Lately, I've been leaning into the little rituals that make me feel good.
My mornings usually start with coffee, music, and a bit of writing.
Classical music is what I'm listening to the most at the moment.
I was craving French toast, so I made some. It's a nostalgic dish for me and one of the
first things my mom taught me. Topped with cherry jam, it feels like the perfect August breakfast.
Later, I wanted to spend the afternoon drawing at a coffee shop.
On my way there, I stopped at a bookstore. I didn't need more books, but I love browsing.
I stumbled on three of my all-time favorites and, of course, couldn't resist picking up
two new ones. A French novel and a book of essays I've been curious about.
I'm trying to dedicate at least three hours a week to my art, so I ordered a nice matcha,
put on my earphones, and settled into a page for the rest of the afternoon.
Mozart in my ears, with a little summer breeze thrifting through, it was perfect.
And because perfect summer days deserve proper endings,
we made pizza and watched a movie before calling it a night.
