Today we are talking about one of my favorite topics.
Trends.
I will show you the most important fashion trends for the fall of 2025.
I will show you what to expect this fall in the shopping streets and which fashion trends are the easiest and most wearable in this season.
This is a great way to get inspired, how you can re-style the pieces of clothing that you already have in the wardrobe.
You don't have to reinvent your wardrobe.
You don't have to separate yourself from everything.
You don't have to buy a bunch of new things right away.
This is simply an inspiration for what we will see in a moment.
And it offers you a lot of great ideas on how you can re-style your wardrobe.
However, I have already taken a part of the work from you.
And if you want to shop these trends, I have a few practical shopping tips ready for each trend.
You can see them here on the screen and I will link them below in the description.
There you will find all the information you need.
I have so many fashion trends, but you have to stay until the end to find out my absolute favorites.
But without wasting too much time, let's start with the trends.
And with number one, the Western trend.
If you have seen my previous trend videos for spring, summer, you have already heard about the Western trend.
It has dominated the fashion landscape all year round and is also ubiquitous in the shopping streets.
I love the Western trend, but you don't have to dress up from head to toe in the cowboy look to create this look.
If at all, then in my opinion it is best to add elements.
The Western trend has definitely inspired our clothing in the warmer months,
but in the coming fall and winter it can still definitely be integrated.
The first thing I think of in the Western trend is jeans, and a lot of it.
Think of double denim.
Think about combining different jeans styles.
Jeans shirts are an important part of this trend.
Materials such as leather, cord and such details are an important part of this trend.
And again, if there is something you just don't like, you can just ignore it.
However, you will see it in the shopping streets this year.
The second trend that we will look at is the color brown.
Brown will stay with us.
It is still the new black.
It was all year round.
The official Panone color of the year 2025 was Mojamose.
I talked about this color tone in my previous trend videos.
It is a very covered earth.
It is a slightly lighter brown tone.
However, with the beginning of autumn-winter, we also experience the comeback of these beautiful, rich brown tones.
I am a big fan of the color brown and have taken up many different brown pieces of clothing in my wardrobe.
Brown handbags, which I can style very easily all year round.
Brown blazers, brown shoes.
Brown is really the most refined of all neutral colors.
It is a little more subtle than black, but more exciting than beige.
Just a deadly color.
So if you want to integrate a new color into your wardrobe this year and look for something that is in the trend, brown is probably the safest choice.
The next big trend, which we will see in autumn 2025, is pointed.
This is a big trend for the whole year.
We have seen a lot of pointed stylings all summer, which is interesting, because it is a fabric that we will see more often in autumn-winter.
And surprise, surprise, these are huge news for the coming months.
We see pointed in a Victorian style, which is very interesting.
So there is a little bit more maximalism, like ruching collar from pointed, many pointed details, as well as transparent pointed details, transparent pointed stripes on clothes.
We also see pointed applications on different fabrics.
Let's say pointed sets of things.
We also see pointed on unexpected pieces of clothing, such as jackets, sweaters and similar things.
In this autumn-winter we see pointed in much more interesting combinations.
So you will see much more blouses in the Victorian style in the shops.
And if you are brave enough, I think that it is a really, really funny style that you can integrate, even if you do it in a more subtle way.
The next trend, which we will talk about, is a kind of continuation of pointed, namely ruching.
Some of these trends go a little bit into each other.
There is always a certain degree of agreement between these different trends, but ruching really deserve their own place, because they are the absolute winner in autumn and winter.
We have worn them all spring and summer.
They are strongly influenced by the bohemian trend of brands like Chloé, this modern bohemian style.
In autumn and winter ruches become larger and more voluminous.
We see them again in the already mentioned ruching collar, but also in these beautiful bohemian ruching blouses with exaggerated ruches.
Here, too, they were strongly oriented towards Chloé.
If you are looking for a piece of clothing that really embodies this trend, then I would say an oversized ruching blouse.
Many of us probably have something like that in our wardrobe.
You can easily find them on the second-hand market or as vintage clothing.
You can combine them with jeans, skirts or boots and have a lot of fun ruching.
I think it provides a great texture, volume and makes it more interesting.
Way from the rather feminine, romantic ruching.
Another big trend that we see for autumn and winter are powerful silhouettes, and the 80s cut is strongly embodied by power suits.
Think of exaggeratedly padded shoulders with blouses, even with tops and blouses.
A really strong shoulder, which is emphasized by a laced or laced waistband.
