week in my life! coney island, our new routine living together, hair extensions

[Music] [Music] [Applause] Hey, hey you guys. Welcome back to a weekend in my life in New York. We're at the Airbnb just about I'd say fully settled in. That's usually how Airbnbs go. It's quite easy. It's Friday night. We live in Seapport now. A little fun new neighborhood. And we realized that we live near Stone Street, which is like a really fun spot. I'm putting on my jewelry. A fun spot for drinking, meeting up with people. It's just a stone street of a ton of bars and restaurants altogether downtown and we can walk there. So, we thought it would be New York. What did you say? Oldest areas of New York. It's one of the oldest areas of New York. There you go. So, there's some history there as well. Put on these. I can't stop wearing this black halter top. I have one from Amazon and one from Kohl's. And I just can't stop wearing them. I think they're so perfect for summer and they're just such a cute going out top. I feel like they're really flattering on the shoulders randomly. Um, but yeah, so we're going to Stone Street with some friends and I think we're going to Coney Island tomorrow, which will be fun. And we're just going to see where the weekend takes us. This is like a true summer in the city vlog, I would say. So, and I know you guys love when I do Summer in the City vlogs, so I thought this would be perfect. Here's my little fit for the night. Like I said, the halter top and then I'm wearing this Miumu skirt. Actually need to figure out the shoes because stone street, you know, like what do I want to wear? I want to wear black flip-flop heels, but Stone Street that seems concerning. Oh, I do have these. Honestly, I should probably wear these. They're like so cute. They wrap up your feet. I really want to wear these. They are a thick heel. Delaney and Mason are going to kill me cuz I told them to wear flats, but my flip-flop heels have like a thicker heel. So, I think I'm going to do that. I think that's the vibe. Just got to put on some lips. Oh, fashion show. Fashion show. I like it. The outfits look good together. Got to pick out a bag. This is literally where I have my bags and accessories over here. Let's see. I think I want to just do my little Amazon little guy. Feel like that makes sense with this look. Tried to tidy up a bit in here because Delaney and Mason are going to come here first and then we're all going to walk together cuz they want to see the Airbnb and I'm like, "Okay, we got to tidy up. All right, guys. What did you think of Stone Street? It had so much fun, guys. We had the best night. Like, so fun. Ulisses, whatever. Good weather. Good weather. We're not sweating. And we literally are going to go back to that bar. It was cover band and fun, but also a DJ. I am like obsessed. It was a perfect night. Chill dinner outside, cover band inside, and then go home. And it's like 12:30. And then the best part, Ryan's leading the way home. Good job, Ryan. [Music] I took Ryan to the pink store. It's so cute. Oh my god. Taxis. That's cute. You're kidding me. For the cape. I was trying to find this hat inside. I couldn't find it. [Music] Good morning. Happy Saturday. My walk brought me to Zara. I don't make the rules. I haven't gone to Zara in so long. And my friend Cat told me that the Zara down here is really good. And she wasn't wrong. I went in there for a pair of denim shorts because this is the only thing about so far I've packed great, but I didn't pack any denim shorts or like my shorts, which I'm really upset about. We are gonna go to Coney Island today. I'm so excited. And I think I want to wear one of my jersey shirts. Um because they're like airy and oh my god, guys. We're gonna go to the aquarium. I'm so excited. I freaking love aquariums and I love the Coney Island aquarium. Okay, anyways. So, I went in for denim shorts to wear with said jersey and I came out with a few more things, but like they make sense, I think. Well, the first one's a total random thing, but I've been just wearing sweat sets like it's my job, which makes no sense cuz it's hot out, but like we've been cranking the AC, so I just like to be cozy inside. I found the cutest pink short sleeve like sweatshirt situation. And then matching pink pants. Like this is about to go hard. Or even just a travel. That's so cute. Then as I stated yesterday, I can't stop wearing halter tops. I think they're just the cutest little thing. And my friend Kelly was like, "You need to get the Zara ones. They're $14 and they have so many colors and they have a built-in bra." So I saw it while I was there. And this is