Window Replacement Costs in Ventura County, CA (What You Should Expect in 2025)

Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts and today we're going to talk about how much you can expect to pay for windows this year, 2025 in Ventura County. Anything home improvement related is going to be tied to how the market, the housing market is doing. If it's tanking, then a lot of businesses are slower. If it's, you know, low volume and, you know, the market prices are really high and people are buying houses a lot, chances are home improvement is really high. They kind of go hand in hand. We're at the halfway point of 2025 and it's kind of like stagnant. You're starting to find, at least in Ventura County, that there are more and more homes becoming available and nobody's buying them. So, you start to see prices kind of going back a little bit. So, it's like a market reset. Well, whenever you have that, most home, you know, improvement places, you know, American Window Concepts is one, they we kind of feel that a little bit, right? And so, it just slows us down. We're not doing quite the volume that we were maybe last year in July, uh, or especially a couple years ago, it was insane. Um, but there's there's a caveat to that. If you're looking for home windows in a spike, you're going to pay more and you're going to wait longer to get said windows. But if you're looking at, well, you know, darn it, I need new windows. You know, I've been in this house and I'm doing this because I don't like the way these windows operate. I don't think I'm very secure. I don't like that it gets so hot during the summer. I don't like that it gets so cold during the winter. They draft so insanely. Well, then you get what you want because it's going to benefit you or your family the most. And the cool thing is, chances are you're going to save a little bit of money. Why? Because you have competition. So, we have competition all over the area. And if you're inviting people to your house to give you quotes, well, we're all trying to get that job. I'm always going to stick to my guns on value base. You know, I'm not going to chop my legs off, you know, on a price because I'm just trying to get the job because that would be a bad decision as a business owner. But you're going to be able to come away with a better deal today than you would say 2 years ago. And it's truth. Now is a really, really good time to be buying. If you are in a financial position to where you can buy some windows or you can buy that upgrade for your kitchen, you probably are going to find that, hey, you're going to get it done a little sooner than you had hoped and the prices are going to be decent. Basically, what I'm trying to say is now is a great great time to do some home improvements. Windows is a huge improvement to your home. If you're in the window market, now you're going to be in a position to where you're going to get a better price than you would if you were to possibly wait and the market starts to take off. Now is the time for sure. Pricing is going to be better. Now, we usually do primarily vinyl window replacements because most of the customers in this area really want a valuebased product that's not going to cost an arm and a leg, but is going to give them great warranties, great looks, value. So, what are windows going to cost you in 2025? Average things out. 10 windows in a door, $11 to $1,200 a window opening installed. And if you're looking at a patio door or a French door, patio doors, depending on the size, they can be anywhere from 3,200 up to 6,500. And French doors are double that. If you're looking at a 6 ft slider door, that's $3,600. You can guarantee that your French door in that same opening would be about $7,000ish or so. So that's what you're going to typically find. You're hovering in that area. So, whenever you're looking at these quotes, you're probably looking somewhere in that neighborhood. All righty. Anything extremely ballooned above that, be wary.
