Welcome to Math with Mr. J.
In this video, I'm going to cover the first 10 multiples of 12.
Now remember, a multiple is the result of multiplying the given number by an integer.
So 1 times 12, 2 times 12, 3 times 12, so on and so forth.
Another way to think about multiples is to skip count.
So all of the numbers something is going to hit when counting up by that number,
those are all going to be multiples.
So looking at the multiples of 12, let's start with 1 times 12.
That gives us 12.
12 is the first multiple of 12.
Then we have 2 times 12.
That's 24.
24 is the second multiple of 12.
Then we have 3 times 12.
That's 36.
4 times 12 is 48.
5 times 12 is 60.
6 times 12 is 72.
7 times 12 is 84.
8 times 12 is 96.
9 times 12 is 108.
And 10 times 12 is 120.
Those are the first 10 multiples of 12.
Now do multiples stop there?
No, they continue on forever.
Multiples are infinite.
Now let's write these multiples in a list below.
And you'll notice we're just counting up by 12.
Like I mentioned earlier, another way to think about multiples is to skip count.
So we have 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, and those continue on.
So there you have it.
Those are the first 10 multiples of 12.
I hope that helped.
Thanks so much for watching.
Until next time, peace.