like a really pretty yellow color. They are ribbed, which I can't decide if I like that or not. I feel like the ribbed makes them even more casual, but you can't really tell from afar. And then I got this olive green color. And then another black because I literally am obsessed with these freaking halter tops. I think they're the cutest thing. So Zara, $14. Make you holler. And then two other things. I got this shirt, which if I don't like the jersey, if I don't like how the jersey looks today, I might wear this cuz I just think it's so cute. I love yellow and brown. I think it's a really pretty combo. And it's like this really stretchy thick material, which I feel like is always really snatchy and flattering. So cute. And then these are the denim shorts cuz I didn't really I did not want distressed shorts. So the line for the fitting room was so long. I really hope these are called mom shorts. High-rise comfort. I just hope they don't give me wedgie. So we're going to pray that these work. Zara denim is a little iffy. I'm a size six. Um, so we're going to see. If not, I will go return them. But that's my little Zara haul. I'm going to take a shower, get dressed for the day, and then I'm meeting um Delaney, Alex, and Mason at the Fra, and it's like 23 stops, but it takes us right to Coney Island, and none of them have been. So, I am so excited. We thought it would be fun to go on the later side. So, we're going to get there probably around 3, which I think will be really fun because then we can be there for like golden hour, sunset vibes. So, I think we're going to do Aquarium first when it's like the hottest and then we'll do boardwalk, games, rides, sunsets. Okay, we are ready for Coney Island. The jersey did not translate. Ryan's off his Ryan. Say bye, Ryan. Good luck. The jersey did not translate with these shorts. Like, it was just not giving. But, I like this outfit. However, I don't love the sneakers with it. I wish I had like a pair of Converse or something, but I don't. And I don't want to wear ballet flats cuz I want to be comfortable walking around, you know? And I am comfortable in ballet flats, but I don't I just feel like I really need to be in sneakers. So, I'm wearing my new Zara top and shorts. I wish the shorts were more low-rise, but that's okay. It's what we could find. My little Miumu crochet bag, Amazon sunglasses, my Amazon scrunchie, my collaboration with Electric Pics from last summer, the Starfish, of course, and I actually added another hand chain on this side, which is from Electric Pics. And then I'm wearing some New Balance sneakers from BW that I've been wearing all week, but yeah, I haven't I feel like I saw people talking about how sneakers are kind of like not really in in the sense of like wearing with a cute outfit. Like now you wear boots or little kitten heels or flats and I totally agree. I just I'm suddenly turned off by it. But today is one of those days where I just simply need to be comfortable and I don't have my whole closet with me. So and I'm not not buying sneakers. I'm not buying sneakers. So I'm so excited. I'm going to head to the train now to meet them. Like I feel like today's going to be magical. I just do. So, let's go. [Music] We made it to the aquarium. How are you feeling? So excited. [Music] We're We're in line for the Thunderbolts. Very exciting. Kind of a long line. Hoping it moves faster. We're getting really scared. I'm really nervous. It's just like the first part goes all the way up and then all the way down. We're going to be like literally Well, I'll show you guys. We did it. We survived. We survived. The lady had to ride alone in a different row. That was scary. Like I don't know if we'll do that again, but we did it. It was so fun. We're about to do Spookarama and I'm kind of scared. We were saying this is like a Haunted Mansion dupe and I think it's going to be kind of scary low key. [Music] Just drinking your life. What you drinking? What you drinking? [Music] Drinking with you. What you drinking? What you drinking? You [Music] We are on the hunt for corn on the cob because I saw earlier someone was selling corn on the cob and like that's my ish. Oh my gosh, they're in they're stuck in. Okay. [Music] Home and happy. Today was the best day. Honestly, it's been the best weekend. Just super wholesome and good vibes. I'm wearing my new little pink sweatset from Zara. I just showered, did my skin care. Ryan's back there. He's actually on his free time has decided to make his or develop or create his own app, which I'll tell you guys more about when it launches. He's not an app developer, but he found a website