Truth exists

Welcome to Gospel Truth with Andrew Womack, a teaching ministry that focuses on God's
unconditional love and grace.
He's helped me to transform, to be transformed into the image of God, which is God's purpose
for my life.
I have the faith now to be able to stand through anything that I go through.
I know that I'm going to come out victorious on the other side because of what I've learned
through this ministry.
And now, here's Andrew.
Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.
Today I'm into my second week, nearly through with my second week of teaching on a subject
entitled, What is Truth?
And I tell you, this is really powerful.
It was taken from John chapter 18, verse 38, where Jesus had just said in the 37th verse
that he came into the world to bear witness to the truth and that all people who are of
the truth will come to him.
And Pilate said, what is truth?
And this is where so many people are today.
They don't believe that you can know absolute truth.
They believe that it's fluid, that it's relative to the situation.
You'll hear people say, well, that's your truth, but that's not my truth.
And that is just absolutely ridiculous.
Truth is truth.
Truth is fact.
And fact doesn't fluctuate.
I don't care how you feel.
I don't care if you feel like a woman today.
If you were born a man, you're still a man.
That's just fact.
And yet there's people that are even changing things about their sex.
They're saying that God made a mistake.
It really goes back to, you know, God made them Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
And when a person comes back and says, oh no, I'm a woman trapped in a man's body or
whatever, you are coming against God.
You are coming against what?
He said you're coming against truth.
Everything if you just peel back the layers, it all comes down to this one thing.
So I've already covered a lot of material on this.
If you've missed any of this, I encourage you to please get the teaching that we're
already offering this on what is truth.
And I've got the biblical worldview and I've got a conference from Orlando that we're offering.
I encourage you to please get this.
You need to get established in these things.
One of the points that I made is John chapter eight, verse 44, where Jesus said that Satan
is a liar and the father of all lies.
There is no truth in the devil.
He can only operate in falsehood.
He's like a fungus.
Fungus can only grow in the dark.
You expose it to the light and it just dies.
You expose Satan and his lies to truth and truth will win out every time.
But the problem is people aren't speaking the truth.
Even Christians.
I mean, we can't expect the unbelievers to speak the truth, but Christians should be
speaking the truth and yet they've been cowed into submission and they're afraid that they're
going to offend somebody.
Again, you can go back to those very verses that we've already dealt with.
John chapter eight, verse 44, where Jesus said, you are of your father, the devil.
Don't you think that that offended somebody?
Matter of fact, the disciples came to Jesus and said, don't you know that they were offended
because of these things that you said?
And Jesus said, leave them alone.
Let the blind lead the blind.
They'll both fall into the ditch.
Jesus didn't go out of his way to offend people.
He didn't do it just for the sake of offending them, but he spoke the truth.
And if the truth offended people, well, then they need to be offended.
I know some of the things I'm saying.
This is not according to our politically correct world.
And some of you are just cringing at the things that I'm saying, but that's because you have
bought into the lies.
You have believed the lies of the devil.
I'm telling you, we got to speak the truth.
It's the truth that sets people free.
John eight 32, and it's only the truth you know that sets you free.
I was using this parable from Mark chapter four, verse 28, where the earth bringeth forth
fruit of herself.
The Greek word there of herself is talking about a Tomatoes.
That's the Greek word.
And it means automatically.
And notice the phrase here.
It says brings forth fruit of herself.
It puts the feminine to it.
And the word of God is called the seed.
First Peter chapter one, verse 23.
It says being born again, not a corruptible seed, but an incorruptible seed by the word
of God that lives and abides forever.
It calls the word of God, a seed and the earth or our heart is herself.
It's the feminine.
So here you've got the masculine, the seed and the earth, the feminine, and you put them
together and you get the miraculous results.
I think that that's really significant.
And I made a big point yesterday out of talking about that.
The earth brings forth fruit of herself.
So the seed actually activates what's in the ground and the ground of herself brings forth
the fruit.
But the ground is impotent without the seed.
The word of God, the truth is the seed.
When you take the truth of God's word and you put it in your heart is when you see this
miraculous thing take place.
You know, they've taken seeds out of the Pharaoh's tomb.
