Hey, what's going on everybody? We're
back with our BKFC Reddit Ask Me
Anything. We're joined by the fighting
doctor herself, Dr. Sarah TNT Shell. How
are you doing? I'm doing great. Thanks
for having me. You know, you got those
dynamite in those hands. Like, I was at
your last fight and I'm a good friend of
Crystal and I felt bad watching you land
some of I I like both you women, but you
were landing some hard shots on her. You
definitely have power in those hands.
Yeah, I've I've uh I've always had power
in my hands and um yeah, I've always
I've always been comfortable in my
standup and and um I've I've always said
like even in in MMA uh my opponents
their their goals were always to to take
me down. But uh now in in in bare
knuckle uh there there's no choice
there's there's no choice. My my
opponents got to stand with me and um
that that that's where I like it. I I I
love to stand and bang. Okay. You're
going to be fighting out there in uh
Nebraska again. I had heard there was
talks of an Arizona card. Did you hear
about a potential Arizona card? Yeah, I
I was actually told that uh January um
was was when it was um going to be uh it
was a tentative date for that, but uh I
guess it just never um never never got
cleared and and um so so yeah, I I I was
uh prepared for a fight back in January
and um you know, here here we are now.
And so um yeah, I'm I'm just excited
excited to get in there. But, uh, yeah,
hopefully one time I'll be able to, um,
you know, fight in in Phoenix. Uh, it'd
be great to do hometown, but, uh, Omaha,
you know, really is kind of like my
second home. That's that's where I I
started my MMA career and and did my
undergrad. And so, um, you know, it it
is, uh, kind of like my second home for
for fighting.
Okay. So, it's kind of funny because I
had saw a post and they they had you
fighting Jamie Henshaw and then within
moments that was ripped down and they
had switched out your opponent. Was
Jamie Henshaw potentially opponent? Like
what what happened? Like did BKFC kind
of drop the ball and put the wrong photo
up? Like what happened? Yeah. You know,
I'm I'm I'm actually not not sure what
what happened. Um you know, with that
initially Jamie had said yes and and we
even I mean I even signed the contract
to to fight Jamie and then um you know,
all of a sudden um you know, I'm not
sure what happened. Um, and so, um, I
guess BKFC even even got confused
because, um, you know, there was a
another, um, person, I think Natalie
Gage, uh, was was another one that I had
signed a contract for as well, too. And
then all all of a sudden that came out
as well too or, uh, got cancelled as as
well too for, for whatever reason. Um
and so yeah, I think I think there was
just so many people that um you know,
potential opponents that um you know,
even BKFC got confused and and so um
yeah, so they they had posted uh um you
know, a picture of me and Jamie um that
um uh yeah, it it just uh for for
whatever reason they just they
accidentally posted it. But um uh yeah,
that fight to me made a lot of sense.
The current number one versus former
number one, I thought it was going to be
a beautiful fight. Uh, your next
opponent, she seems like a tough girl.
She stepped in. There's a lot of women
that said no to you. She said yes. So,
I'm actually like I'm I'm a big time um
a fan of that. Like, you know, you got
to fight. People need to fight. You're
in the business of fighting. And it's so
weird to be like, yes, I'll fight, but I
only want to fight this person. So, like
I props to her for stepping up. Exactly.
No, I I'm I'm hu huge respect to this
this this uh lady and she she she's very
tough and and um yeah, I mean uh you
know there the the the the matchmaker
BKFC matchmaker called it musical
chairs. There there were women who um
you know were saying yes and then you
know for whatever reason it didn't work
out. But there was a number of um people
who just um for whatever reason uh you
know just just didn't didn't work out.
And so, yeah, prop props to this lady
for for stepping up. Um, and um yeah, it
it it's going to be fun. It's going to
it's it's going to be a um a fight a
fight that uh you know, you don't want
to miss on Friday.
Okay, so we just saw Britain versus Tai.
Britain looked I mean, they they both
did really well. I thought I thought Tai
won the first two rounds and Britain won
the last three. Both women looked like
they had been through a war. Did that
fight play out how you thought it was
going to?
