What's up, guys? It's Future Cass here.
I had to interrupt Crimmer real quick
because I wanted to let you know this
bow is available to buy right now, but
don't click the link in the description
yet. Watch the rest of this video. I
want to know exactly what you would be
getting if you buy this bow. It's not
for everyone, but it just might be for
you. This is the Bob Garner bow, and I'm
going to review it today. But like all
the bow reviews I do, I try to give
unbiased facts. The problem is I'm
extremely biased with this bow. I
designed it. I built it. I've put
countless hours into it. With that said,
I'm going to tell you who this isn't
for, cuz I'd be kidding myself and lying
to you if I said this was for everyone.
But I'd also be lying if I said that
this was only made for a tiny group of
people. Because the idea behind this bow
was to make a bow that was built off of
your request. Everything you liked and
don't like in bows. This is the middle
of all of that. Four years ago, I
started reviewing bows and I came up
with a framework to try to be able to
compare them to each other. Although the
framework isn't perfect, it still gives
us an idea of how a bow will compare to
others. There's five things we're going
to measure: specs, speed, smoothness,
snagability, and sacrifice. So, first,
let's jump right into the specs. The Bob
Garner bow, named after my grandpa, has
a 60-in ammo, 56-in bow string, a max
draw length of 34 in, but it also shoots
great at 24 in. I've tested it to 36 in
draw.
It doesn't stack.
No, I show you. The draw weight is
available in 5 lb increments from 25 lb
up to 60 lb. It comes in both left and
right-handed configurations. The handle
is made of solid hickory, but there are
variations in the color depending on the
exact bow you get. Its focus is on
essential functionality without the
unnecessary extras, keeping it simple
and cost-effective. The bow features
hickory tip overlays and fiberglass
limbs. It is a three-piece bow, so
there's take down hardware, which the
bow comes with. It also comes with the
bow string, the arrow shelf, etc. But
depending on how Cass breaks it down in
the listing, you may be able to add some
of those things on or keep them
completely off for the cheapest possible
bow. It's a recurrip style bow. I built
the mountain bow series. I came up with
a bunch of different designs of bows.
There was two that were really good. One
I turned into a wood style bow. The
other one I turned into something I
called the mountain bow. I did a run of
these. I sold four or five of these in
the past. This is styled off of that,
but I also took inspiration from my
grandpa's old recurve bow as well. Then
I tested out as many of the designs as I
could to just dial it in to make it
shoot as good as I could. Secondly,
let's do a speed test. Now I have a 40
lb bow right here. Let's test out what
the speed is like. Can you weigh one of
these arrows for me? I think the scale
needs I think we need to use the other
scale for the accuracy.
71. Is that slow you're saying or fast?
1679 with a 400 grain arrow and a 40 lb
bow. 10 grain per pound of draw weight
arrow. So averaged 170 ft per second.
That is with beaver string silencers and
a D97 string. Pop off the beaver string
silencers and you get up to 174 feet per
second. Go to a fast light string and
you get up to 179 feet per second. So,
as far as the speed goes, it's
definitely not the fastest bow, but it's
not the slowest. I'd give it a 6 and 1/2
out of 10 on the speed test. Now,
smoothness. How smooth is this bow when
you shoot it? I don't know if I should
give it a 10 out of 10 or a 9 out of 10,
but it is stinking smooth. I designed
the bow with that in mind, knowing that
smoothness matters a whole lot more than
speed. Because how it feels with it
being smooth relates to accuracy more
than speed as long as you're shooting
within 25 yards. Yes, speed will keep
the arrow from dropping is fast. But if
you have a fast bow that's has a lot of
vibration, it's harder to be accurate
than a bow that's smooth to draw and
feel smooth when you release. So, I'll
go with a nine. Nine out of 10 on
smoothness.

Snagability is how easy is it to pick
up, shoot, and be accurate with quick.
I've done this test by myself, and I'm a
better archer than I was four years ago,
so I can't compare like my scores now to
four years ago. This bow scored above
all the other bows in my testing on snag
ability. But I didn't like just pick
this up for the first time and start
shooting it because I've built 50
versions of this bow and been dialing it
in. So by the time I got the finished
version, it's very snaggable for me. So
I had my brother shoot it and I had
other people at ShadowProof shoot it.
And so this is proof first time cast to
shoot this specific bow that it goes
where you want it to.
You did get a good shot. I'm telling
you,
it's just accurate.
See, I'm not showing definitive proof of
anything here, but cat shooting this for
the first time, this experience happens
with many people. This is from 13 yd, so
it's not a long ways. But what people
keep saying is
it's so easy to shoot. And it's a 40 lb,
but feels like a 33lb boat.
The consensus is consistent. The arrows
fly like missiles. The bows cut to
center shot and the left and right miss
is very infrequent with this bow. On the
snagability test, I'm going to give it a
nine as well. Maybe a 10. I'll give it a
10 because that is the best thing about
this bow is that you can pick it up and
shoot it and it's easy to shoot right
away. get arrows that are close to being
tuned and it shoots the arrows straight
and smooth and accurately from the
start. I'm not just saying this. I've
had a lot of people test this bow out
and try it and everyone says the same
thing. They're like, "It's easier to hit
where I'm aiming and that's the goal of
this bow." So, I'm pretty happy about
that. Now, what's the sacrifice for this
bow? As far as the price goes, I'm
actually not sure because Cass hits all
the prices and stuff. So, I'm going to
call him and see if he'll give us the
information. I think it's 600.
