Selena Gomez's Teen Vogue Cover Shoot

Hi, I'm Selena Gomez and welcome to my Teen Vogue cover shoot. Honestly, to have that many Teen Vogue covers, it's really cool. Because I had a subscription when I lived back in Texas and I must have been 11, 12 years old. So I still have that moment where I get kind of geeked out. It's been a crazy year being 21, having a baby sister, having the show continue and then my concert and my first number one album and my first number one single. So, yeah, a lot of really great things have happened to me. I'm super blessed. This tour was almost like my goodbye tour. Initially, I wanted to quit music and once I got on stage and I put it all together and it did become what it became, I just thought, like, there's no way that I'm even close to saying that this is it. Being on tour is really hard to be away from your entire life. So this time around, I basically wanted to hire all of my friends at some point of my tour. So two of my dancers I've actually known for years and then my cousin came on the road. So I feel like I have my family with me and my friends. So I got my girls and that helps. I have a good balance of people who are my friends in the business and who aren't in the business. So it is nice to have that availability to pick up the phone and call Taylor and just even Demi and just having that someone to be like, I kind of deal with this and you would understand. And then you get to have that bond with them. But it's also a good balance to have people who aren't in it so they could just talk to me about, like, skateboards. New Year's is fun. It's my favorite. It's my time to go away with my girls. And you go and dress in something you're comfortable in. Last year I wore a long little maxi dress. So something that makes me feel sexy and very flirty. It's fun. I always make New Year's resolutions and I never keep them. It's very difficult. My attention span is like all over the place. I like to make more realistic resolutions. So last year I said I wanted to be the happiest I could ever be. And I wanted to live for me. And so far I've been doing that. Hey, it's Selena.