Um, yeah, pretty pretty much. Yeah, I
mean, uh, Britain's amazing. I mean,
Brit Britain's Britain's really
technical and,
um, yeah, I mean, um, I mean, yeah, prop
props to Tai. I think Tai is is really
good, but um, yeah, I mean, you know,
Brin Britain's just at at a at another
level and and, um, yeah, she she she's
very technical and, um, yeah, I mean, I
I I think I think yeah, it absolutely
played out how, um, how I I I I expected
it to be. I I expected Tai to have kind
of just a you know a puncher's chance.
Um and um you know she she just didn't
didn't uh didn't didn't get that that
power and and and yeah, Britain Britain
Britain looked amazing. Britain Britain
looks amazing in all her fights. Okay,
so you are clearly the number one right
now. If you win this fight, did you talk
to Jules? If this if you win, are you
guaranteed a title shot or like what
what's what's the story? You know what?
I'm I'm I'm not sure. You know, I'm I'm
I'm willing to fight whoever they put in
front of me. Um, you know, I I was
hoping for this fight to be one of the
top five girls. Um, and and you know
what, we we went down the list of all
the top five people and and and people
were saying yes and then it didn't work
out. I think the only person on the top
five list that we didn't ask was was
Taylor because, you know, they didn't
have the funding um for Taylor, but
everyone else on top five either had
said yes and then backed out um and and
and so yeah, no, I I would have I would
have preferred a um you know, a top five
person.
Um, you know, because I'm I'm I I I I am
ready to to move up and and I want that
challenge. I I I don't I I I don't want
easy fights. I Sorry, there's there's
You're fine. But yeah, you know, I I
don't want easy fights. I I I don't want
anything handed to me and and I love the
challenge and I'm I'm here to get better
and and I want the hard fights and so um
you know, I'm I'm ready for whatever
they put in front of me. And um you
know, I I I love to fight. So I'm I'm
I'm I'm game with whatever. um you know
they put in front of me. So we have a
couple other doctors on the Reddit and
one of them reached out and said they
want to commend you for being there's so
many doctors who are overweight and
prescribed drugs and and pills and this
and that. They said you're a woman who
leads by example. You're a great role
model for other doctors and you're what
do other doctors should be. Get fit, you
know, help help your patients get fit.
So they just wanted to give you like a
huge shout out and say thank you.
Awesome. Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean I I I
love
uh I mean I I I love leading by example
and um yeah, you know, I I it doesn't
feel right for me to be giving fitness
advice and lifestyle advice if I'm not,
you know, doing it myself. And so um
yeah, it it it all um it all
complements, you know, um you know,
every everything that I do. Um and yeah,
I mean I I I love what I do. I I was
born to fight. I I I'm I'm moved to the
States for fighting. And so, um, you
know, I'm I'm I'm a fighter above all.
And, um, yeah, it's just it's just
interesting how my my life is all coming
together. And, um, yeah, I mean, I I,
you know, you got to you got to walk the
talk, right? For for a physician to have
the the most, um, you know, influence
and and positive, you know, influence to
your patients, you you you gota you got
to walk the talk.
I forgot you're from Canada, right? like
I
[Applause]
sorry there's like a motorcycle dude.
Yeah, he he wants to be on the show.
Are are you from Canada? Is that I think
what I remember from my last Yeah. So So
yeah, I'm from I'm from Vancouver,
Canada. Um so yeah, Canadian and um
yeah, I move I moved to the States uh
when I was 21 years old. So gosh, like
15 16 years ago. And I I moved on a
student visa and and yeah, the reason I
moved to the States was to pursue
fighting. everything was, you know,
bigger in the states and and um there's
a lot more female competitors and so,
you know, ultimately I moved to the
states on a student visa and and I chose
the the path of a physician because it
would afford me the longest time in the
states. Um so that that's ultimately,
you know, you know, chose chose my
program. it was just, you know, to
become a doctor, you know, that's going
to, you know, keep me in the States for
the longest time. And and um, you know,
allow me to fight and, um, so so, so
yeah, I'm I'm I'm just um I'm just
continuing the the same goal that I've
had, you know, 10 15 years ago.
