Recently, there was information that singer and actress IU received a salary of up to 500 million won (about 345,000 USD) per episode in the new drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.

According to information from All Kpop, on March 18 (Korean time), a representative from Pan Entertainment, the production unit of the drama, confirmed to the media that: "The information that IU received 500 million won per episode is completely false."

This rumor originated from an anonymous post on an online forum, in which the writer affirmed that IU and co-star Park Bo Gum were both paid 500 million won per episode for their roles in When Life Gives You Tangerines.