Hello.
Hey, I just wanted to double check on
the price for the Bob Garner bow. And
you're thinking 600, right?
Uh, no.
Seven.
I was thinking a different price than
that.
What are you thinking?
Well, what I was thinking is for the
people who do the pre-order,
giving them to them for 299
and then
like 299.
Yeah. 299. Basically 300 bucks and then
do a pre-order for a week and then after
the pre-order is done, sell them for
3.99.
Uh are are you positive about that?
Yeah, I got all planned out.
Are you going to make any money?
Um, I'm really just trying to help more
people enjoy my archery. So, yes.
Well, are you going to go out of
business?
No, we'll make we'll make some money
because somebody's been working on the
systems
to make it really fast. So, as long as
we can keep the cost of materials down
and we can become more and more skilled,
we'll be good to go.
All right. You're crazy. Um,
if I would have sold this custom bow two
months ago, it, you know, it would have
been $1,400.
Oh, I would have priced it for at least
$1,200.
You're crazy. Okay. Um,
but this is the people's bow.
That's right. It's the people's bow, so
we better do some volume, huh?
Yeah. Yeah, that's I I thought about
trying to make it where it's like we go
out of stock and increase demand, all
that, but I'm like, no, that's not this
bow. Yeah,
this bow is for everybody and so we're
going to stay in stock and if we can't
keep up, we'll just put a lead time on
it.
All righty, sounds good. So, 299 for one
week. Uh, and then 300 continuing on
from there is the plan.
299
for the near future.
400.
Okay, perfect. Wow.
Um, hey, does that include bow string or
like is is there options to like add
bowring beaver? Do you know how you're
going to do all that? Yeah. So, that's
going to include it's going to be free
shipping. It's going to include a D97
Flemish twist bow string, beaver string
silencers, arrow rest, limb silencers,
and shatterproof archery. Stellar
customer service.
Oh gosh, you're crazy. Um,
that's
I want I want it to feel like a steal.
Well, that I mean, what the the
accessories you just listed are hundred
bucks and so
Uhhuh. That's a $200 bow um for this
first promo. That's crazy. Okay. Well,
you're in charge, so you got this. Um
I'll just make sure they're made.
Awesome.
All righty. Appreciate it. Thank you.
I'll talk to you later.
All right.
All right. Bye. Bye. Bye.
What in the world?
Oh, I hope he doesn't regret this.
Oh gosh.
So, who is this for? Well, it's not the
fastest bow. So, if your goal is chasing
speed over accuracy, this isn't it. And
this bow currently is sold only online.
So, if you're somebody who likes to go
to an archery shop, try out 10 or 20
bows, find the one you like the best,
and then purchase it, this one's not for
you. Now, one day this likely and
hopefully will be in those archery shops
and will be one of the 20 you grab and
hopefully will be your number one
choice. And I'm confident it can compete
for that. But for today, if you're
looking for a bow with zero risk that
you can buy online, this would be it.
What What do I mean by zero risk? Well,
it has a low cost. The value, I believe,
exceeds the cost dramatically, but we
want to provide more value than the
cost. So, it's a no-brainer. But it's
not just that. And that's how I've
approached customer service. That's how
Cass approaches customer service. Good
example, my very first bow launch ever.
It was like 3ish years ago. It's almost
embarrassing to look back on some of
those bows because of how much I've
improved over the past 3 years. And I
can still pick those up and shoot them
and they shoot pretty good. But I see
details now that I that I just didn't
have the training for that. Anyway, a
guy reached out who purchased one of the
original first bows I built. And I cut
the arrow shelf in too far on a one
piece bow that the fiberglass was really
thin and the fiberglass split up right
there and his bow broke. Devastating.
The worst thing that could happen. So,
our 30-day guarantee, psych, we don't
have a 30-day guarantee. This guy
reached out 3 years after he purchased
the bow. What did I do? Well, I don't
make that version anymore. So, I sent
him a new bow. I sent him this bow. I
sent him a bow that is much, much better
than what he originally purchased. Free
of cost, free shipping, everything.
Because I take care of the people who
trust us with their business. There's
enough bad actors on the internet. And I
think if I would have bought a bow from
somebody I watched a video from and it
broke on me, what would I have wanted
them to do? I would have wanted them to
replace it. So, do to others as you'd
have them do to you. It tends to work
out pretty good in life. So, when I say
almost no risk, it's because the cost is
low and because we guarantee to take
care of you. Sure, some people have
taken advantage of that motto before.
But I've learned that if you treat
people with respect, they want to do the
same. Back to you. So, this is the Bob
Garner bow. Brand spanking new. I am
more proud of this bow than possibly
anything I've done with archery. The
reason is is because with this one,
instead of making what my preference is,
I took all of what you guys wanted and I
combined it into one bow. And it turns
out that when you do that, you end up
with a better result. And so I am very
proud to offer you the Bob Garner bow
signed with Grandpa Bob, my grandpa
Cass's grandpa's actual signature with
approval from his wife. So, Grandma,
thank you for letting us do this in
memory of him. And Grandpa,
I hope this bow would make you proud.
And with that, stay shatterproof, my
friends. I'll see you on the next video.
And if this bow seems like a good choice
for you, we'd be honored. And if it
doesn't seem like a good choice for you,
don't get it because we are for you. See
you guys later.