Have you been proposed? I mean, we saw
you fight on the last Omaha card. That
was almost not quite a year ago, but I
mean, we want to see you more active.
Have you been proposed any other fights
other than the the potential one in
Arizona? like what what why haven't we
seen you?
You know what? Um I don't know. I um I
I' I've uh you know, always always made
it known that I'm ready. Um and so maybe
just um you know, maybe they're they're
just trying to build the division
appropriately. Um but um yeah, I I I I
guess I can't speak on that, but um I'm
I'm always ready and I've always made it
known that I'm ready. Okay. So, I'm
going to ask you a tricky question and I
don't want to trip you up, but you have
Misfit who is absolutely anti-On Only
Fans and then you have like, you know,
Taylor and Jessica and those guys who
love Only Fans.
Where do you stand on it? Like, are you
think I mean, you're a doctor, so I
don't see you doing Only Fans, but are
you like one of those like, hey, make
money however you want? Because I mean,
like, you are you guys kind of are
limited on fights right now, but then
like I said, you also have Misfit who
just absolutely hates it. What What's
your take? You know what? Um, you know,
I I you know, I I don't have anything
against Only Fans, but um, you know, uh,
you female fighters, we we have a a you
know, a really big platform and and
there's a a lot of, you know, young
young people looking, you know, up up to
us and, um, I just think it's a shame
for female fighters to give credit to
Only Fans as, you know, their their, you
know, secret to success or um, you know,
I I I just think I think it's a shame
you know, it's um you know, it's
ultimately virtual sex working and sex
workers and and uh you know, we live in
an age where it's um it's it's it's it's
freely um you know, practice and and
supported and um yeah, I I I just think
that
um I think ultimately it's it's uh you
know, taking advantage of of of women
and and and just mental health issues. I
I I don't see any other way of of of
putting it. I think it's um exploiting
women and their mental health issues. Um
and and yeah, it's it's it's certainly
not something that you'll you'll find me
on. And um yeah, it's it's uh you know,
I hate to come across as judging because
that's that's not what it is. I I I just
want women and and and of course my
children to to be confident in
themselves and never feel like you have
to sell yourself um or or ever ever lose
any of your integrity um to to you know
to to survive or you know, build this
dream. I I just feel like if if if you
have to lose your integrity then then
you know may maybe fighting isn't for
you there. There's there's plenty of
other jobs and things that we can do and
um yeah that that's just my take on it.
It's kind of crazy that you got men on
there and they post their training
sessions and stuff like that and then
you have the women but it's more like
hey these are photos of me. I wish I
wish there was more fight. Like I talked
to Sydney Smith and you know she's like
oh you know she's super religious and I
was like well why don't you get on and
just do crochet. I was like, you don't
have to, you know, show, you know, the I
I feel like if more women were like,
hey, we're going to get on and do like
our training and stuff and maybe make it
more that I I'm I'm I'm pro that that
that's true. I mean, I I think I think
uh I've even read like like Cyborg, you
know, she does that as well, too. So,
you know, yeah, there's there's um you
know, pe people have different
boundaries that they do, but um yeah,
it's just it's just um it's a it's a
gray area, I guess, you know, but um you
know, obviously it it is uh virtual sex
worker sex, you know, um you know,
working is is is what is what what is
what Only Fans is. And so, um yeah, it's
just
um yeah, I guess I I I guess um you
know, it's to me it's sad. It's
heartbreaking. You know, I I want to I
want to support women and I want women
to feel strong and confident. Um and and
um yeah, I just feel like it's
exploiting women and their mental health
issues.
I'm ready to see you outside of home.
Like, listen, I love I love that I can
go watch you. It's a nine-hour drive.
