Into the iRacing start zone, we're green at Andersen.
Whoa, that's close.
They're three wide.
Jared Fryer had to back out of it to avoid getting into Conor Jones.
Thomas Bean takes the lead and will come around to lead the opening lap.
Looking behind him there, that is Conor Hall in the 88,
trying to shut the door on Mini Tyrell as Bassett and Fryer are door to door for third.
14 outside, Jared Fryer, 0-4 inside.
Ronnie Bassett Jr., double wide from about sixth on back.
A lot of smoke out of the right rear of the 14 car.
I don't know if that's just everything getting up to temperature or getting up to
getting getting those tires up to temperature and letting those pressures
build up right now as many Tyrell trying to take it away.
Oh, in trouble. Turn two, David Roberts has part
the rest of the field, having to slow down and go wide
to avoid these two slow in the middle of turn one and two.
That is Ralph Carnes in the 2C as well out of Andersen, South Carolina,
and two locals are going to bring out an early caution.
Ryan Wilson, something dragon.
As he fell back through the field, we'll keep an eye on that
as we're back underway here at Andersen.
Jones fires off.
Jared Fryer hanging out on the top side,
looking to try and find a way back down to the bottom.
He can get the drive off a turn four.
It looks like he's going to be able to do it just now.
Jared Fryer cleared a second, almost try to take a trick.
It's shot to the race lead there of Conor Jones.
You talk about motivation and incentive.
Think no further than that 14 car of Jared Fryer, who had trouble.
Turn one. Taylor Satterfield gets spun.
Meredith Riley Gentry pile in as the caution flag is out.
Five, six cars.
David Roberts may have gotten the worst end of it.
Back underway here at Andersen.
Clean restart all throughout the field, but best restart so far for Thomas
Bean, still has a nose to the outside of the 44 of Conor Jones.
They are nose to tail all the way stacked up.
How do they make it out of that corner?
As Jones gets a little bit of a nudge into one.
And you can see the desperation by that inside line
to have to pack the front bumper.
Boiler of the car in front of him to keep the outside car pinned to the top.
And that's what Fryer is doing off turn four with Bean to the outside.
Lewis and Hall sewed together again in the battle for fourth.
Fryer, great drive off the corner is going to be able to clean clear Thomas Bean,
who's not able to get back down.
You could see the decision for Conor Hall to choose the outside line.
He stacked up behind that X machine.
Pete Silva throwback and Cade Brown going to try to make up some ground
over the championship points leader as they go side by side down the back
stretch and Brown still going to stick that nose down in there in turn three.
Hall tried to cover the spot now battle for the lead.
Here comes Jared Fryer to the inside of Conor Jones.
Two drivers that finished on the podium at Hickory, but shy of the checkered flag.
Now, door to door for the lead in three.
I think Fryer was being a little patient, but now with the weather,
he's pushing a little bit harder and he's going to drive clear away.
Jared Fryer to the race lead, because if you go a little bit wide,
you're going to be sliding that right front or that right rear
as a little bit of contact further back in the field.
There's Darryl Earnhardt Jr.
Started back in the 21st position as made up a couple of spots right now.
But side by side with the lead pulley and performance zero three, that's Laney Bice,
who's on the top side right now, started back in 13th and has fallen back to this.
Oh, no. Contact all turn four and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
spins down the main straightaway,
gets the car stop before he tags the inside wall.
But a battle for the 17th spot goes sideways for the Budweiser number eight car.
Looking towards the second half of this one through the iRacing restart zone,
Jared Fryer trying to pull away here at Anderson.
They're back underway and Landon Lewis, Connor Hall are both there
to try to pounce at it, too.
But Connor Jones held Jared Fryer tight going into one.
He does it again going into three.
Fryer up the racetrack just a little bit.
Jones side by side at the stripe.
Fryer by inches had the lead that time and he runs up wide and turns one and two.
Contact made in your top two, Lewis.
Meanwhile, the 88 of Connor Hall, he made a decision
to check up there, to get down on the inside.
And it looks like paying dividends for him so far.
Mini Tyrell slips off the top.
These restarts are going to be so aggressive, hearing a lot of communication
about how important it is to try to get down to this bottom
because it's difficult to pass here once you get a couple of laps in.