A fantastic trend that is suitable for your business wardrobe.
If you want to give your wardrobe a little more self-confidence, if you have meetings,
or if you just want to let the real 80s power businesswoman vibe flow into your outfits, then you should get a power suit.
That can be a trouser suit, but also a suit with skirt.
We see this vintage-inspired style.
We also see it on a more modern kind of brands like Skiparelli.
YSL always has the most revolutionary cuts.
We can see that this also penetrates into the main shopping streets.
So you can definitely find them at affordable prices.
I would also say that when thinking about where to invest in your wardrobe for autumn and winter,
I would always invest in my suits and tailor-made.
A really well-cut blouse.
Even if you buy something and you can adjust it,
I tend to invest in such models at this time of year.
Another form or silhouette that will be the runner in autumn and winter
are draped and with capes models on our top.
This season we focus on a little more drama with our silhouettes.
Whether it is the gentle, romantic ruches or the strong 80s silhouette,
we focus on dramatic reforms.
And I personally love that, because I think it's such a great way to play with trends.
This can be, for example, a draped coat or a coat in cape style.
We will see a lot of that in the shopping streets.
We have already seen them last season, but a simple way to integrate them
is to add scarves to your coats and wear them draped.
We have seen many suitable scarf and coat sets, which are excellent to take with you,
because you can style them in different ways.
You can also easily pick up this trend by combining what you already have,
by adding scarves, draping them in a certain way and maybe adding a brooch here and there.
You can definitely buy such clothing pieces in the shopping street,
but you can also style them yourself.
It would not be a trend video if I did not at least introduce a handbag trend,
because as you know, this is my special area.
I will make my own video on the most important handbag trends for autumn.
I will tell you about one of the top handbag trends for 2025,
and that is the soft, oversized, casual bag.
This bag is getting more and more on the market.
We see a trend away from the structure to soft, pillow-like bags,
which you wear in the armrest or clamp under the arm and close like a pillow.
I think that's just so chic.
Interesting that we see this soft, formless structure in our handbags,
almost as a way to balance out the strong structural lines that we see in our clothing.
Often these styles really create a contrast in an outfit.
Structured suit with a strong shoulder and tailored waist,
a large, casual bag is the perfect addition.
You can of course also find such casual models in the shopping streets.
You see them everywhere, not just at designer brands,
but also at the labels of the middle class, which I absolutely love.
I have many recommendations.
I will link them below, also to be found in the shopping streets.
You can also take one of your carry-on bags and style it this way.
You put the heels in, fold the upper part slightly and wear your handbag in this way,
without having to feel like you have to buy something new.
Another big trend that we will see in 2025,
which was seen on many designer runways, is the boot shape.
That's so interesting, because it was so popular in the early 2010s.
I think many of us were hesitant.
But basically the modern peplum is exactly that.
It's more elegant.
I would say, it's actually a very silky silhouette.
Similar to the structured shoulder, the peplum style emphasizes the waist and is then exposed over the hips.
So it can often be a very silky style.
We see peplum jackets and button details with these beautiful, silky peplum styles.
We also see peplum tops and blouses.
If you don't like the peplum style, you don't have to wear it.
That's absolutely fine.
Do you prefer a structured, tailored silhouette?
Then try peplum.
Peplum tops are often combined with the next trend, which I'm going to talk about,
namely the pencil skirt.
Well-known phenomenon, long gone, now with a stomp back.
And we have seen how these knee-length pencil skirts have been used for the spring and summer season in lighter fabrics.
We have seen dotted models.
We have seen satin versions for the autumn and winter season.
We see them in leather fabrics, in heavier wool fabrics.
Again with these peplum silhouettes with striking shoulders, really beautiful, tailored suit styles.
This reminds me of Muleja of the 80s, 90s.
They are structured, they are powerful, they radiate self-confidence, perfect for the work wardrobe,
but I think they will also be worn in everyday life.
We also see voluminous skirts that reach down to the knee.
The pencil skirt was actually the style that dominated the runways.
I will definitely try it in some way.
I always say, I'm your test bunny and I will definitely try it.
But I don't know.
Is that a style that really becomes a fixed part of my wardrobe?
I would like to know in the comments below what you think of the pencil skirt trend or the other trends that I have looked at in this video.
I always like to hear which trends you think are great or which you will avoid like the plague.
Another styling trend that we have seen all over the runways this season is the other, but chic trend.
Vogue has described it very aptly as a high fashion front.