I'm going to be coming down. I'm excited
to see you, but I'm ready to see you
start taking on some of these bigger
stages. And like I said, you've got the
power. We We've seen it. Are are you
ready to step outside Omaha, or do you
just love being able to go back and see
all your friends and showcase back in
your hometown, your second home? Yeah.
No, I mean, of course, I I I love
hometown fighting, but you know, I I've
been fighting for so long that uh you
know, I I love traveling as well, too. I
I I I can go into anyone's backyard and
fight. Um so, yeah, I mean, I I I love
to travel and um yeah, I mean, I'm I I I
would fight anywhere, anytime. And um
yeah, I mean uh you know, I I lose money
to fight. You know, it's it's it's
something, you know, I have to close my
clinic to fight. So, you know, I'm not
I'm not doing it for the money. I'm
doing it because I love to do it. I I
love the process. I I'm I'm unattached
to the outcome. You know, win or lose,
of course, I want to win and and I feel
like I'm the best. Um but I'm I'm
unattached to the outcome. And and that
makes me a very dangerous person.
Man, I just had a question, but I space
it. I I'll say this. your last fight.
Like I said, it seems like a lot of
women in the top five are super nice to
you, like when they see you, but like it
gets a little catty either after the
fight or online. Why is that? Are you
not a likable person? I feel like you're
very likable, but it seems like they
don't like you online. I'm I'm I'm very
blunt, you know, and and and that's
that's what makes that's what makes me a
good doctor as well, too. You know, I'm
I'm very blunt. I don't play around. Um
and um and and uh you know it it ruffles
some feathers and um it's hard because
we're we're punching each other, right?
And so if if I say I'm going to knock
you out, um you know, that that's coming
from confidence because I'm I'm
prepared. Um you know, but um you know,
some some people will take it the wrong
way. But, you know, I I do admire how
the the males, you know, when they say
they're going to knock each other out,
they they keep it, you know, really to
fighting. But, you know, if if I tell
you a female I'm going to knock her out,
then she'll she'll come and say, "Well,
you're ugly." And, you know, it's just
it's like what? It's like let's give it
a You know, it's like, yeah, you know,
and you know, I think I've even been
called like a a housewife or like a what
do you call it? Like one of those um
desperate housewives or what, you know,
you know, it's just like what are you
talking about? But it's just it's it's
um you know, women get very emotional
and um I'm I'm I'm good at
compartmentalizing my emotions and and
um so yeah, I mean I I you know, you
know, Crystal and I, we've we've had our
our little um you know, we're we're
clearly not friends. Um but you know, I
I respect Crystal. I think I think she's
a really tough lady and and um you know,
I admire her. I I think she's really
awesome. Um but um yeah, I mean I I I I
said she looked like an alien, which she
did. I mean, her face looked like an
alien after and and um you know, that
that rubbed her the wrong way. I think
she she took it as as maybe meaning
something to do with her looks or maybe
nationality or or maybe that um you
know, I was bragging that I overpowered
her or whatever. um you know, but it
certainly um you know, wasn't a personal
insult for her, but um yeah, you know,
um the the the the you know, I guess
Chris and I had had a little bit of a
falling out there, but um I I thought
you and Taylor had had some stuff to say
to each other, too. Like I feel like I
feel like some of the stuff in the top
five, they don't like you. No, I mean I
I I really like Taylor. I I I mean, ta
Taylor's really amazing as as well, too.
Um gosh, what did I do for for Taylor? I
mean, so, uh, yeah, there there was
there was talks that, um, you know,
Taylor and I were potential for Phoenix
in January, um, which falling through,
but, um, yeah, the the matchmaker was
was talking to my husband. They my my
husband is the one who who talks to all
of them, but um, you know, they had been
planning, uh, Taylor and me, but it it
just didn't didn't work out. But, you
know, when it was in the process, I um,
you know, I I said something like, "Oh,
I can't wait to, you know, make her I
can't remember. put put real tears on
her because I think she's got like a
teardrop tattoo or something. Just you
know, just talk typing a fight. Yeah.
