The English countryside is changing again: brambles are heavy with the first blackberries of the season and Summer is slowly maturing with whispers of Autumn. In this video, we say goodbye to my old kitchen - the cosy space where I started our candle business and this YouTube channel. I also unbox some new Autumn decor and soak in the beauty of slow, country life, picking blackberries in the field by the village church. Enjoy, Adriana x

And just like that, brambles are heavy with wild blackberries again, summer is maturing
before our eyes and the English countryside changes with each passing day.
I still want to pinch myself that all this beauty and history, going back thousands of
years, surrounds the village I now get to call home.
Dreams do come true and if you believe in something and work for it, it will happen
for you too.
Just like my dream of finding a small, cozy home in a rural part of England is now a reality.
My friends, this is a very special moment.
This is probably the last time you'll see me making a cake in this kitchen.
I started my candle business and YouTube channel in this very space and I will always cherish
the memories our family made here.
But I'm ready to start a new chapter.
These last 7 years in this house have been genuinely happy and peaceful.
Our sweet Rosa was born here, I remember packing the very first candle orders while nursing
her.
Jakob grew from a boy into a young man and Andrzej and I gained a few grey hairs and
a whole lot of life and business experience.
They were wonderful years, but life keeps moving on and it's now time to begin a new
chapter and plan ahead for the busy months of autumn and winter.
One of the requests I hear most often from you is to show more behind the scenes of our
business.
We grew from making candles in the kitchen to needing separate storage units and soon
our brand new studio in the new house will be ready.
I plan to show you a lot more of our work as shopkeepers and candle makers then, but
for now let's unbox the delivery of our new home decor.
I always source items that I think would fit perfectly in a cozy country cottage, like
something out of a Nancy Meyers movie.
I love this, I love all of it so far.
Knitted pumpkins have to be the peak of coziness.
I love it, I love every single one of the items that arrived so far.
You know what's funny?
We work with several wholesalers and they all have their own rules, which is natural.
Some of them will dispatch my wholesale order like the next day and some of them might take
like weeks and weeks before the order will be even shipped to me.
So sometimes when I place an order I actually forget what I bought for the shop because
it's been a while and then when I open these orders I am just so excited.
Obviously it is all my taste because I'm the one choosing it for the shop and I am just
loving everything, I am loving everything.
This is just gorgeous and I know it will make so many of your homes cozy this autumn.
Planning ahead is crucial in business and if you think mid-July is too early for autumn
decorations then retail is probably not for you.
In August our autumnal sales begin to rise and I think it's natural.
I have this theory which I talk about in the first blog post of our autumn countdown series
that preparing for autumn in the midst of summer is deeply rooted in our DNA.
Our grandmothers spent days harvesting and preserving food for the colder months.
While our survival no longer depends on it, the intuitive call that's been in us
for thousands of years is still there.
It's just my theory but I think it makes sense.
These baskets will be perfect for herbs, autumn branches and, before we know it, a mini Christmas tree.
This is so cute!
The forest is so perfect, green, lush, alive.
Spending time here with Andrzej is my favorite thing to do.
And if heaven exists and I get to go there, this is how I'd want to spend eternity.
The slow but certain shift is visible in the woods too.
It's not just the farmer's fields turning gold.
The first hints of yellow, orange and brown are appearing among the trees as well.
I recently popped over to the garden center and brought home these delicate white flowers
that smell of vanilla.
And I already know just the pots I'm going to place them in.
I love the rustic look of our table.
I've never had a dining room before and I'm so excited to be able to create tablescapes
and host family and friends.
I'm sorry for bringing up Christmas again in this video
but our Christmas dinner is going to be amazing this year.
I'm not sure if there will be a video next Sunday as we're finalizing the move
but I promise that the next time you see me, I'll show you around my new kitchen.
In the meantime, make sure to catch up on my writings over on the blog
where I hope to inspire you to live slowly and in tune with nature.
Thank you for watching and I hope to see you over on the blog.
