You and me are going on a four weeks journey to create our hourglass shape.
Hi guys, welcome back to the channel. So this month's gonna be our hourglass month.
So we will do different workouts to target on different body parts each week.
So this week, let's start with our upper body.
By the end of the month, you will get into hourglass shape.
I reckon also for the first week, let's start with the upper body because
only training your abs for the hourglass shape is not enough.
Because hourglass looks like this.
So once you train your upper body and your lower body, balance out your proportion
while you train your abs to get a small waist, then you will get into hourglass shape.
This week, we're gonna do our upper body.
We're gonna do our chest, our arms, our shoulders, and our back.
Okay, so without further ado, let's get on to the video.
I reckon also for the first one, let's start with the arms.
Sit up tall and straight.
Open your arms out to the side and start drawing circles.
Remember to keep your shoulders back and down.
Don't hunch up.
We're only moving our arms.
Yes, now come supporting yourself into high plank.
Remember, don't lift your hips too high or don't drop it too low.
Keep it a straight line.
Then start tapping your shoulders one by one.
50 seconds.
Let's go!
Not only this is great for upper body, this also trains our core.
So come on, guys!
Engage your core.
Try to keep your body still.
We're only moving our arms to tap onto our shoulders.
Yes, now let's do some good old classic pose.
We're gonna do some push-up on our knees.
Remember to keep your shoulders back and down and keep engaging your core.
Especially when you push up, keep your body in a straight line.
Take it slow.
Take it step by step.
This is not a race.
We're doing it for ourselves.
So it is more important that you're doing every single one correctly.
You can do it!
Come on, keep engaging your core and keep pushing up.
We're almost done!
Yes, now sit back up.
Let's do an easy one.
Stick your forearms together.
Then lift up your elbows up to your nose without lifting your shoulders.
So every time when you lift up, squeeze your chest.
Are you guys ready?
Let's go!
Come on guys, remember keep your shoulders back and down.
Especially when you lift up your arms and keep lifting your elbows to your nose.
Squeeze the chest.
I've done everything else but a waste of time.
Yes, now come lie on your stomach.
Let's do our back.
Very easy.
We've done this before.
Extend your arms and your legs out and keep beating like you're swimming.
50 seconds, I guess.
Ready?
Let's do this!
Remember to keep your shoulders back and down.
Keep engaging your core.
Lifting using our back muscles and keep beating your arms and your legs.
Yes, now remain on the ground.
Extend your arms to the back.
When you lift up your arms, lift up your upper body as well.
Using your back muscles.
Remember shoulders back and down and lift up as high as you can.
Remember to look down.
Elongate your neck.
Engage your core.
Lift up as high as you can.
You can do it!
Yes, now keep your hands by your ears.
Extend one of your arms forward then return.
When it comes back, squeeze your back.
Remember, keep lifting your upper body.
50 seconds.
Let's do this!
Come on guys!
Remember every time when you shoot the arm forward,
don't squeeze up your shoulders as well.
Keep your shoulders back and down and keep lifting your upper body.
Squeeze your back.
Oh yes!
We almost finished the whole workout.
Now come supporting yourself into high plank.
We're gonna use our arms to do up and down plank.
The key is to engage your core.
Keep your body in a straight line.
50 seconds.
Let's go!
Remember to keep your body and your arms in a straight line.
So check if your wrists are underneath your shoulders.
If it is not, push yourself a little bit forward.
Keep it straight when you push up.
Yes!
One last pose before our stretch.
Now come supporting yourself with your forearms.
Then lift up your hips.
We're in dolphin pose.
Simply push your body back and forward for 50 seconds.
Are you guys ready?
Let's go!
Come on guys!
Move bigger!
We're training our full upper body muscles here.
Make sure that you push all the way back and then all the way to the front.
Yes!
Here comes the final stretch.
Now come sit back up.
Let's do a seated cat cow.
Exhale, round your back, hugging everything in.
Inhale, open your body, free everything out.
50 seconds.
Are you guys ready?
Let's do this!
Come on guys!
Round and arch your back to the floor.
Feel the stretch.
This is very good for our upper body, especially our spine and our back.
And yes!
We are finished!
You guys are amazing!
I hope you guys can feel the burn and I hope you guys enjoy this workout.
Well, how are you guys feeling?
I hope you guys enjoy this workout.
If you want to get into hourglass shape, why only doing the abs workout is not enough?
Yes, for sure you would definitely tone up your abs and get a stronger core.
But if you want to get into shape, that is a different topic because your body is smart.
For example, same as if you want to slim down your thighs,
only doing the thighs workout is not enough because you will never see a person
with a slim, long, lean, model leg while your upper body is out of shape.
Same as you will never see a person with a beautiful upper body look,
having a slim arm and sexy back while your lower body is out of shape.
Because once again, your body is too smart.
So only doing the abs workout to get into shape is not enough.
Don't neglect to train our other body parts, especially our upper body.
However, I hope you guys enjoy this workout and I will see you guys next week.
Bye!
