Not dead sure, it's going to be nip and tuck They need a huge score And that doubling of the Salchow could prove crucial This team is typically so consistent And just some small misses today But it is the World Championships And these teams in many cases are showing up And so it's going to have to be clean Or very close to clean performances To get these teams to take over the lead moving forward This team doesn't quite have the intricacy Through their choreography Yet they're still in their first couple of seasons together Their technical elements are so strong And they're doing more this year from a choreography standpoint Than they did last year I believe they'll do the same thing next year Throw, triple flip It's perfect, it is so good Watch Alexey, wasn't sure in real time But he does only 2 rotations So they will only get credit for a double Salchow Losing a couple of points there And then here, watch Maria's left foot Her free foot just brushes the ice on the way out It's not major, they still are earning a positive grade of execution The judges believe it exhibited enough great qualities To earn that little bit of extra quality marks But maybe not as much as they would normally get And remember, Alexey is still injured He has a back injury They're looking to get this fully healed in the off season So they can be strong and ready for Olympic year So the season's best score is 129.78 They need 132.32 if they're to go into the lead Yeah, they're not going to do that 125.84, it's 3rd place on the night And that will have them in 3rd place overall I think Yep, it certainly does So Diana and Maxime still in front Alissa and Mischa in 2nd
