Spring is gradually entering into its right, nature is filled with life.
I have already started preparing for Easter.
I will show you how I made Easter bunnies from straw and straw.
Such bunnies are relevant for more than the first year.
For example, such bunnies are sold in the internet store Vazteres.
I also saw similar figurines in Ashan and in other stores for homes and gardens.
The price is about two thousand rubles.
I start with the production of the head.
From baking foil I form an elongated muzzle.
I put on the foil until I get the head of the desired size.
Then I glue the workpiece with masking tape.
This is necessary in order for the straw to stick better.
I immediately glue the eyes made of polymer clay.
For convenience, I fastened the straw with a hairpin and begin to glue.
I start with the top of the head and gradually move to the nose.
I glue with hot glue.
Initially, I planned to make the hair of the bunny out of straw.
But looking at how these figurines look in reality, reading the description, I realized that they are made of straw.
But I did not find anything like this in art stores.
There is a large choice of straw, carafe and sisal fiber of various colors.
But, unfortunately, there is no straw.
I even wanted to buy hay for feeding domestic rabbits and rodents.
But I did not like the fact that it is not homogeneous enough and chaotically crumpled.
Straws are of different sizes, and I need them to be of the same thickness.
And preferably even.
Therefore, I decided to bother and plant grass for pets and dry it.
If you want to make similar rabbits and you are watching this video when you already have warm weather and grass grows in the yard,
then just plow and dry it.
And you do not need to come up with anything extra.
I pay special attention to the eyes.
Of course, the process of gluing straw is very time-consuming and not fast.
But the result is worth it.
I will make the front part of the rabbit's muzzle of sisal fiber of white color.
Sisal is easier to work with than straw.
It is thinner, softer and easier to glue.
But in my opinion, straw wool looks more neat.
The nose is made of sisal of brown color.
Ears are made of bag and wire.
I also glue straw around the edges.
I paint the highlights with white acrylic paint and cover with varnish.
I start making the body.
I need a sock.
I fill it with buckwheat flax.
I tamp the flax well so that the rabbit is stable.
For clothes, I need two types of fabric for patchwork.
First, I will make a blouse.
I sew cotton lace to the future sarafan.
Now I make the assembly on the fabric.
I make the collar of wide cotton lace.
I glue the details of lace.
I glue the bristles with hot glue.
I decorate the sarafan with cute wooden buttons.
I make the paws of polystyrene foam.
I glue the edge with masking tape.
I make the sleeve of fabric and start gluing the straw again.
I glue a lace cuff on top.
The paws are ready, I glue them to the body.
And finally, I glue the head.
I will make a boy rabbit in a couple of girls' rabbits.
I decided to make its wool out of fabric.
The method of making the head is the same.
Compared to straw, it is easier to work with fabric,
since it is more plastic, it is easier to glue it, as well as sisal.
But, as I said, in my opinion, the straw looks more neat and spectacular.
I will make the paws from sculptural clay.
You can, of course, make it from polymer clay,
but I decided to check how well the clay will cope with this task.
Sculptural clay, unlike ordinary, is heavy and hard enough.
I will make the body of the rabbit from polystyrene foam.
With scissors, I remove sharp corners and give the details a more rounded shape.
I insert wooden sticks into the body.
I wrap the plasticine with foil, and then I glue it with masking tape.
I glue the bag to the sole.
And again I glue it with scotch tape in the direction from the edge to the center.
I made a shirt from two trapezoids.
I glue the collar.
I sewed the pants on the pattern.
I add details to the suit.
I make the paws in the same way as for the previous rabbit.
I paint them with acrylic paint in the color of the suit.
I will make various details from polymer clay Candy Clay.
I will make carrots for the boy rabbit.
This clay differs from the usual in that even after hardening, it remains plastic.
It can be bent and even cut.
It is very light and feels like marshmallow.
For the girl rabbit I will make an Easter basket.
I will fill it with cake and Easter eggs.
I will make small roses from tissue paper.
I fold a strip of paper 4 times and make a semicircle cut from above.
I stretch the petals and twist.
I tighten the base with a thread.
I make another layer of petals.
I decorate the head of the rabbit and the Easter basket with roses.
I add green leaves.
Such cute rabbits can be decorated with a festive table or, for example, a fireplace.
Which rabbit did you like more?
For example, the girl rabbit.
Thanks to everyone who watched to the end!
