It's a sick tour. It's dying fetus cradle of filth Flesh God apocalypse, they will discard us Vomit forth quartz plow seven bands every night. It's insane. It's been amazing so far down to the last week Happy to be here running back with you all not much has changed in this van as you'll see Couple of small little tweaks here there. I mean I have hair now That's about it. But yeah, let's take you in the whip to see what's good latest edition Yeah, so this is one of the changes that we talked about We decided that this mirror was too good, and we just smashed the **** out of it Because you know we don't really need to see out of it anyway. Yeah, who needs to go left? I know we were playing a show in Toronto a couple nights ago, and we were in a sort of tricky parking situation And we curse doc where we're not the only ones that got a little bit nicked on the way out Yeah, and I won't say who I don't want to embarrass him, but a member of our band who plays the drums he Smashed this mirror, so we're doing doing the best of what we got right now It's honestly fine. It doesn't hit our ability to drive too much But this is one of the new upgrades to the van since the last time you get a lot of it all the different lights Flash in your eyes when you're driving. It's really nice. Yeah, and that's that's the outside Let's go check out the inside so this is the this is the flight deck This is where we spend me and Tommy spend most of our time. We typically split all the drives up between Tommy and myself and Matt our drummer And you know we it's as I discussed in the previous installment It's kind of a vibe based system, but I I feel like on this tour correct me if I'm wrong But I think we've regimented things out naturally. I think everyone's kind of got their preferred spots Alex is definitely a morning guy even though I'm not entirely sure I'm not I I definitely maximize. I'm a bed maxer But once I get behind the wheel I'm ready to go first thing in the morning for at least three four hours He knocks out a good chunk of it, and then by that time. We're usually in shot of city so Matt takes over He's the best with the trailer you can move it around anywhere and after the show everyone gets tired or Other states of mind, so I don't tend to do that. I just like to Get to the hotel or wherever we're staying and drive, so it's like you know probably Used to be way longer Yeah, we got a blocked up really tight right now. It's a good little system. We have going here, but yeah This is the van Not a lot has changed. That's gonna be the recurring theme in this episode Have things gotten better have they gotten worse. I don't know it's kind of up for the viewers discretion, but I'm that special Oh, yeah, half drink Water bottles that's classic right there. What else we got here. I think this one was mine got like one sip left There's some Popeye's we hit the Popeye's before this for the show one of the worst I've ever been yeah, it was not good This is our power inverter these plugs these outlets work the USB outlets do not Yes, that's like a cool little feature And all of our chargers except mats which he left here He's gonna ask about in probably an hour and 15 minutes Don't fit in these things because they're too wide so you can kind of only have is and another thing plugged in at the same So what I do is when I'm driving my big-ass wide charger I unplugged this and I plug it in and within minutes somebody is asking you why the power is not so that's cool Yeah, it's nice to have a little routine glasses wipes we got some dorks in our band No offense Present company excluded. This is a champagne gift or a cigar guillotine. I think yeah We bought some cigars little stokies for the end of the tour and people already smoke them Got some used tissues That's kind of a math special right there. Oh This okay. This is sick This is definitely a new edition. I don't know if Kyle wants to be showing this off, but I'll give a little backstory here We were so Kyle are or one of our guitarists He is a pipe aficionado. He loves smoking out of pipes Sort of fancies himself a little bit of a wizard and We had a running joke on our last tour that he should get a pipe Pelican Where he just had a dedicated space for all of his pipe stuff And I hope this guy give me anything bad in here when I open it up Yeah, so he keeps all his little pipes in a Pelican and I think that's very cool So that's great cause little pipes Yeah, shout out John This is a box of crunchy raisin bran, I think that's Matt's Yeah, it's got a bunch of junk in here Got a big Christ shopper bag full of snacks Jared's mom actually deliver that to us in Albany a shout out to Jared's mom What do we got here? We'll crack it open And I think on the last tour we ended up having enough to get something wasn't good like a Yeah Shit but yeah, um, that's what this is for. It's full of loose change right now. I see a $5 bill in here, too We're on the right track Is there anything else of note up here I got my Yankees hat Currently number one in the AL East. We'll see how long that lasts Because if anyone pulls us over We have a pretty antagonistic relationship off the bat, yep, not thrilled about it, but that's where it is This says upstate in graffiti letters, it's kind of cool. Smith the editor of the high-fidelity magazine says Ravel man a musician is the first book to set the composers entire In its proper perspective a staggeringly well-documented