them for their own development of trade lanes across major ports
right around the world. According to MNG Airlines' chief executive and chairman, the A350F will really
focus in on growth across markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and even into North America.
The jets once delivered will allow for charter and scheduling of operations to commence. This
offers greater flexibility than ever before, with more chances to meet the requirements of not just
leading but also emerging customers. Whether this ranges from the transportation of basic cargo to
high-value freight and express logistics, the model that intends to fly with MNG Airlines will be
capable of that. For Airbus, the rise of the A350F certainly aligns with ambitions to grow market
share across the freighter scene once and for all. Airbus would acknowledge that it has been in the
counterpart Boeing for too long in this scene. The American plane maker has largely controlled it
without really too much disruption for many decades. But now with the A350F, Airbus is
attempting to change the dialogue surrounding this sector and expects the plane to rival the
upcoming 777-8F from Boeing as well. The A350F will carry up to 111 tons and comes with a range
of 8,700 kilometers. Equipped with state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce engines, there's a 40%
reduction in fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions. So as a result, you're really seeing a state-of-the-art
plane bring maximum efficiency. And moving forward, we can pretty confidently say that the A350F
will go up against the Boeing 777-8F. And it is going to be a fascinating watch
as freight operators weigh up which direction they're going to head.
Keep to hear your take down below in the comments. There will be more videos coming to your screens
very, very soon. Stay tuned as I'll always say and appreciate you tuning
in throughout the 2025 edition of the Paris Airshow.