But but but you know what? I I did reach
out to tea to Taylor um you know, you
know, right around that time as well,
too. And I I I told her like, "Hey, like
I I really respect you. Um and and I
think you're really awesome and and I
would never want to hurt your feelings
or anything like that." And and you
know, she she she's she's um she's
really an amazing person. She was like,
"You know what? Like it's all fair game.
Like I understand like it's just
competition." Um, and so she she she
understands the game. Like she
understands competitive banter. Um, and
like and and competitive banter is fun.
Like I you know I don't I don't want to
I don't I don't want to be um you know I
don't want to be boring and and not be
able to talk really and and have fun.
Like this is fun to me. Um, and um, so
yeah, I I love I love competitive banter
and and um, it's unfortunate when it
turns into bullying or personal insults.
Um, because ultimately I'm I'm in
fighting for myself. I'm I'm not
competing with anyone else. Um, and and
I'm not looking for validation or
anything like that. I'm not I'm not
trying to prove anything to anyone. And
so I I really have no business um, you
know, bullying or or you know, getting
into personal insults with with people.
Um, but uh I will say that if if I think
I can kick your ass, I'm gonna say it.
Um, and and it's not it's nothing
personal at all. It's just it's just
it's just the game. It's just the game
and I I love the game. I think it's
interesting because you you need to sell
fights because I look at Dubai and you
have Britt and Tai and they were so nice
and you know so great to each other and
it was kind of a little boring and I I'm
not going to lie I was told that BKFC
had hoped that they had you know taken a
couple shots at each other but then you
had Austin Trout and Carlos and they
were you know you're ugly and you know
like just kind of like taking like
little little jabs and you need that
stuff to kind of like hype up the fight
and you know what after the fight you
guys are all so nice and hug and you
know but I mean like before that it it
helps to sell a fight. Yeah. Well, and
and and you Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I I I
love I love the competitive banter. It's
it's all it's all it's all fun. It's all
It's all fun. And, you know, at at the
end of the day, like if if you know, any
of my opponents like, you know, needed
help or like if if if you know, if if if
we were side by side and and their
children needed help or their family,
like I'm a good person. Like I I would
be there. um you know, in any way that I
could. Um not not not saying that my
opponents would call on me, but um you
know, I would never want to hurt or harm
someone. You know, I'm a protector. I I
want to protect people. Um but um you
know, competition is fun. Um and and so
um yeah, I mean I I I I I love the
competitive banter and and and um you
know, I I respect all female fighters
and um you know, it t it takes a lot to
get in the cage and the things that we
do behind the scenes and all the
training is is um is unmatched and and
only a fighter can can really understand
that. And um so yeah, I have huge
respect for for any fighters. Um, and
um, yeah.
Let me ask you this. So, you're somebody
who also did competitive bodybuilding.
Was there any banter like that? I mean,
did you guys talk each other or was
it No. Yeah. Yeah. It's boring. Like,
bodybuilding is Well, I did bikini,
right? And it's it's boring, you know?
You just, you know, it's it's one of
those things like they're just talking
about how they're eating tilapia and,
you know, rice all day long. And you
know, I'll be the one who's like, "I ate
McDonald's, you know, before I came
here, you know, and they're all serious
about their dieting." So, um, you know,
I guess I kind of rub people the wrong
way when I do bikini competitions, too,
because it's just I'm I'm maintaining
all the time. I I don't do any dieting
or, you know, anything like that. I'm
I'm I've been doing this for 15 years.
Um, you know, and and um yeah, it's it's
um it's um yeah, I mean, it's it's part
of my lifestyle. I' I've been doing this
for so long. um you know and and um
yeah, it's it's um it really is tragic.