So they're fighting hard for this bottom lane.
Landon Lewis fighting hard to get second from Connor Jones.
And Jones may have had an avenue to slide in behind Lewis that time.
Didn't do it there.
He's going to try to squeeze between the championship contenders.
But Connor Hall doesn't let it happen.
He's got the fender to the bottom of Connor Jones off for
giving a lot of room there.
The Connor Jones off in turn two was at twenty nine.
A land in Lewis.
Connor Hall now started to work into the fold as well.
Mini Tyrell can't forget about him.
Single file behind these two.
Everybody again trying to just hold on to any spot they can,
because once they get strung out, the difficulty to pass just gets that much
more that much more difficult for these drivers.
And the level of aggression required by the car in the top lane
to make any headway in that outside groove is so visibly noticeable
as Jones and Hall touch off turn four.
So Landon Lewis, I'm sure knowing that he's got to get out of Dodge again.
There's several bonus points that are available.
If you can win this race, it's 40 for second.
It's forty four for first.
Lewis is going to need all of them to try to erase the points
deficit here tonight.
He's on the inside of Jared Friar looking for the top spot off of four.
But man, look at the drive that Friar has off the corner.
He keeps the top spot in the 14 and just doesn't have enough speed
to get around him right now on the top.
Barnes isn't really sure where to go because they've been racing everywhere
as the competition caution comes out.
And I think that's why you saw Doug Barnes Jr.
fighting so hard to keep his position.
Jared Friar will bring the field through the iRacing restart zone again.
Twenty eight laps to settle in at Anderson.
Clean restart through the gears.
Can Friar clear Lewis off a two?
Looks like he can clear high.
But what could Connor Hall do on the bottom to the inside?
Comes the 88 car on Landon Lewis, who gets a good drive off a turn
four to protect second spot for now.
And Hall just not able to quite keep pace there with Lewis,
although he may have given him a shot in the center of one and two.
Connor Hall looking to the bottom.
Minnie Tyrell is able to get down there just in front of Cade Brown.
My goodness, they're just stacked up mere inches off of each other.
I can't believe as they stack up the three and four that we haven't seen
a bigger incident here tonight.
Hall gets a shot from Minnie Tyrell.
Huge stack up throughout the field.
Connor Jones saves it.
Here comes Brown to the inside of Minnie Tyrell in turn three.
Oh, man, that's a traffic jam.
Or Cadillac, my bad.
Oh, battle for the lead.
Lewis to the inside of Friar.
Slight contact off turn two.
But it's been right here.
Jared Friar has been so good all night long, but they're getting a little bit
closer. They slide on the front straightaway.
Friar saves it.
New leader at the point, but not at the stripe that last time.
Landon Lewis takes it and into turn number three.
New leader here.
Landon Lewis gets it from Jared Friar.
Can Friar get back to him?
Looks like he can't with 12 to go.
We'll see if Friar returns the favor, if he can get back to the bumper of Landon
Lewis. Both drivers vying for their third win of 2025.
Lewis trying to close up the battle of the championship.
Twelve points behind was the margin at the start of the night.
Eleven laps to go from Anderson.
Off the two. And you're exactly right.
He has to pass Jared Friar quickly if he has any hope of trying to run down
Landon Lewis. Friar going to go to the outside, give him plenty of room.
We know these are two hard but respectful racers.
And Huffman, he's got to make this quick.
But I think this battle is going to take just too much time.
There you see the gap between one and position number two.
Off of turn number four, it's been one of the trouble spots.
Oh, and a little bit of rear steer coming off of turn four.
And this is allowing Landon Lewis the breathing room he needs to protect
the lead for now.
Huffman again trying it on the bottom, and he's losing precious time to Lewis
as this battle tightens up off four with two laps to go.
It's looking like this is going to shape up to be the battle for second.
But Huffman going to make up some ground on several championship competitors
that are scattered throughout the rest of the top ten.
But in the three and four, Huffman making up some ground on Jared Friar.
He's going to have second at the white flag.
One lap left to go here for Landon Lewis, looking to go to cookout
victory lane yet again here in 2025.
The championship battle is on with four races left to go.
Landon Lewis gets it done at Anderson.