where he can like create an app on there. So, very cool. So, crazy Saturday night over here. But today was so fun. Delaney actually bought this camera that I linked on Prime Day. It's like I think it was like $25 this digital camera and she vlogged the whole day, just like vibe footage. So, I'm actually going to insert this little like movie video she made cuz I thought it was really cute and representative of the day. Anyways, we've got the projector on and we're going to watch Amy Bradley is Missing, which is about it's a murder mystery. It's or true crime series. investigates the 1998 disappearance of a 23-year-old woman from a Caribbean cruise and her family's tireless search for answers. I don't know. This might make me really sad, but I don't know. Kind of sounds good. People are talking about it. It's on Netflix. I just ordered 12 chairs for dinner. I'm excited for that. I love 12 chairs. It's like Mediterranean food. And we're not going to be hung over tomorrow. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Good morning world. [Music] Good morning everybody. It's Sunday morning and the only thing I want to do on a Sunday morning if I'm going to work out is Pilates, specifically New York Pilates. And I'm going fullon Pilates, princess mode, little capri leggings, ballerina bun. I have to use my new road tote bag. Like, I can't believe I couldn't believe when I saw this. Like, I can't believe they sent this to me with the little lemon teeny lip balm. It's like such an obnoxiously large bag for what I'm putting in here, but that's totally okay, you know? Like, that's life. So, we're going to go to New York Pilates. There's not one in Fi, but there is one a 20-minute walk away in Soho. So, I'm going to do that. And then tomorrow, I'm getting my hair extensions put back in. I know, I know some people are like, "Don't do it." I am beyond excited. I love I'm going to miss wearing my hair like this. Like, it's so nice in the summer, but I just love my hair extensions in this era. Also, road water bottle. I put it in the freezer, so it got a little cold for a little bit. Um, got to get my Pilates socks. Should I be extra annoying and spray some road uh glazing mist? Obsessed. But um Oh, I need my Yeah, potty socks. I guess I'll wear sneakers cuz I'm walking a good bit. Oh, hair extensions. But then after that, you guys, I am going to a head spa. I've been dying to go to a head spa because I it's not really recommended to go with hair extensions. I mean, you really can't because they get in your like they have a magnifying glass, like a camera, a little micro camera to show your scalp. They fully clean out your scalp. Like, I just feel like my scalp is crying for this. So, um I'm going to H&K Beauty Salon or beauty spa in uh where is it? It's in Midtown. I And it's the coolest thing. Just look it up on TikTok, but they do all kinds of things for your scalp and I feel like that's the perfect thing to do right before getting my extensions put back in. So, I'm just going to go there straight from Pilates. So, that's that. I'm trying to find things. So, I'm going to go. But, I'm excited for this little Sunday. And then I'm going to come back and Ryan and I can run some errands and maybe walk the Brooklyn Bridge if we're really feeling it. Pilates is done. We are headed to H&K Health Beauty Spa to get my scalp cleaned. I feel like it's going to be really relaxing, too. I'm so excited. [Music] We are on a little afternoon walk. People are out right now. The sun is out. It poured rain earlier, by the way. a bit of rain here. During my flight class, it was pouring rain. I I waited it out a little bit last. I didn't bring an umbrella, but so nice. I'm so happy we picked living down here for the summer for the month because there's so much going on. But I feel like in the winter it's not as common. So, this is fun. Ryan was craving a slushie from 7-Eleven and there literally was one 400 ft away from us. They've got all kinds of flavors. I love a blue raspberry. Feel like you usually mix them. Oh boy. Just going for a little Mountain Dew, a little cherry. Or are we layering, Ryan? We're layering. Oh, you're not doing blue raspberry at all. So sad. This is the trick. Top one. Oh, and then you put more in. Get the most out of your book. This is very exciting. [Music] Guys, I'm back from the head spa. It was so nice. She even blow dried my hair. Like, they don't style it, so I pulled it back. But my scalp feels so clean. It was the coolest thing. Like, also didn't realize. Don't go if you have makeup on because they will take it off. It's also kind of a facial. They put a face mask, like