FIRST TIME HEARING | Taras & Improver | Change - In the House of Flies (Deftones Cover) | REACTION #musicreaction

Hi, I'm Brad and I'm John. We actually, from Taurus's video last week, we had a request out there, and I liked those, so I saw it and thought, yeah, basically, because it was another Taurus video, Taurus Stein and Improver, both at once, requested a duet, if you will, a beatboxing duet. The song is Change in the House of Flies, which is a Deftones song. I vaguely recognize the song, but I'm not sure. It's just Change. It's a Deftones song that was released in May of 2000 for a single of their third album called White Pony. Hearing a couple of bits of it from this, it actually sounds slightly familiar, so I'm thinking it's one of those, it's, you know, drifted around on social media and stuff, yeah. But anyway, Improver, otherwise known as Ivan Alexandrov, is a Russian beatboxer, obviously. He's the 2019 Russian Beatbox Solo Champion, 2020 Disco Vid Beatbox Battle Solo Champion, and the 2024 Hatton World Solo Beatbox Champion. Which compares with Taurus, also Russian, obviously. He won the Russian Beatbox Solo Championship in 2013 and 2018. So Improver won it the year after Taurus last won it, effectively. Yeah, hopefully you got all that. Yeah. I'll say I did. Yeah, they're quite good. It actually does sound a little bit familiar. It's amazing just how much more you can get done when you have a pair of beatboxers together. Obviously, Taurus, at this point, hanging in most of the vocal aspect. That could change. I don't know. I haven't watched the rest of it yet. But yeah, when you compare it to his solo ones, you can see just how much freer he is with the vocals. The parts he's doing, because on the solo ones, he'd be doing all of it. You have to work solo. Yeah. But you lose some of the lyrics, for example, because there's just no way you can do all the lyrics plus everything else. So yeah, when you have a partner in crime, you get so much more leeway. Do the vocals, more vocals, plus more beatboxing tricks. It could also have been a TV show, too. Well, it sounds familiar, but I can't tell you how the song goes, but just there again, their talent to be able to take a song and just do this. Yeah, change it and be able to do it like this. You're not just taking a song and just singing it. Or even just taking the existing music and maybe rearranging it. Yeah, it seems like this would be so much harder. Yeah, could be wrong. Could actually ask them and go, oh, this is so easy to do. Probably for them, it probably comes naturally from the talent they have doing it. I mean, I would assume it's like having the same Beat and stuff like that. It's like the regular. Yeah song does and that they're having to come up with Obviously the noises from their mouth Yeah, but good or use all the different beatbox sounds they have So yeah make an approximation. I would say of the music Cuz I'm gonna get one of them that AC DC That was Tyler's And you could definitely tell by it sounds as Megan that that's what yeah, it wasn't just something Yeah, it works occasionally Yeah, you could definitely, you know pick through the music Yeah, very different form. And yeah, I mean not knowing this song All that well. Yeah It's all it does sound out it sounds for us out from earlier So yeah, I think I've you know heard it. I want to know something. It's you've heard it. It's in your memory, but Actually, it reminds me a little bit of the From the crow first good one It was a cure song maybe it's kind of like a haunting song that kind of like Round through a lot of that movie parts of it reminds me of that Pick it up. Yeah, you know the song I'm talking about. I think so. No, they say that But that kind of like long sort of haunting tone in the song Yeah That's kind of what the song reminds me of a little bit I don't think that's what I'm thinking. Oh, yeah here it all right It that's that's at least their version of it here that it gave me that kind of feel Yeah, so it's kind of like yeah, I could I could imagine, you know, this song being in the movie such as the crow actually Probably we made that Recent look Here we make everything. I did it. I like Creative people in Hollywood anymore that knows how to come up with their own story Great stories of our generation Could just make a little sequel any They probably couldn't say don't create it, right? Anyway, yes In in a rant on Hollywood writers. Well, obviously, yeah That that was good. I mean definitely should do a lot more together like that because it there Yeah abilities. Yeah Well, I mean, yeah, we've seen it with Be the pillar house as well, right You know how much more complicated they they can do things because you know, there's no again multiple Yeah, four or five people.
