Welcome back to another episode of Crane of the Day from Chan 27.
In this episode, we talk about the Tadano AC 2.040-1.
The Tadano AC 2.040-1 is a compact and efficient all-terrain crane built in Germany and owned by
Japanese crane manufacturer Tadano. With a maximum lifting capacity of 40 tons,
it is designed for both urban and industrial environments. This two-axle crane combines
modern technology with high maneuverability, making it ideal for tight job sites.
Despite its compact size, it delivers strong lifting performance and ease of transport.
The AC 2.040-1 is equipped with a fully hydraulic telescoping main boom that extends up to 35.2
meters. For additional reach, it can be fitted with a 9-meter offsettable extension,
allowing a maximum system length of 47 meters. This configuration offers excellent flexibility
for handling loads at various heights and radius. The boom system is designed for fast setup and
retraction to save time on site. The AC 2.040-1 is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 934LA engine.
This four-cylinder diesel engine complies with EU Stage 5 emission standards and delivers 170
kW, which is 231 hp. It ensures fuel efficiency and high torque for both driving and lifting
operations. The crane features a ZF Traxon transmission, offering smooth gear changes
and optimal power delivery. Key features include Tadano's IC1 Plus control system,
which calculates real-time lifting capacity for any boom position.
It also supports asymmetrical outrigger setups, improving safety and flexibility.
The compact carrier is only 2.55 meters wide and under 11 meters long, enabling easy navigation
in cities. The crane also supports Tadano's Surround View Camera system for enhanced
jobsite awareness. That all for today. Thanks for watching this video. See you next episode.