she washed my face and then a face mask on my face during the whole thing, which was so nice. So, I'm nice and moisturized. It felt so good. Like, and they used one of those I'm telling Ryan at the same time. They used one of those tools, you know, that like scratches your head. It felt amazing. Yeah. So, that was nice. And I would go back and I'm excited. My scalp is nice and ready for my extensions tomorrow. And while I was gone, Ryan set up. So, we bought a microwave because there's no microwave here. Me and Ryan are we're big microwave people and we're gonna have to buy a microwave for our next apartment there. It there isn't one. And um actually as a gift, our realtor got us this microwave which is so exciting. So this is the microwave that we got. It's extra special because it doubles as an air fryer. It actually does three things. It's three in one. Oh, it's a convection oven as well. This is the Brevel 3in-1 like combi wave something. Ryan set it up. Oh, there's some chicken in there. My lunch. That's Ryan's lunch right there. I am so excited. I've never owned an air fryer ever. And Ryan's always had one, but I guess you left it for your roomie. So, now we have our own. And I'm excited cuz we'll bring this to the next place. We just got it a little early. Guys, I was watching Tik Toks about this. It's the coolest thing. You can soften butter. Like, that's so cool. Instead of it just melting the butter, it just softens it. Melt chocolate. Like, these are just random little settings, but it does so much. And Ryan already took it for a spin. You liked the chicken. Was it good? And he's loving his Stanley. I can't I can't get over how cute that is. Yay. Um, but anyways, really really excited to have a microwave here and can't wait to bring it to our apartment. Wow, this is this is good. I have an idea for where this will go. There's like a cabinet that I I mean I didn't get to measure it, but we got this knowing that okay, if it doesn't fit in the cabinet that I'm thinking of. We will it'll look good on the counter cuz it's a beautiful microwave. So, very excited about this purchase or gift, should I say. So, thank you, Mackenzie. I'm very impressed with our little setup here. We've successfully made a full dinner in this guy. Pork chops are ready to go. Do you think they're good? Yep. We put some worister sauce on it and salt and pepper. The potatoes are fire. I can't stop eating those. And then we've got green beans in the microwave now. But I'm proud of us. You know, you guys, we did it. And yes, we decided to be a paper plate household. You know, it's just easier with the dishwash. No dishwasher. Okay, it's temporary. All made with our new little toy. I'm so happy. [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Ladies and gentlemen, we are showered, we are dressed, we are headed to the hair salon and I will be there for hours. I'm getting the hair extensions put back in. I'm so excited. I'm going to miss doing my slick back buns, but other than that, I am so excited for some inches. I've got my hair right here in my bag. My little outfit. I wanted to be comfortable, but also feel cute once my hair is done. Zara halter, still here, New York jeans. And then I'm wearing these little Gucci slides that I got last year. So, that is the look. That is the fit. Say goodbye hair or hello to new hair should I say. [Music] Picture of it. Brett just found a gray hair. It's quite possibly the first one I've ever seen in myself. Let's see. Wait, it's it's not blonde. It's gray. Oh my god. Why is it so? It's fine. It's like wisdom. It's coming. That's hilarious. It's coming. You can I don't know if you can see it on camera. I can see the lightness. Oh, I'm obsessed. I'm so The curls just make it even more amazing. I'm so obsessed with my hair. We added low lights into the extensions because they were so bright because they just naturally get brighter in the sun and just extensions are known to get lighter. So, we definitely went a little bit darker. Um, but they will get super bright just over a few washes and I'm gonna be in the sun a ton the next few weeks. So, I was like, let's just do that because I don't want them to not match the rest of my hair. And I'm going back on Wednesday to get face framers just like to bring up the blonde a little bit in the front. But, I am just so obsessed. I love them so much. So cute. We're so back. I'm gonna pack now because I'm going to the Hampton's tomorrow for one night on a brand trip and then come back and then we go to Cape Cod for Gretchen and Max's wedding. I'm so excited. Um, so I'm going to end the vlog here. I hope you guys enjoyed.
