Here's what happened round four of the Women's FIA Motocross World Championship Arnhem.
The MXGP of Netherlands, home favorite, championship leader Lotta van Druenen over the foxhole shot line.
Lin Volck, who was your pole sitter, she fell on the exit of the turn.
It would get worse for the Van Venrooy KTM rider. A slight mistake there for van Druenen.
She came into land as Fontanese, her closest rival in the championship, just six points behind going into race one.
Moved into third. Dani Gielissen was there in fourth until the 2.55.
Daniela Guillen found her way through from fifth into that fourth place.
Guillen then got onto the rear wheel and eventually found her way past Chiara Fontanese to move
into third. That was on lap 10 of 13. Fontanese putting up a hell of a fight though.
A couple of corners later and Daniela Guillen caught Sharna Vandervlist unawares. Moved into second.
Vandervlist was now third. Fontanese tried but failed to get inside the top three and in the end
it was a comfortable win for Lotta van Druenen. Guillen second, Vandervlist third, Fontanese four,
Gielissen her best ride ever coming home in fifth place. Let's give you the results.
Lotta van Druenen wins race one, takes the full 25 points from Daniela Guillen, Sharna Vandervlist,
Chiara Fontanese and Dani Gielissen. Lucy Barker, fantastic ride for her, best result of the season
so far. Larissa Pappermeyer seven and Sarah Anderson eight. Rounding out the top 10 we had
Amandine Verstappen and April Franzoni. Then we had Martine Hughes, Mathias Salebo, Tyra Backstrom,
Amber Simons, Malu Jakobsen of Denmark, Elena Kapsema and then the final points going to
Alexandra Massori, Fiona Hopper and Mara Benecki of Germany.