opus it cannot be matched for the invaluable particulars it provides so That sounds like a great book Anything else up here Tommy this is a little skull these cheeses have been here for weeks. So like for example Matt on this tour is doing Neil Young. So he's listening to every Neil Young album from start to finish He's not gonna finish There's like gotta be upwards of 50 records And I think he's passed all of them you shout to Neil Young He's watching but all of the all of the old stuff is great And then it takes a nosedive and I think it gets sort of good again in the early 90s So we do that. I did blind guardian on this tour classic seminal German power metal band Yeah, I started tool yesterday I hit the opiate EP still bangs I got I think I got undertow tomorrow looking forward to that Shout out to the song Disgustipated It's a great record. So yeah, we do that I listen to a lot of discographies of bands and then besides that, you know, it's just it's the mood If it's an early really early morning drive, I'll just throw on like some Japanese city pop type stuff You know, maybe some some jazz some really easy listening stuff some lo-fi hip-hop type ---- Yeah, we just just depends on on the vibe on the overall feeling And then also this is an ocarina That's about it well You made it Didn't see you there. This bench was not here There was a camping mat laid down that we called the chill zone And I want to call out some bands here because that was the one up and then I saw some bands starting to refer to The Arizona's the chill zone. Just don't forget who originated this term. It was boys. All right, where you came from? Yeah, don't forget your roots other bands No more chill zone though, we got the front bench back in and the reason we did that it's because This wouldn't fit in Matt's basement Number two is on this tour We are not rolling with a sound guy. We're not rolling with a merch guy It's just the five of us and there's myriad factors as to why we did that But ultimately what it came down to is we just didn't really feel like we needed it It's great having those things, you know those guys you love John love a Zach love everybody who's worked with us I'm sure we'll have them back in the fold at some point. I hope so but for this one We just wanted to try it out and just see if we could do a four and a half week long extensive u.s tour just us and You know, we saw when we tour with cool icon. We saw that they did it They just have one guy with them and then it was just the band running everything and I thought that was great So that was very inspiring. So we're giving it a shot and I think it's working out very well so far But yeah lots more space in the van for that reason More the same really in the front it's just different types of food and dust. I'm sure he's watching and He sold me this on the streets of Quebec or Montreal And I just met up with him right outside the venue right after I was eating lunch and came to the trailer and I was What do you got and gave me these little baggies I'm sure it looks very suspicious when we're just like putting this on cars little bits little heads Later, so these aren't somehow going to survive until I go home in about eight days. There you go So you might remember the puke blanket It's still here Has not been washed probably since the last installment of digital tour of us featuring on death But it still keeps me warm every night. And I think all the same pillows are in here too. They were for something now So we did have them over there before when there was more people we would just and we also had a carabiners Yeah, it would connect Backpacks to those and just kind of hang them that way they're not on the floor Like you see they probably are right now Usually they are. This is the cleanest the van has been in quite some time. I don't know where I put my stuff. Yeah, so But otherwise, it's just I think confidence is glasses here sometimes. Yep. But this is the trunk This is my sleeping mat that I sleep on most nights because I'm kind of a fussy sleeper And I don't really want to share a bed with anybody unless they're like my wife. So And I toss and turn and snore so I don't want to disturb anybody. I kind of just need my space. We did just break a lock two days ago I'm kind of a mess right now because we're loaded in and everything is This is it, I mean we typically try to keep merch on that wall These are our head cases. This is my clothes hanger that I'll hang my sweaty disgusting state shirt on at the end of the night Somebody's suitcase. That's a kick-pedal thing. We only diamonds everything Kyle me or Matt. I think this chair is doing merch these days and you're grabbing some Yeah, so one of us will be in here and just like get handed something and then throw it in Kyle If you smoke in his place, he'll just be out here hanging out and grabbing it Yeah, I am the shortest one so I can just fit in pretty easily Matt will hit his head several times every time he's Fuck Yeah, so when we did it last saw you guys we were out with a band from Richmond called enforced and They did something that I thought was so great where they had it's so simple I don't know why I never thought of it They have folding chairs and like camping chairs and they brought them to every venue and then when it was a nice day I like today they would just throw them down and cracks and beers and hang out and it's like Sitting in a stuffy green room.
