It is unbelievably impressive to watch Nathan tear up singletrack trails on his KTM 790 Adventure. Riding a big adventure bike on single track trails is not easy, but Nathan makes it look so effortless and I could hardly keep up with him, even on my Suzuki DRZ400S. He's an amazingly impressive rider. Trail riding on these street legal motorcycles is always a blast, and we had a great time exploring some of the cliffside single track offerings at Shotgun Creek OHV area near Marcola, Oregon. Along the way, Nathan also took a moment out to give us a quick Tusk D Sport tire review and his impressions after using them for a while in the mud and gravel on his big KTM Adventure bike. This was an amazing day of dual sport and adventure bike off road riding, exploring, trail riding, and just having an all around amazing time ripping through the forest on our motorcycles.
Oh sliding sideways through this muddy stuff is fun. That takes you, you know, off a cliff if you miss.
That stick was right up in my business. I'm good. I'm just stupid.
Previously on Lost. I'm feeling pretty good about this.
So don't ride up there, build a campfire, sleep next to it while taking a dump and shooting a gun.
And now the conclusion. So this is Nathan. He's awesome. He's a great rider.
Great video maker. Really cool. Genuinely nice guy. So if you haven't supported his channel and gone
and subscribed to For the Love of Knobs, man you really should. I would highly appreciate it.
Highly recommended. He and his wife Chris are fantastic people. Interesting.
They found it. No one left.
Oh sliding sideways through this muddy stuff is fun.
And I'm losing my... Muddy. Let him go.
He's not stopping to take in the view. I'll tell you that much.
This is a legit downhill. Legit. Look at him slide it.
Yeah with a crazy turn at the bottom that takes you, you know, off a cliff if you miss.
No big deal. Just really impressive riding on Nathan's Park.
Yeah here's our viewpoint. Looks good right now.
Very good. Very fun. Yeah I mean so we could... It loops back around. If you want we can go
down and we'll take a right and the trail's on the right. You just got to watch for it and it
loops back to where we were. That T-junction. While I'm thinking about it I have you on camera.
So you're rocking the D-sports. The Tusk D-sports. And we just went through a bunch of muddy stuff.
Right? We hit some mud today. So how do you feel? How are they doing? These are fantastic tires.
A little bit worried about the longevity with the big heavy bike. Yeah. I mean that remains to be
seen but the tires themselves on all the mud and rocks and everything we've been doing have been
hooking up great. And in fact honestly I've never ridden this bike on any of that technical stuff
and felt like I could hook up before. So these tires are awesome. Yeah that is a that is a
ringing endorsement. I get a lot of questions about these in particular so I wanted to pick
your brain while I had you. Want to find that other section? And then we could, if you want,
we can just do the whole loop back around. Yeah. That stick was right. Oh there he goes.
Go right.
Very short little up. There he goes. There he goes. Getting some mud. Not going to happen with that thing.
Spin it. Spin the tire. Muddy sections. Sliding sideways. It's funny how much it slows you down.
And I'm sure you can't, it's not doing it justice, but this is a serious downhill. You see him
sliding sideways at the bottom of it. And this cliff on the left is no joke.
So I get to about here and it's not too bad. Hell yeah buddy. You did it. Crushing it.
Oh look at that. That's impressive what I just did. Look I somehow managed to get
sideways on the trail with this stump right under my bike. I'm good. I'm just stupid.
Did I lose him? I'm good. Okay. I'm just stupid.
Wow. How the hell?
You found the stump. Got the ass ahead of me.
Nice. Do you want a hand? Yeah I'm not really sure what the best way to get the front boy in
the right direction is. You could pivot it like that. You got it. Like that. I got it. I gotta
see what that looks like. Pretty silly. I like that you're using the stump as a ladder there.
Why not? There we go. There we go.
Sorry Nathan. Thanks for stopping.
Still frosty up here man.
I don't remember where this road comes out.
This is where we stopped earlier. All the clouds. Pretty, pretty, pretty gorgeous now.
Now you can't see the mountains as well. It's a little different this time of day.
This bodes well for that other spot. We should go check it. Good spot to fly the drone.
Really cool.
This guy. This guy.
please don't forget to go check out Nathan's channel for the love of knobs.
Go give him a subscribe and tell him Dork sent you. That would be super funny to me.

Thanks for coming down to my neck of the woods. At some point, I promise I will come to your neck of
the woods and we can explore all the areas, but great riding with you. So we're going to part
ways here. I'm going to head to back roads and Nathan is going to head to the freeway because
he's going to go all the way back to Portland. That's how far he rode to ride with me.
I feel honored and a little guilty, but for now, and as always, I just want to say,
thank you very much for watching and please do not forget to be excellent to each other. Thank you.
Excellent!
Fun times.
Wouldn't be a Dork in the Road video if I didn't stop and do something dangerous and
potentially hurt myself after the videos already.
