Hello! Come in!
Hi, I'm Sam. I play bass guitar.
Hi, I'm Kieran Singer. Jamming eye.
Lover, not a fighter.
I'm Joe, and I'm the other one.
We are Circa Waves, and we're on tour in America.
Halfway through, and we are playing with the Bank of Florida Pilots Club.
And we are promoting our record, Death and Love, part one.
And this is the hell hole that we've found ourselves in.
Hi, so this is the living area where we've got a table.
You can put your coffee, your tape, your Bluetooth speaker, this sticker, this guy.
And then if you move along,
you've got the fireplace going.
Why not?
Microwave, heat your food up.
Who doesn't like hot food?
This, whiskey,
wine,
Nutri-Grain.
OK, you've got your water, you've got your
stuff.
Look at this guy.
Hello!
Bananas.
Hershey's Miniatures.
Don't like them at all.
Gatorade.
Just all of the nutrients young men need to make rock and roll.
So I think we're all like pretty big foodies in the band.
So I don't know if anyone has noticed, but this is actually the tendie tour
that we're on unofficially.
So we're getting chicken tendies in every place that we can
and doing little reviews of them
because we're just such food connoisseurs, you know.
Not all tendies are created equal.
And we're discovering that all across America.
Yeah, we've been revisiting The Last Dance, the Michael Jordan documentary,
because it felt fitting.
And we're in Chicago today.
And so we were just preparing just so we were all up on Michael Jordan law.
We watched the platform where the
where there's a platform of food and you have to kill people to eat it.
It was ----.
With the lack of suspension, you need to really clip yourself down to something.
So if you can get onto that table and stay still, then you'll probably be safe.
Yeah. And we tend to do a lot of just like plank, like planking.
Yeah. So just once once it's going, you get into your plank
and then just lock it in, lock it in.
And it's a real full body workout.
It's amazing.
You want to see the fridge?
Alone, Guinness, Lacroix.
Iceberg, less
Smirnoff, ice
hummus, Sprite,
more hummus.
Joe, Joe likes to soak his oats.
And that's.
I guess it really nothing that wild.
Is there anything in the freezer?
No, it's like a coworking desk space.
It's a hot spot.
Yeah, we hot desk, we hot desk from here.
So I'll be sending a fax back home about like the show and what's been happening.
Kieran's email in Tokyo about like our business proceedings.
It's like a real it's a real hub.
This is a real network of the sort of community.
We've got seven fully grown adults in here, which is.
Yeah, you wouldn't believe it, would you?
But we did. We got him in there.
They said it couldn't be done.
We got one guy up here, which
he has fallen out already.
He's fine.
And then we have to have a quick peek in here.
We have six beds in here.
One, two, three.
I'd say it's comfortable.
It's not.
But, you know,
touring was never made to be comfortable.
Would you like to see the toilets?
Who wouldn't?
OK, look at that.
Oh, lovely. Wow.
We're all just sat here just going.
So this is what it feels like when we're on the road and we're driving.
You sort of just doing this.
It's fun.
On the first night we sat down, we all had to say one nice thing about the RV.
Yes. Oh, yeah.
Because we are on the way here.
Our flight got cancelled, so we had to fly to Newark instead of Washington.
And we all got on this bus to drive to Washington.
And we were going to have about three hours sleep
before we had to get up again and go to the gig.
And we were all just sat there in like a stony silence.
And I was like, let's just all say one nice thing.
And I was trying to say one nice thing.
It was so ******* loud.
Nobody could hear me.
And it just I think it just that broke me immediately.
This episode should be called Rock Band Complains About Their Job.
It's not that bad.
You know, it's a bus and it moves and we get from place to place.
Four wheels.
Is it got four?
I don't know, but it feels doesn't feel like it's got four wheels.
