Are you living your best life?
Hello, Kevin
Hello, Toby
We just love you because you're our corgis as we head out on our adventure
We can face it all as long as we're together
Now that we've purchased our home
It's time to learn this new lifestyle before we hit the road
To do this we decided to stay for two weeks at the Pinery a provincial park in Ontario and
Of course being March in Canada our first morning. We awoke to snow and ice
This isn't to worry for us though
Our home has a nice warm furnace plenty of toys to play with and of course we have each other to help stay warm
Besides Kevin and Toby aren't going to let a little cold weather keep them inside all day
There's still adventures to be had and places to see
Hey boys, you wanna go to the beach?
Wonderful
The Pinery Provincial Park is located on the shores of Lake Huron
Having lived near the ocean for three years in Nova Scotia
Kevin and Toby were happy to be on the beach again
Which left us with happy
Fun fact about the boys they love fussing with a blanket until it's just right to lay on
The Pinery is known for hand-feeding chickadees. They will become frustrated if you don't have food for them
I had to come back with a peace offering later that day
There were so many different types of birds we put out some birdseed to attract them
However, a squirrel insisted it was for him
We'll say he was
unbothered by my
I
Learned how to cook with a
Gas stove today set off the smoke detector, but just once so that's not so bad
Kevin it was like yes. Yes. She did set off the smoke detector. Yes. It was loud. Yes. It made us bark
Yep, but that's all right. That's what we're learning, right? So
All right. That's the update made some grilled cheese is fancy the pinery
As we go along on this adventure we want to show you our corgis just living life
unscripted
Unplanned so you can enjoy them as much as we do
Oh
Hey, I'm Sarah hey there Amanda and this is Toby this is Kevin and together we are
Corgi truck. How are you finding it so far? I'm having a lot of fun
I would say that the boys are as well
They love being able to go different places for their walks each day. Not just in one place
They're absolutely loving that and there's lots of great trails here to be able to explore with them
Now one thing I should mention an extra challenge for us in these 14 days is we are currently winterized
meaning we have no running water, but I
Feel like starting a little bit harder is gonna make it feel even easier as we go
Right a lot of little learning experiences right as soon as we got here
We pulled up to our site and it turned out that the electrical box was too far for our electrical cable
Make sure to check and see what the distance is from the electrical box for Ontario Provincial Parks, and I believe National Parks
It does show that information on the site how far that it is from the post
If I had to give a tip for this leg regarding dogs and RVs that tip would be white noise
absolutely
We love the ocean sounds puts us to sleep. I say us all of us
especially the boys
Puts them to sleep right away and just it's a consistent noise as well. I think that that also helps
well, and I think back to a couple nights ago when we had our first thunderstorm and
That is not something that Toby was familiar with because he's been raised in an area where there
There are thunderstorms, but not like what you get in Ontario crazy rare, but he was a good boy
He tries he tries his best right so that we just talked him through it, but yeah white noise for the dogs for sure
