Chilbir is a classic Turkish breakfast made of poached eggs served on a delicious garlicky
yogurt.
You can poach the eggs using any method that you're familiar with.
I usually crack them in a strainer to get rid of the watery whites and then cook them
in the water for about 3 minutes.
Mix the yogurt with chopped dill, garlic, salt and pepper and spread it in a bowl.
Now to make the topping, melt the butter with olive oil in a pan, add the Aleppo pepper
or pul biber and cook it for a few minutes so the mixture turns into dark red.
Place the poached eggs on the yogurt sauce topped with pul biber melted butter and serve
with bread.
This is definitely one of my favorite breakfasts, give it a try and enjoy.
Bet you won't find a better breakfast bowl on the internet.
This Mediterranean style breakfast bowl is everything I love.
You've got your labneh, your pita, some jammy eggs, cocktail cucumbers, I also have some
tomatoes, kalamata olives, and as for the eggs, let me tell you something, I like mine
jammy so I boil them for about 7 minutes and then in an ice bath but you can do hard boiled
if that's what you like.
Then top it all off with some good olive oil and some za'atar and that's it, super easy
and delicious, give this a try and as always make sure to follow for delicious recipes.
2 pocha ala bidir miyim?
Can I have 2 pochas?
I've said this sentence so many times in Turkey.
These are my absolute favorites and they're so easy to make and once you try them, you're
gonna love them as well.
These Turkish pastries come in many shapes and forms and with different fillings including
olives, chocolate, cheese, and potatoes and now that I cannot go to my local bakery to
grab some, I make them at home.
The dough is so forgiving and so easy to work with.
You can use a stand mixer to make the dough or knead it by hand.
I usually prefer to work with my hands because I get to feel the dough and know when it's
ready and if it needs more flour or is pliable enough.
You can make pocha in different shapes, you can do half moons, you can roll it with the
filling or you can just make small buns.
However you do it, it's gonna be absolutely delicious.
Right before you bake them, brush the pocha with some egg yolk and then top with sesame
seeds, nigella seeds, or just leave them plain.
Once they're out of the oven, you can cover them with a towel for a few minutes so they're
very very soft.
These are absolutely delicious.
Give them a try and enjoy.

Bake it in the oven until it's golden and crispy.
