Hello my friends, I hope you're doing well.
Today, we're going to talk about Gladiator.
Gladiator is an Americano-British film directed by Ridley Scott and released in 2000.
The plot takes place in Ancient Rome and puts on stage Maximus Decimus Meridius, a renowned Roman general.
After being betrayed and left to die by the ambitious emperor Commodus, Maximus becomes a slave to Gladiator.
He conquers the heart of the Roman people in the Colosseum and finally confronts Commodus in an epic fight.
The film won 5 Oscars, including the Best Film and Best Actor for Russell Crowe.
A sequel is planned for 2024.
Little anecdote, the Tigers.
5 tigers were brought on set for the famous scene of the duel in the arena against Maximus, the formidable Tigris.
During the design of the scene, a veterinarian armed with a tranquilizer was constantly on site.
In addition, so that there is no security problem, Russell Crowe should never hold on to less than 4.5 meters of animals.
I only offer it once.
Why did I decide to talk to you about this film?
Already because it is a film that I wanted to see again for a long time.
And if you have films to advise me of the same kind, do not hesitate to tell me in the comments too.
I could do this type of exercise to remake another video, it will give me ideas.
It is always interesting to share an experience together.
And I also wanted to make you want to go see this film again.
In fact, I really like the moral of this story for the simple and good reason that you have a soldier who is typically made to obey orders.
But not just any order.
And especially not coming from anyone.
So finally, he is someone with values and principles to whom we will take everything, we will drag in the dust.
And who will go from rank of soldier to simple slave.
Like a commodity that can be traded for money, that we exchange.
Whose life ultimately represents nothing.
In a way, it is not entirely false, given that Maximus has lost everything.
His family, his child, his house.
His only reason to live is now to take revenge on Emperor Comode who took everything from him.
While he was about to be able to return.
Unfortunately, fate has decided otherwise.
Father of a murdered son.
Husband of a murdered woman.
And I will have my revenge.
In this life or in the next.
You will have understood, epic passages, there are plenty in the film.
So go see it again immediately.
For those who are lacking landmarks, you will also see an image of democracy that we give you very little.
You see, it is the people who decide.
A decision so strong that the emperor himself trembles.
Since he cannot act as his will dictates to him.
He would have liked to kill on the field this slave who disobeys.
The people are reunited.
And it is in front of the eyes of the crowd that we see the direct result.
The emperor cannot act as good seems to him.
Under the pressure, he is forced to leave it safe and sound.
And I can tell you that it bothers him enormously.
He will not give up.
And to demonstrate the strength of democracy from the moment we are loved by the people.
Something that Komod will envy him throughout the film.
Because he, the lover of the people, he will never have it.
Since he knows that no one loves him.
And that he has obtained power by cheating.
As the proverb often says, Malaki does not profit.
This is the end of this video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
I did my best to make it appealing to you.
I hope I convinced some of you to go see the film again.
It's really worth it.
For my part, I think.
Now, do not hesitate to say what you felt when watching.
What I could improve.
If you have any advice.
Or, I repeat, films to suggest to me.
See you soon.
Have a good day or a good week.
