We follow the traditional process of crafting a small wooden fishing boat — a unique double-ended rowboat, used for fishing and bird hunting in wetlands and rivers.
These boats have been built the same way for generations, using only simple carpentry tools and the skilled hands of local craftsmen.
One such craftsman, working in the coastal region of northern Iran, still builds these boats with passion and dedication — keeping an ancient tradition alive against all odds.
But this centuries-old craft is slowly fading away. The rise of fiberglass boats, unregulated fishing, and modern challenges have led to fewer people carrying on this ancestral work.