They've been there for 4,000 years and they've taken those seeds, but they were in some kind
of a container.
They weren't in the earth and they were just sitting there and they take these seeds after
laying dormant for 4,000 years.
They put them in the earth and those seeds sprouted and brought forth wheat.
The seed still had that miraculous power in there, but it had to have that combination
of the earth.
It's the earth that actually produces the fruit.
The seed just activates what's in the ground.
You're born again spirit is where all of the power of God lies.
But the word of God is the catalyst, the seed that unlocks what's in your heart.
And you have to take the truth of God's word and plant it in your heart.
And notice in this 28th verse, it goes on to say that it produces first the blade and
then the ear and then the full corn in the ear.
Now this is really significant because it shows that there's growth.
There's a process that's involved.
You don't go from zero to a hundred miles an hour instantly.
If you do that, that's not a wreck.
I mean, that's not acceleration.
That's a wreck.
It'll kill you to go from zero to a hundred in one second.
But did you know what?
You start off and you accelerate.
First there's a blade, then there's the ear and then the full corn in the ear.
It's the same thing in the spiritual realm.
People don't go from having never produced fruit, having never had this truth of God's
word sewn in their heart.
You don't go from that to just a hundred fold return instantly.
You know, I've been a Christian for 64 years, but I've been serving God and seeking God
with my whole heart for 54 years.
And I've been taking this seed and planted it in my heart.
And because of that, now I see prosperity.
I see healing.
I see joy.
I see peace.
I see a lot of things that are producing fruit in my life.
And I'm experiencing some great things, not everything that I'm supposed to, but I'm experiencing
a lot of miraculous results.
And some people will see me and they think, well, it's God.
It's not you.
And that's all true.
And then they'll say, well, if God did it for you, he'll do it for me.
And they just expect to see this exact same results that I've got after 54 years of seeking
God with my whole heart.
They expect to see it in 54 minutes and they get disappointed and they say, well, the word
doesn't work.
No, it works, but it's first a blade.
Then it's the ear and then it's the full corn in the ear.
You know, I've told this before, but I had a man come into my Bible school and he had
been in mental institutions most of his life.
He was 40 something years old and he was a nice guy.
I liked him, but he just had no social skills.
He had just been raised in an institution and kind of locked away.
And I just took him as a personal project and wanted to see him prosper.
So I had him come into my office and after school, I started studying through the book
of Proverbs with him.
And Proverbs chapter one says that the reason that Proverbs was written was to give subtlety
to the simple, understanding to the simple.
And so I just started teaching him what the word says.
And anyway, he got inspired and he went and found this old building in Manitou Springs,
Colorado.
It's now called the Cliff House.
It was a hotel that was built in the 1800s.
It was a stone building, had probably a hundred rooms in it and it had burned.
And it was just laying there derelict.
And he went out and found out how much they were asking for it, how much it would cost
to renovate it and put it back to where you could use it.
And then he was going to use it as student housing, figured out how much he could charge
every student and how many rooms there were, how much the payments would be, how much the
income would be.
And he had it all put together.
And it was really quite a bit of work that he did.
And he came and presented it to me and he says, I believe that this is what God is telling
me to do.
What do you think of this?
And I looked at it and I complimented him for his effort.
I complimented him that he was dreaming.
But I said, I can guarantee you this is not God's will for your life.
And he was really disappointed.
It's just like I popped his bubble.
I mean, it deflated him.
And he looked at me and he says, why would you say something like that?
And I took this exact verse right here, that there's first the blade, then the ear, then
the full corn in the ear.
And I told him, I said, Jerry, I love you, but you've grown up in a mental institution.
You've never worked a job in your entire life.
You've had the government or your family pay for you, pay for your food, pay for your clothes,
pay for everything.
You've never worked a job.
You have never earned a dollar in your life.
And yet you're talking about a multimillion dollar, $5 million project when you have yet
to earn a dollar.
I said, that's not the way that it works.
You go out and get a job and you start paying your own way and you start buying your own
food and you start buying your own gas and you go get a vehicle and you start paying
for your own rent and you do those things.
And then you come back and present me with this.
