Hi, I'm Brad, I'm John, we've actually done some from this guy before, his name's
Tartar Stan, apparently according to the Beatbox Wikipedia, he used to be known as Escaper.
It's been a while, I'm assuming, but since he's known by that, I mean, he's a quick back
history, professional beatboxer, been active since about 2010, and he's a two-time Russian
beatbox champion in competition, so I forget the years, and he's done several covers, done
at least one cover of his before, and now we're going to do another one because he just
released it, not too long ago.
He's done a cover of some DCs and ACs, or some ACs and DCs, whichever.
I'm surprised, I guess it must be different enough so it gets clear.
Oh, very much so.
If AC-DC is the one, their stuff always gets blocked.
Yeah, well, yeah, whenever we try to do a cover of actual AC-DC, it's always been a
case of no, which is funny because other people have done AC-DC covers, reactions, but yeah,
they're actually very few and far between when you actually start looking around, so
it's kind of like it's rare for them to get approved, shall we say.
Yeah, I mean, obviously, they probably don't get any releases.
Yeah, quite probably, or because it's a cover, they don't care.
Anyway, so AC-DC, this was released in 1975, although it was actually not a single until
1976, and weirdly enough, this was in 2018 ranked the 81st most Australian song of all time.
As far as awards go, there you go, that's an interesting one.
The song is TNT.
It's just hard to believe that these songs are from the 70s.
This song is older than me!
Not older than me, but...
No, but you were like five when it came out.
All right, well, let's check it out.
Before we do, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
Check out the description down below.
You're going to find all our links and information and stuff down there.
I still haven't found out if the average two and a half minute thing is...
Oh, that competition thing.
...related to competition.
I'm sure somebody said it in the comments and I haven't seen it, so if you have, sorry.
Say it again.
Yeah, say it again.
Right.
Off we go.
Don't you start no fight.
Cause I'm TNT, and I'm burnin' all my might.
TNT, and I'm burnin' all the fight.
TNT, I'm a brand new level.
Watch me explode.
I.
Try.
I.
I just find it amazing that people could do that.
Well, make a sound, but just have the ability to take a song and...
Oh, I don't know what I'm trying to say.
Effectively come up with this treatment for it, and then perform it.
Cause it's one thing that you could, like I said, hard enough to make the sounds and do it,
but to create your own song with it, it's like, but then take a song and be able to make sounds
sound like this.
I know what I'm trying to say.
Well, yeah, it's kind of one of those, you figure it's hard enough to take an existing song.
That was an interesting vehicle driving by.
It's hard enough to take an existing song and not remix it, but effectively, you know,
rewrite it to do your own spin on it, which he's already doing.
And then to go, Oh, well, I'm not actually using any instruments.
No, I'm going to do all of this myself.
Using different beatbox techniques, right?
It's definitely, it's like how it really is.
Yeah.
Cause I'm D&D, I love my D&D, you know, you know the vibe,
D&D, watch me explode.
Yeah, it just, the ability to do that.
Yeah, it's like, yeah.
That shows you talent, I mean.
Yeah, I mean, it's hard enough to, I'm sure to write an original piece in this style.
Well, actually, no, it's probably just as easy to write an original piece in this style as it is to
write any original musical piece and come up with.
Not that it's easy to write it, but it's, I would say it's easier to write your own
than to take someone else's and try to turn it into.
Yeah, that was the point I was getting to.
Yeah, that's what I was trying to say earlier.
Yeah, it's like, yeah, to write your own, it's kind of like, no one's going to compare
it to anything.
To take an established song that is incredibly well known and to not only put your own spin
on it, but, you know, to do it in such a fashion as this, it's like, yeah, it's the amount
of work and, you know, dedication, effort that goes into something like this has to
be absolutely astonishing.
I want to know if you could actually learn that, you know, it's like playing an instrument,
you take lessons and you.
Yeah.
And there again, some of it is natural.
I mean, it comes to you and stuff, but to me, it's like, can what they're doing actually
be taught?
Yeah.
To a degree, I would say yes.
And there again, even teaching someone an instrument, you know, teaching this person,
this person, this person might get it easy and this other person might be like,
I'm going to say yes, simply because the female member of Beater Power House was just
a singer when she joined in.
Just.
She was a singer.
She was only a singer.
She was only a singer when she joined.
She was only a good singer.
And the other four members have been teaching her beatbox techniques to the point that,
OK, when they have internal competitions, she always loses.
But it's because she's not as she's not as good as the other four.
But she's actually learning those techniques.
And she, you know, when you watch the more current things, she's not just singing.
You know, I mean, I guess when I actually actually, you know, she's using beatbox techniques.
And I guess what I come to think now, I should think about it.
Yeah, because I'm just like a singer.
It's like people take, you know, singing lessons and it's like you could be a singer,
but you're singing.
Coach is going to tell you what you need to do this with your blah, blah, blah part of
your body to get it down.
I mean, I guess I don't know.
It just to me seems like a lot would be more natural.
But yeah, it's like you can either do it or you can't.
Huh?
I'm just trying to do what I like or don't like.
So, well, I definitely like that one.
I'm going to continue checking him out.
Oh, yeah.
So if you want to see those, make sure you get that like and subscribe.