Um you know, when when other female
athletes will um you know, accuse me of
of things like steroids or any anything
to compromise my integrity because I I'm
a person of integrity. I I I
I value integrity um more than anything.
and um and um yeah, it's it's um it's a
shame uh for um you know, things things
like that to escalate um uh that that
far. And so um you know, that that's
that's a a common a common accusation
that I will get. Um but um you know, I'm
I'm I'm I'm going to be the best one day
and and um I you will not find anything
in my blood. You not not even THC. And
in fact, I stopped smoking weed before I
even had crystals fight because I I know
that I'm going to get to the top and I'm
not going to have anything risk anything
in my blood. Um and and so I I won't I
won't even smoke weed uh to have um you
know to have my my blood clear. And so
that that's how serious that I I am
about this. And um you know I I um I I
love to to motivate women to to train
and and um and and what I do is nothing
special. I I I I just train consistently
and my mind is set and and I'm very
focused and disciplined in life and and
my body is is is a direct display of
that.
So I I I'll tell you this. I've talked
to other fighters and I'm I'm hanging
out with them and they say, "I I train
X, Y, and Z, but a lot of times I only
do this for five minutes for an
Instagram post." I see you walking out
and you're doing chin-ups and stuff. Do
you actually do that in between in
between like patients and stuff like are
you somebody who actually trains or are
you just you doing it for the gram like
some of these guys? No, I mean I I'm not
actually really good at filming myself.
I I recently, you know, have a um a a
trainer at my gym who is is just
starting to to help film me. She's very
skilled with with social media stuff.
But, you know, I'm I'm someone who I
when I'm training like I'm focused. Like
I don't pull out my camera. Um and and
um I've always been that way. I I just
um you know, even when I'm at the gym,
like I don't even look at myself in the
mirror because I I don't want to be
distracted. I'm I'm just focused. I'm in
the zone. I'm in my bubble. Um and um
yeah, and so I'm I'm trying I'm trying
I'm trying to I'm trying to share um you
know, what I do a little bit more. I I
know that um I know that social media
and everything is so important these
days and um I'm trying to come out of my
bubble to share what I do, but I'm I'm
very I'm a very private person and and
um I'm pretty boring. I'm pretty boring.
I just I just do the same thing all day
long every day. Um but um yeah, I I I
understand that um you know, if if I if
I want to change the world and and
influence people, you know, like I want
to, I I have to share what I'm doing.
So, I'm trying to get better at at doing
that. What came first, the the
bodybuilding or the the fighting? Yeah.
And so, um, actually, uh, bikini. So,
so, so yeah, I I I say bodybuilding, but
what's the difference between bikini and
bodybuilding? So, I mean, I guess it's
all the same. The bikini people still
call themselves bodybuilding, but um um
yeah, but bikini is just more feminine,
right? And so, so figure would one um
one difficulty level up. And and figure
people are pretty jacked. Like I'm I'm
not jacked enough to do figure. You kind
You got to do steroids or something.
Like those people are really really
jacked. Like you got to you got to do
something. Um you know and and dieting
and things like that. I've never been a
dieter. So So I I you know that it's not
it's not for me. But bikini is just you
got to look feminine and and you got to
you know look you know just good in good
in a bikini and and that's um you know
that that's that's that's easy for me.
Um, and so, um, yeah, you know, I I
started with bikini because I worked at
a nutrition store. And so, you know,
ultimately, I think, um, yeah, I was
really lucky. I I I was immersed into
the wellness industry at a very young
age. So, at 16 years old, I worked at a
nutrition store and, you know, I saw
adults who were very fit and and I was
exposed um to to to the fitness
lifestyle at at a very young age. And I
I saw how taking care of your body and
strength training, you know, really
changed people's bodies and and um yeah,
you know, I I I ended up going into the
gym. Um and and really I just ran on the
treadmill and and um you know, that
that's how I I I started biking. I just
started, you know, running on the
treadmill and then, you know, from there
you look at your pictures on stage and
you realize what you got to change. And
so then I started strength training and
things like that. But um a staple part
of my training is strength training.
even even to this day like I I I don't
miss my strength training and and that's
ultimately why my body looks different
um you know next to you know you know
some some of these other other some of
these other women like I I've been
strength training for 15 years um and
and even through pregnancies I I I've
never you know slacked on my strength
training and and and um you know it
really it really shows uh you know put
put me next to another 38-year-old woman
you know for for example my my opponent
my my opponent on on Friday, I'm gonna
look way more fat than her. And she she
doesn't look like someone who um you
know has has really been doing a lot of
strength. You're not not it's it's you
can just tell by by you know the body
type. I'm I'm going to look a lot
stronger and and a lot a lot harder
because um because I I strength train
and um and and the power and strength is
is going to show. You know, we're I
think she's the same age as me and and
it's going to show. two two 38 year
olds, but um I'm I'm going to be on
another level.
