Her Vintage vlogs Before the new season settles in, I love giving my home a little pre-fall reset Its my way of closing one chapter and opening another with fresh energy I'm starting with a good clean up around the house. We have been sleeping in the living room for the past few weeks because of the heatwave the AC isn't cooling enough in our bedroom To be honest, I've had the best sleep since sleeping on the floor Its a tedious work to drag the vacuum cleaner every 4 to 5 times a day :| A cordless vacuum would make life so much easier I'll first make myself some breakfast Do u like eating watermelon or sweet melon? I like sweet melon more since it makes less mess and its sweeter. some salt over the eggs store the leftover in a ziplock bag and finish it in 2 days There's something about this transition between summer and fall that feels like a fresh start, the weather is slowly changing It still feels hot all day but I can't wait for the weather to get a bit cooler Since I spend all day at home I want to surround myself with things that bring me joy I just want to make few changes in my home that feels more whimsical My To do list for today : Clean the living room - done Laundry also done Storage unit needs deep cleaning and remove summer decorations Time to clean the dirty dishes, this isn't too much sometimes it gets overwhelming, if I don't wash the dishes in time Plus the heat is like cherry on top :D It is actually quite therapeutic watching all the dishes getting cleaned Putting away last bits of summer, clearing clutter and making room for new season decorations I love switching out lighter colors for deeper, earthy shades and adding little touches like candles or lamps to make home more inviting. I'm making a lampshade using sketch papers Looking at the prices of a lamps I don't think I can buy anytime . Sketch paper is thick and it can cast light well I wanna make something like this. I have so many plain white mugs which I want to make prettier and useful If not for drinking then as a brush or stationery holder Making cute things that I can use on daily basis makes me feel accomplished Slowly filling my home with the things I made myself This egg tray wasn't as smooth looking as I wanted but it will still look cute on the kitchen counter. I made a lampshade with cereal box :D I'll cover the lampshade with this fabric. I've been wanting to buy these wavy lampshades but its so over prized. So I decided to make it myself instead of spending lots of money on it If your interested in learning how I made it, comment down below I'll show it in my next video :) I'm starting to paint something in every corner of my house This corner looks dull and boring, painting here would make it look lively I came to find some fall decor items and found these gorgeous wavy soup bowls Came Ikea because there's nowhere else that makes me as happy as here ;) Taking few inspirations, I love the arch walls Ikea trip would be incomplete without eating swedish meatballs I like to pour all the gravy over mashed potatoes Bought these two plants from Ikea It's only been a week and it's already drying out I'll get rid of dead leafs and make room for new ones to grow AC room make the plants extremely dry, I'll keep it close the humidifier Found few gems for my home. I've been looking for cheaper lamps and I finally found this ceramic bear lamp Everytime I find cheaper baskets I always try to buy atleast one love this wicker tray but I regret not buying larger one. Linen beddings from Ikea This pre-fall reset always reminds me that taking care of my home is also a way of taking care of myself. It's not about big changes, just little details that shift the mood..
