Caroline Clark (19th Century)

American amateur composer. Nothing is known about his life. His only extant work is the 'Lafayette's march / composed by Miss Caroline Clark ... Aug. 30, 1824', composed in honour of Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette (1757-1834) for his crucial role during the American Revolution, and written for the Boston Independent Cadets, an elite Massachusetts militia unit.
