welcome to math with Mr
J in this video I'm going to cover how
many fluid ounces are in a pint and then
how to convert pints to fluid ounces and
fluid ounces to pints to start there are
16 flu ounces in a pint in other words
one pint equals 16 flu ounces and I have
our big G over here representing a
gallon to help us with capacity
conversions so we have gallon quarts
pints cups and fluid ounces now within
each cup each of those C's there are
eight fluid ounces now if we focus in on
one pint one p there we have two cups
and in each of those cups again eight
fluid ounces that gives us 16 fluid
ounces let's jump into a couple of basic
conversions here where we will go from
pints to fluid ounces and fluid ounces
to pints starting with number one where
we have three pintes equals how many
fluid ounces well each pint equals 16
flu ounces so we have 16 flu ounces 16
flu ounces and 16 flu ounces so we need
to do 3 * 16 and that's how we convert
pints to fluid ounces we multiply by 16
now 3 * 16 gives us 48 3 pints equals 48
fluid fluid ounces again when we go from
pints to fluid ounces multiply by 16
let's move on to number two where we
have 80 flu ounces equals how many pints
so flu ounces to pints here well each
group of 16 flu ounces equals a pint so
how many groups of 16 flu ounces in 80
flu ounces we need to divide here we
need to do 80 divided
by 16 so when we go from fluid ounces to
pints we divide by 16 80 / 16 gives us 5
80 flu ounces equals 5 pins so again flu
ounces 2 Pines we divide by 16 so there
you have it there's how many fluid
ounces equal a pint 16 along with some
conversion examples check the
description for more measurement
conversion videos I hope that helped
thanks so much for watching until next
time peace
