We Underestimated Montreal's Old Port Waterfront!

Hello everyone. This is Ahmed Dhan and walking lady. Hi everyone. So we are in downtown Montreal which is the old part of Montreal and we are going to the waterfront area where I believe the what is called old port. Old port old port is located and uh you know the St. Lawrence River. Okay. So there should be there too. Yeah, there should be the St. Florence River and let's uh it should be like about 7 10 minutes walk. So let's walk there and see what we have. And it's supposed to be a very nice area to stroll and spend the evening. So we are here in Montreal for one night only staying in the Marriott in downtown Montreal and we just visited uh the old Montreal and went to the Nurmam Notredam Basilica Basilica and then we're recording this part. So let's continue our walk. So you can see it's Friday evening. A lot of people out. Yes. And uh you know we went to the uh like alley. Okay. And it looks like a Chinatown to us, right? And lots of people there, you know, especially now it's Friday. So that's why people most people are out and also the tourists. Yeah. So I thought, you know, I thought there were like less of people uh speaking French here because uh it's Montreal, right? Mhm. But I already saw I already talked to uh some people and they are talking English and we realized they are tourist. Yeah, that's true. That's so funny. Yeah, there's restaurant here. People are enjoying food and coffee. Yeah. Oh, I can I can feel it's changing. See, it's like changing because we're close to the river and I can feel that we're walking downhill. Is this the cobble street? Cobble street? Yeah. Looks Is this the same street we are walking or this is different? I Because we we went to the basilica, you know. So the basilica is just right there. Right there. Yes. No. Remember we had a street. Is this is not the same street, right? We had a street before like the Chinatown. Yeah. No, this is not that. No. Okay. So, I'm just wondering if you want to go here now or later. Oh, let's go to the waterfront. Okay. So, let's go go to waterfront first and we're coming here this street. And this will be another video because it's I think it's long cobblestone walk. Yeah. So this is one street we saw and then the other street we saw before. Uh that one we'll try to do walk two and you can see that people are enjoying outdoor nice outdoor patio. It looks like a Mexican restaurant we have here. Beautiful ambiencece. Oh yeah. Oh this is really beautiful. Look. I can see the waterfront here now. Oh that's fine. That's really nice. I'm wondering what is this one? Montreal Science Center. What's that? Science Center. Science Center. Oh, it's so shows the name in front science center. Okay. Is that our walk sign here? I see people crossing. Yeah. Yeah. Let's let's walk over. I don't see any walk. I don't know. It's a beautiful uh Friday evening. And this is a railroad crossing, but I'm not sure this it still works. Yeah. But, you know, by the way, the track looks it still looks like works. Yeah, maybe until the research and come here. Okay, so you got to cross here, but wait for the car. Wait, I see cars coming. Okay, so you're going to just wait and watch for the cars. So, I don't see any walk sign here. Guess we just followed some people and I think when it is safe to cross do so you know. Oh yeah. This area is nice. I like it. And this looks like an American Express patio. You can I I I am uh thinking now that our science center in Toronto the reason why it is in the waterfront also is like this. It will be like this. Oh, okay. Oh my god. Can you imagine? Yeah. Yeah. Because they they they will move it to the waterfront. Water to the Ontario place, right? Close to the water. Yeah. So, it look like this. Maybe we came here on a very good day, you know. It's very lots of people. Oh, I see like, you know, there's a like park or something. The drag uh crocodile dragons. This is like in a fall, you know, there is a zoo and then the the ferris wheel. Yeah. Oh, this is very exciting. Yep. Yeah. And uh it was like you know it has a very night lighting at night too.