The one thing that I like is is you said
like you you get there by dieting. I
talked to Camozi. He gets to wait by
dieting. I interviewed a guy last night,
Marcus Edwards. He cuts down from 230 to
175, which I just think is insane to
drop that much weight for a fight.
Yeah. I I can't imagine. So, like I
said, you and I have talked and people
want you to go up to 125 potentially,
but you're like, "Look, I'm 115. I make
115. I want to stay there. Like you're
content at 11:15, right? I mean, I I
woke up this morning at 118. Like look,
I can't I can't really That's like
right. But but I mean, I'm I'm jacked,
you know? And um yeah, I mean, I I I did
the first BKFC fight at 125. Um and only
because I was still nursing. I I was
nursing my kid. Uh so that was 2022 when
I when I fought. Um I can't can't
remember her name. Um yeah, I don't
remember her name after that. Yeah. A
Audrey Aubra. Oh, yeah. Audrey Cummings,
right? Audrey. Yeah, she was she was a
really nice lady. Um but um yeah, I I I
only took that fight at 125 because I
was still nursing. So I I I didn't know
if I could make 115 and I hadn't fought
in, you know, three years or so. So I
just didn't know how my body was going
to be respond. But I've always been a
115 pound fighter. Um and and that that
that's that's just my body type, right?
So I'm I I was 118 this morning. I've,
you know, really for the last like two
weeks, I'm I've been waking up like 120.
Um, and um, you know, I've done big
weight cuts before, you know, when, you
know, I I'll eat McDonald's and Chipotle
for a full fight camp and I'll be
walking at like 135, right? But um, you
know, this this time I I haven't been
eating Chipotle. So, I'm like, I'm I I
want to be the best. And so, I'm I'm
serious about this. And so, I've kept my
weight good. Um, and and um, I'm locked
in. I'm I'm locked into this. I'm
serious about this. And and no, I I I I
I won't do 125. I'd have to bulk up to
to get to 125. I'm I'm a very lean,
strong 115er and I got I got the body
type forward. I got the the long reach
and um you know, it it sucks for the
girls who have to come in to me, right?
Like I I get to play on the outside and
you know, I I wouldn't want to be one of
these girls against me. Like they they
got to come in to me. Um and um you
know, I got good aim. I I I got good aim
and I'm a head hunter and I love to
punch, you know. It's just it's
something about fighting that I just
love, you know, and and um I got a
really good one, too. And um you know,
that's the basics. You a good one, two
goes a long ways. And gosh, I just have
so much fun. I have so much fun. So, I'm
I'm I'm I'm a dangerous I'm a dangerous
dangerous person.
2022, you take a fight. You're nursing.
2025, you're the number one contender.
like did you see your life playing out
like this, you know, back in 2022 when
you started the the BKFC? No. You know
what? Um I I I didn't. But um you know
what? I've um I've always wanted to get
into boxing. I I I've always wanted to
get into boxing. And in fact, um, back
when I did like an MMA fight back in
Maine, I I trained with, um, some I
can't remember her name, but, um, she
she was part of, uh, the Olympics and
and you know, they they at the time they
were toying around or or trying to
consider me joining in with them and
then they found out I was Canadian. So,
um, and and she was like the top 125 or
um, and so, yeah, even even even back in
the day, um, you know, I I, um, you
know, I I turned heads for boxing, but I
I just, um, I just never got into it.