And maybe I would agree that this is God.
But I said, you don't go from never having seen anything provided into just jumping into
this multimillion dollar deal.
And he was disappointed over it.
But I'm telling you, this is something that I've learned.
I've learned it in my life that I don't go from where I am just to seeing the total fulfillment
overnight.
I've learned how to pace myself.
I've learned that you have first a blade and then the ear and then the full corn.
There's always steps.
When the Lord shows me something now that I'm supposed to accomplish, I don't only look
at the end result, but I'll look and then I'll say, all right, Father, what's my first
step towards that?
What can I do?
You know, when we bought this property that we occupy in Woodland Park, Colorado, and
the Lord told me to start building a Keres Bible College campus.
Did you know the first step was I said, well, there's no way I can do this if I don't have
any plans.
And so what do I want the buildings to look like?
So I spent a year and a half with an architect just talking back and forth and I drew things
on a napkin and then he would come and make it look better.
And I'd say, well, yeah, that's pretty much what I want.
But we had to start the process before I could build the buildings.
I had to have the building plans and I had to go get the permits and we had steps.
And I started taking those little baby steps towards this goal.
You know, if you don't know exactly how to get to where you're supposed to go, well,
then just start moving in that direction.
And if you aren't completely sure, move slowly.
It's like a boat.
If you had a little boat with a motor on it, you know, if you sit still, you can turn the
rudder on a boat 360 degrees and it doesn't give any direction to that boat if it's sitting
still.
But you start moving in a direction, even if it's slowly.
Did you know that rudder will steer that boat and turn it?
And you can see.
And this is the way that it is.
I've just learned that when God speaks something to me, I not only look at the end result,
but I say, all right, what's the blade in the ear and then the full corn in the ear?
What is the growth process?
How do I get from where I am to where God wants me to go?
I tell you, if you're listening, I'm speaking to somebody here today, and there are some
of you that you feel like God has told you to do certain things.
You know a direction that he wants you to go, and you are trying to eat this whole elephant
all at one bite.
You'll choke on the thing.
But if you cut it up into little tiny bites, you can eat an elephant a bite at a time if
you take it that way.
This is a great truth right here, that there is first a blade, then the ear, and then the
full corn in the ear.
There's a growth process.
And if you try and avoid the growth process, you're going to miss out on things.
You know, I had a friend of mine come, and he came to our Keres Bible College, and he
wanted to start a Bible college in his church.
So he came, and he sat in, and after being here for a while, he just felt like God told
him to start a Bible school in his church.
And so he sent me a questionnaire, and this questionnaire was five pages long.
I let the staff answer the first four pages of questions, you know, that just were technical
things.
But then the last question was, if you had it to do all over again, what would you do
differently?
And I thought about that a long time.
And I tell you, our Keres Bible College now is vastly different than it was in the beginning.
And so there's a lot of things now that are better than when we started 27 years ago.
And so there's things I'd have done differently.
But with the resources that I had, with the people that I had, with the experience that
I had, I did the very best I could possibly do.
And if I had it to do over again with the same limitations of resources, money, personnel,
things like that, I wouldn't have done anything differently.
You've just got to start.
And then as you start, recognize that there's going to be growth.
But if I would have waited until I had everything right and everything perfect with the Bible
school, we'd have never gotten started.
And you know, I still deal with this all the time.
I have people come in and they want to do something and they have these great goals.
And I agree with where they're wanting to go.
But they're wanting to do it all at one time.
And they don't see this about a blade in the ear and then the full corn in the ear.
They don't have steps and stages.
They're just wanting to do it all at once.
And nine out of 10 times when you try and do something like that, it's going to wind
up in a disaster.
You just have to start where you are, do the very best you can where you are and recognize
there is growth in this process.
Man, that's powerful.
That is really powerful.
And so this is one of the things I learned here about how the seed, how the truth works.
You take the truth that you know and you operate on it to the best of your ability.
And when you do that, it's just like these verses right here says, he that hath to him
shall be given more.
And he that hath not from him shall be taken away even that which he has.
If you will just operate on the truth that you know and do what you know to do, then
God will reveal more truth to you.
