You're in Gladiator 2, which is the sequel of the iconic Gladiator by Ridley Scott and you play Macrinus used to be a former slave, but is now a wealthy art dealer. He owns a stable of Gladiators. And what I really loved about this character is that he had such a big ambition. He says I used to be owned now I control an Empire. That's a huge revenge on life Denzel. What has been your biggest revenge on life? The best revenge on life is living healthy. I'm at the place in life where I want to do the best work. I can. That's why I've done the physical transformation. I'm always working on my spirit in my mind. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I think clear like you do I could see. I see my energy. And what I loved about the movie Gladiator 2 is that I felt like the whole storyline was about fighting for what's right fighting for your vision. And you know, even I myself as a young woman. Sometimes I feel like we live in a generation where it's so easy to feel lost and discouraged. This world is kind of a crazy place. So how do we keep the face to keep on fighting for what feels right to us and for what we want in life? Spend a half an hour every morning in quiet time. Don't go. We're all guilty of it. It's very hard to do. You do it start with five minutes. Don't turn on any light. Put your feet on the floor. Take some deep breaths and say thank you. And then just be quiet. You'll find it very hard to do when you get quiet. You start to hear things take time with yourself alone. And in the movie the motto of the gladiator is strength and honor two big core values Denzel. What are your two core values that you always fight for? My faith. And my was not for value with my I'll always fight for my faith and I always fight for my family. I'm also wondering, you know, we were talking about, you know, always keep on fighting keep on fighting but some people in life don't even try to fight. Some people don't even try because they're afraid of rejection. They're afraid of what people might think might say about them. So how do we stay being ourselves our true selves in this arena called life? Back to the original. Try that. Don't even worry about a half hour. Try 10 minutes. Quiet time alone. Whether you pray, whether you meditate, whether you know, who's it? No, nothing. Just sound just try to be quiet first. Because what you're reacting to then is peace. Once you get up and grab the things or whatever what you're reacting to is chaos. You can get addicted to peace. And can also get addicted to chaos. So the desire for something more shocking more stunning grows because you're developing a habit of needing that shock if you will. Well, I actually have another question for you because I don't have any money. Oh my God. I was not going to have that. But my question was how old are you? I'm 28. Okay. I see nothing gives me greater joy or brings tears to my eyes more than just not just their talent but living through them, you know what people say when I'm no longer here. I hope they say, you know, he was a good guy. He was a kind man that the things that are important to me don't have anything to do with movies any longer because you know, my days are numbered or we're all about days of numbers. Yeah, that is sometimes very complicated because I have my values. So I'm a very political content creator. I'm all about advocating for black community, especially black women and at the same time sometimes working with what I used to and I'm not working with those people before that wouldn't get me and wouldn't get where I'm trying to do with myself and the influence that I have in the social network, you know, and having you right now telling me all of that and just like wow, that's such a circle full circle moment because you know, we live in a world where we keep on seeing each other and comparing to each other. And if I didn't have those value I could get bigger but my values are who I am. I cannot treat them for that. I went through it too. At a different time when life is simpler and a bit easier. I don't know if it led as much to the anxiety or fears that that you're you have to deal with now because again, it's too so much coming at you all the time. I'm just really happy that we just had this talk because it's crazy that you just felt like telling me that that's what I'm feeling. That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah, nothing crazy about it. That's God.
