Guy Jumps Into Ice Water To Save Deer With Bucket Stuck On Her Head _ The Dodo

If the bucket had filled with water, it would have held her head down and she would have drowned. I saw the deer in the water actually swimming in circles. I took my boots off, took my vest off, and went into the water. It was ice, ice cold. I just knew that we had a life or death situation here and I had to act fast. Now she was going further and further out and I didn't feel confident to swim out there and grab her and bring her back. The boat, right? I saw a boat at the other end of the bay. Right here, buddy, come get me, I'll get him. The guy hurt? It's a paint can stuck on his head. All right, I'm with Animal Rescue. He came and he pulled me up, got me onto the boat. I got the call that it was jammed on. When I came, he was already in the water. If I get it off, he'll be able to go back to shore on his own unless I just grab him and put him on the boat. Let's see if he swims right and we get the camera. Come here, girl, come on. A little bit closer, a little bit closer. I'm laying on the front of the boat and I'm trying to grab the tail. A little bit more, a little bit more, almost. Once I grab this handle. I know. I got it. Nope, she went under the boat. Yes, it's off. All right, baby. It's off. Now you can see. Can you go by and get me that bucket? Sure. All right. We got it, buddy. I felt it pull my fingers and I could slip right off, that's amazing. All right, girl, let's get you back. Should I try to get her on the boat? Yeah, we gotta chase her, bud. Yeah, she's just going in circles. All right. I'm gonna grab her. Yeah. I laid on the front of the boat and I grabbed her to the front of the boat and held her. You hold, don't let go. Perfect, just hold her easy. She's gonna run right away. And she actually was very calm. I was able to feel her heartbeat in my hand. All right, honey. Almost there. She should be able to stand now. Go ahead. Yeah. It was great seeing her run off. So this was the bucket that was on her head. If people just recycled their garbage better, these animals wouldn't get themselves in so much trouble. They deserve to be able to enjoy mother nature as much as we do.