You know, I think part of this, and again, I'm just supposing here, but I think part
of the reason that God does things this way is because if say, for instance, he had 10
major things that he wants you to do, rather than reveal all 10 to you and make you liable
for all 10 of these things that he's telling you to do, he'll just reveal one thing to
you.
And if you act on that, then he'll show you number two and you act on that, he'll give
you number three.
But instead of giving you all 10 of these, it just makes you accountable, that much more
accountable to him for what he's revealed.
He'll reveal things to you step by step.
And if you don't take step number one, you'll never get the revelation of two through 10.
And it's really because he loves you.
If you aren't willing to do that, which is least, he won't give you more.
But if you will act on what you have, he will increase it and he will show you more.
And so it comes just like you see a seed grow and it doesn't produce a full grown tree or
a full grown plant all at one time, it grows.
It takes time.
It takes time for the seed, for the truth of God's word to work in your heart.
And this is where so many people miss it because they just don't have any patience.
They aren't willing to wait.
There are people that'll say, they'll watch this program and they'll say, all right, God,
they'll pray a quick prayer.
You've got 10 minutes before I have to leave for the office.
And if you speak something to me and change my life, well then praise God.
But if not, you got other things to do.
More important things to do.
You got 10 minutes before your favorite show comes on the television and you're going to
give him 10 minutes if he can totally change your life.
And if not, then you'll go watch as the stomach turns on television.
I'm telling you, that's not the way that it works.
You have to be patient.
You have to let the seed take root on the inside of you.
And if you give it time, it will just bring forth fruit of herself automatically.
Man, that's powerful.
I tell you, the Word of God is so powerful and people just underestimate it.
It was 54 years ago that the Lord changed my life.
And it was about 52 years ago when I just committed myself to studying the Word day
and night.
And I can truthfully tell you that there are miraculous things that have taken place in
my life, not because of my great intellect, not because of my great abilities, but because
of God's Word.
I've sown it in my heart and it has produced.
I can truthfully say that any good thing that God has done in my life, it's come because
of the truth of God's Word.
God's Word is truth.
It's absolute truth.
It doesn't change truth.
It's truth and it's going to stay the same.
And the only reason it's not releasing its power in your life is because it's not been
sown in your heart and mixed with faith.
If you will take the Word of God and mix it with faith and begin to start letting God's
Word dominate, like it says in Romans 3, 4, let God be true and every man a liar.
Let God be true and let the news be a lie.
Let God be true and let your critics be a lie.
Let God be true.
And even let your own thoughts be a lie.
But if you will get to where you exalt the Word of God and put it first place in your
life, I can guarantee you this seed, this incorruptible seed will produce miraculous
results in your life.
It really is this simple.
It's not necessarily easy.
It's hard to unplug from this world.
When all of your friends are talking about, did you see what was on American Idol last
night?
Do you know this?
Have you tried this?
And they'll constantly be trying to draw you into their world and to unplug to where you
aren't listening to all of the sewage of the world on a daily basis and you are sticking
your nose in the Word of God.
It's not necessarily easy, but it's simple.
It's as simple as what I'm talking about.
You put God's Word first place in your life and it's the nature of that seed and it's
the nature of your heart to take that seed and just release this life-giving power and
it will literally transform your life.
I know that there's some people watching this program that you've been praying and saying,
God, what do I do?
How do I get from where I am to where I'm supposed to be?
How do I get healed?
How do I get prosperous?
How do I get relationships to work?
How do I find out what your will for my life is?
And on and on you could go and some of you have been praying for these things and you
may not fully recognize it, but this program is giving you the answer.
The answer is you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
God's Word is truth.
Take this truth and begin to exalt it over every other voice, over any other voice.
Get to where this is authority in your life.
You are going to do what God's Word says and I can promise you from personal experience,
I can promise you from the promises of God's Word that you put God's Word first like that
and I guarantee it will release the supernatural into your life.
You'll begin to see miraculous results.
I guarantee it.
I don't believe that there's any person watching this that if you were to take my challenge
and just make God's Word number one in your life, I don't think any of you would come
to me and say that you regret doing it.
It would transform your life.