Think of things like mixing textures in an unexpected way,
combining vintage or almost old-fashioned styles with more modern pieces.
A great example of this are people like Bridget Jones and the concept of the exhausted English woman, which I find so funny.
We always see these very specific aesthetics occur in every season.
Last fall, winter, it was the aesthetics of the mafia wife, and this season we have the exhausted English woman, which is so funny.
The idea of being a little old-fashioned, but elegant, exhausted, but still fabulous.
I think that's a trend that's a little difficult to implement.
I definitely think you can do something wrong with it.
I think there are ways to integrate elements of it into your style,
by looking at, for example, vintage pieces or pieces that you borrowed from your boyfriend,
such as oversized blouses, shawls and knitwear.
I think it's best to combine other elements besides chic and tailor-made elements.
I would like to know in the comments if you are adopting the high fashion front this year.
Let me know.
Another big trend for autumn-winter 2025, which I'm still a little unsure about, are fringes.
This is something that we saw in the last autumn-winter outcome, and it has gained momentum.
It was visible this season on all runways, and we will see it very often in the shopping streets.
Fringes on leather jackets, fringes on boots, fringes on clothes.
It doesn't have to be heavy fringes.
It can also be lighter, softer fringes.
I think it's best to style this in a softer, more wearable way, instead of falling headlessly into this trend.
I think a good way to do this is, for example, accessories, because it doesn't come down to a head-to-foot effect.
Fringe jackets and fringe elements are really great on the second-hand or vintage market,
instead of paying a fortune for, for example, a fringe jacket made of wild leather.
So be sure to think about it if you want to try this trend.
Another accessory trend, which will be the autumn-winter runner,
are boots in pirate style, oversized, casual, almost pirate-like boots.
You can have everything from mid-length to short to knee-high, even knee-length boots.
The most extreme version of this is large, casual, oversized boots in over-the-knee style, which we saw on the runways.
This is certainly a very interesting style that we haven't seen in a while,
but it's definitely a pretty out-of-date style that you should try.
So if you're a fan of this kind of casual boots, I would recommend maybe starting with a lower to medium-high to knee-height,
before you decide on over-the-knee boots.
That's a trend that I'm going to be daring to approach,
maybe with a medium-high or lower casual boot style, before I dive into the over-the-knee style.
But let me know if you would wear these.
I know that casual boots definitely had their big show a few years ago.
So if you still have them, maybe you should bring them out again.
Finally, let's talk about my favorite autumn-winter trend of 2025.
And surprise, surprise, it's an accessory trend.
This trend is belt styling.
This is something that we saw in spring, summer and previous autumn-winter.
Belts are getting more and more maximal.
Maximalist styling is generally more and more in the coming,
because we're moving away from the old money and clean girl aesthetics.
Fashion is definitely getting funnier and more interesting.
And I'm definitely into it.
The reason why belt styling is my favorite among the trends,
is that it's so easy to integrate.
You probably already have a belt in your closet.
Start to wear them on top of each other, to achieve this effect even better.
We've seen so many different styles on the treadmill.
We saw double and triple buckle belts combined.
Clumsy belts.
We've seen belts with low waist, belts that are used to create this accentuated waist silhouette,
which really, really makes the strong shoulders stand out.
We've also seen more and more outstanding buckles,
which go back into the western style.
That's really something that's no longer out of fashion.
And again, this is my favorite trend of the season,
because you can so easily pick up this trend and have fun with your outfits,
without spending a lot of money.
It's definitely a thing with low investment and maximal effect.
And if you look at these trends and look for something new that you can try,
I would recommend playing around with belts and styling them in different ways.
You can use belts, for example, to loosen up a trench coat, a jacket or a maxi dress.
It's a great way to loosen up longer fabrics.
Use two or three belts instead of just one.
Contrasting textures and often colors can work very, very well.
So if you use belts in different neutral colors, for example,
or if you combine a wild leather belt with a leather belt,
in the last few seasons, you've seen a lot of knitted details.
You could, for example, combine a knitted belt with a smooth belt.
That creates a lot of interest.
It makes everything really conscious and really styled.
The easiest way is to dress up things that you already have in your closet.
I'll link a selection of my favorite belts down in the description.
So be sure to check them out if you want to try out a few new styles that you can experiment with.
That's my summary of the top fashion trends that we expect in the fall of 2025.
There are so many more big fashion trends for the fall of 2025 that we could deal with.
So let me know in the comments below if you want a second part, and I'll get to work.