And, and really too, like back in the
day, like I I was always um, you know,
my goal was to become a doctor and and
um, you know, that that pushes a lot of
coaches away and so I was never really
taken seriously. Um, you know, really
for my my whole career, I was never
taken seriously and and you know, now
that I'm a doctor and and I have the
resources. Um, you know, I I I get
one-on-one trainings and and you know,
my my coach knows I'm serious. My my my
coach knows that I'm I'm serious and I'm
in this and and I don't play around and
um I'm like a little sponge. And I've
never had um I've really never had a
coach even hold pad for me, you know,
all these years of fighting. like I've
had over like 40 fights and you know I
only over these last couple years
training for BKFC like I I only recently
really had a coach um you know really
connect with me and and train with me.
So, um, every every single fight is
going to be a whole new Sarah. Um, and,
um, I'm I'm a very smart person and and,
um, you know, this is like a chess game
to me. Um, and, um, you know, I I want
to win and, um, and, um, yeah, it's it's
um, there's just something about it that
it just it just it just feeds my soul.
Well, I'm looking forward to seeing you
again. My wife was really disappointed
she didn't get to meet you in Omaha. She
said this time she absolutely wants to
make sure she meets you and gets a
picture with you. Like I said, you you
you and your husband are so nice to me
back in Omaha. Like I can't wait to see
you again. And uh and again, you know,
fighters never say like if so when you
win, I can't wait to talk to you again
and hopefully it's promoting a fight
against Britain. Yes. Awesome. Thank you
so much. I appreciate you so much and
and all the support and uh yeah, I I
can't wait to put on a good show on
Friday. Um you know, I'm really excited
and and I'm I'm grateful for this
opponent. Um but uh I'm not I'm not
going to show any mercy. I'm I'm I'm
going to make this a statement. Um and
I'm going to show why why I am the best.
So, let me ask you this real quick
before we wrap up. We just saw Jessica
Borger with the very first ever, you
know, female knockout. Like, are you
looking to add that to the 115? Like I
there, you know, I saw Jamie uh or not
Jamie, Jenny Savage was talking that she
had a knockout, but like the the girl
waved her off on the ground, so it was
more of a TKO. Are you looking for a
knockout or are you just are you just
happy to punish punish women in the
ring? Yeah. You know what? I I don't
really care. Um but um you know, I I've
never lost a round and uh I'm 100%
knockdown rate. So the you know, not
going to lose a round. I've never lost
around and I don't plan on losing a
round and um there's a 100% chance that
she's going to get knocked down. And so
it's either she's getting, you know,
knocked down and and she's gonna give
up. Um you know, or or I'm I'm just
gonna I'm I'm gonna have to make her
quit, right? So um I'm it's not going to
be five rounds. I I'm going to feel her
out in the first round and uh if I don't
finish in the first round, I'm going to
finish in the second round. I'm not
going to be in there for five rounds
this time. Um you know, I I um I I kind
of I kind of regret um pulling back with
with my fight with Crystal. Um you know,
I played it smart and
um and uh I'm I'm not I'm not going to
do that again. I'm I'm gonna I'm going
to be a killer and um it's going to be a
new Sarah on Friday. I'm excited to see
the new Sarah. can't wait to talk about
this new, you know, crazy killer sh.
Look at those muscles. Bigger than mine.
All right.
You You are a beast and in the beast in
the best way. I can't wait to see you.
I'm so excited for your fight and and
we'll we'll we'll talk to each other on
Friday. Awesome. Thank you. I appreciate
you. You're the best. And uh I'll I'll
see you soon. Any sponsors or anything
you want to shout out? I I know you
probably got something, right? Uh you
know what? No. I I I I am my own
sponsor. I've I've uh I've never really
like dug around for sponsors. Um uh but
uh I will say my gym uh Pro Edge MMA uh
and my coach Santiago is is um is is is
really everything and um I'm I'm really
grateful. I have a really good gym. I
have a lot of good people behind me. Um
and it's something that I've never had
and um you know that that's why I'm
becoming the fighter that I am. And um
I'm I'm really excited. All right. Well,
we'll talk to you later. Thanks so much,
Sarah. Thank you. Bye.
